Fu Zi's father, having been subtly informed by Niu Meili that Fu Zi harbored feelings for Hao Zeyu, began arranging blind dates for his daughter, emphasizing the importance of finding a suitable match based on social standing. Fu Zi, feeling speechless and making an excuse about an upcoming interview, managed to slip away. Later, Fu Zi returned home feeling downcast, but her spirits lifted when Hao Zeyu also arrived, brimming with excitement.

He announced to Fu Zi and her father that he had successfully auditioned for a role in Director Wang's film, specifically a diving scene. Fu Zi's father was even more overjoyed than Hao Zeyu and immediately went out to buy groceries to celebrate. Back home, Hao Zeyu prepared some cold medicine and, with obvious sincerity, apologized to Fu Zi for some harsh words he had spoken previously.

He also thanked her for posting things online to support him and earnestly pleaded with her not to resign. Fu Zi clarified that her desire to quit was not because she was "mad we're at each other," but rather because she genuinely felt unable to perform the duties of an assistant.

After persistent persuasion and negotiation from Hao Zeyu, Fu Zi eventually agreed to remain his assistant for a period of time, specifically one and a half months, to give him an opportunity to find a new assistant. Fu Zi then asked Hao Zeyu why he had suddenly changed his mind about auditioning after previously being so resistant.

Hao Zeyu, visibly excited, revealed that he had met a "benefactor" – Yan Rujing, Bai Jiaojiao's agent (whom Fu Zi initially mistook for Bai Jiaojiao herself) – and that meeting had made him fully understand or change his mind. Yan Rujing was pleased to learn Hao Zeyu had secured Director Wang's role, which, though a male lead #2 part, was considered highly valuable.

She also acknowledged that Hao Zeyu had achieved this through his own efforts, noting his competitive spirit was quite similar to Bai Jiaojiao's, and didn't forget to warn Bai Jiaojiao to seize her own opportunities. To celebrate Hao Zeyu's success, Fu Zi's father prepared a magnificent feast, and everyone gathered to enjoy it. During the celebration, Yan Rujing called to congratulate Hao Zeyu and invited him out to celebrate.

Hao Zeyu declined, explaining he was currently dining with his agent and family, promising to treat her another day. After Yan Rujing hung up, Bai Jiaojiao, who had been with Yan Rujing, sent Hao Zeyu a text message asking him to call her back privately. In her call, Bai Jiaojiao reminded Hao Zeyu that his success in securing the role was entirely due to Yan Rujing's intervention, implying Director Wang would not have waited an extra day in Beijing otherwise.

She emphasized that he should have celebrated with Yan Rujing first. Startled and processing this information, Hao Zeyu quickly made an excuse to everyone, saying he had an urgent matter, and left. Niu Meili and Fu Zi were left confused, wondering where he had gone. Hao Zeyu then brought a gift to Yan Rujing's home, where he joined her and Bai Jiaojiao in a celebratory toast.

He found himself uncomfortable and unsure how to proceed with the spread of high-end Western cuisine, which included global limited-edition items and top-tier caviar, served with exquisitely delicate tableware, especially as Yan Rujing and Bai Jiaojiao discussed the ingredients. The two women, speaking in unison, hinted that Hao Zeyu needed a new agent, suggesting that while his sudden popularity might have involved luck, future career growth couldn't rely solely on it.

Yan Rujing directly stated her intention to take over Hao Zeyu's management, an idea Bai Jiaojiao supported, and stressed his need for a more professional management team. Though flattered and internally pleased, Hao Zeyu firmly declined their offer. He explained that he owed Niu Meili and Fu Zi far too much for their support throughout his journey, especially when he was at his lowest point, and felt it would be utterly wrong to abandon them now.

He asserted that he didn't care about the team's professionalism or how far he could go. Yan Rujing, visibly annoyed, revealed that ten years prior, during his talent show, she had wanted to sign him but was beaten to it by Teng Dan.

She explained that her current desire to sign Hao Zeyu was not only to help him but also to fulfill Teng Dan's wish, pressing him to consider whether he desired to succeed and gain fame or merely be a flash in the pan. Hao Zeyu refused a second time, arguing that the relationship between an actor and an agent should be like family.

He pointed out that his current "family" had painstakingly supported him, and now, with Yan Rujing's sudden appearance, he didn't want fleeting fame or grand success; he simply wished to be a good actor. Walking home late that night, Hao Zeyu's mind was preoccupied with Yan Rujing's somewhat threatening words, leaving him with a complex mix of emotions. Upon returning home, he, still troubled, asked Fu Zi's father if he had ever eaten Western food.

Fu Zi's father's answer only added to Hao Zeyu's internal dilemma, making him ponder whether, despite their delicious home-cooked meals, they truly didn't aspire to more "higher-class meals." Separately, Niu Meili met with Ren Jiajia's father, informing him that Ren Jiajia was staying at her house. She expressed her concern, stating that Ren Jiajia was still young and needed her biological father's care and companionship.

However, Ren Jiajia's father revealed that he was very busy and was getting married to his girlfriend soon. Niu Meili was enraged, finding it incredibly ironic that he would remarry so soon after Teng Dan's passing, even suspecting he had been with this girlfriend earlier. Ren Jiajia's father retorted that it was none of Niu Meili's business and that he was doing this for Ren Jiajia's sake, to provide her with a complete family environment.

He even asked Niu Meili to persuade Ren Jiajia to accept the situation if she truly cared for her. Niu Meili was left speechless and promptly left. Meanwhile, Zhao Xiaobei confronted Yan Rujing, reprimanding her for privately approaching Hao Zeyu. Yan Rujing, however, remained indifferent, becoming even more determined to sign Hao Zeyu, whom she found more appealing than her current artists, whom she deemed ungrateful.

Zhao Xiaobei retorted that her artists were ungrateful because she had never truly accompanied them. Yan Rujing did not refute this but instead instructed Zhao Xiaobei to find an opportune moment to arrange a meeting with Niu Meili to discuss the termination of Hao Zeyu's contract.

Zhao Xiaobei, clearly exasperated, suggested that Yan Rujing should find a new promising artist and offer them to Niu Meili as a resource exchange, which might make Niu Meili more amenable to letting Hao Zeyu go. Yan Rujing then cynically implied that Zhao Xiaobei's intentions towards Niu Meili were not entirely pure.

Zhao Xiaobei, disgusted, responded that he was different from Yan Rujing, clarifying that he believed Niu Meili struggled to manage Hao Zeyu and was quite naive, and he simply didn't want to see her continue to be unhappy because of Hao Zeyu.
