After selling his house, Lu Zichen had to live at the office. Due to recent issues, his serialized novel hadn’t been updated for two weeks, which could negatively impact the company. Nan Xing didn’t know what to do. Employees began to speculate the company might go bankrupt, so Nan Xing hurried to calm them. She found Ye Qing and told her everything, hoping she would return.

Ye Qing hinted to Lu Zichen, but he had his own plans and insisted on making decisions himself. Given their current relationship, he wouldn’t listen to her advice. Nan Xing felt helpless, unable to solve the company’s problems. Ye Qing comforted her and even bought her a bear-shaped cake. Seeing the cake, Nan Xing burst into tears. Lu Zichen finally finished a manuscript and asked Nan Xing to return to the office to proofread.

As she was proofreading, a fire broke out near the cardboard boxes. Lu Zichen ran to get a fire extinguisher, leaving Nan Xing alone. Terrified by the fire, Nan Xing cried out desperately for Xiao Wudi. At Hehuan Palace, Xiao Wudi heard her calling but didn’t know how to return.

Zhen Xianzi appeared and said he could send Xiao Wudi back, but only if he agreed to a condition: if their relationship was destined to end in tragedy, Xiao Wudi alone would bear the pain. Xiao Wudi reappeared and carried Nan Xing to the couch. When she opened her eyes and saw him, she immediately hugged him, saying how much she missed him.

Xiao Wudi pretended not to recognize her and didn’t want to hear anything—he told her to forget about him. Nan Xing knew it was him and insisted, shouting his name and telling him how important he was to her. Ye Qing came to the office to see Lu Zichen, bringing him a lot of food. He asked how she had been; Ye Qing said she was enjoying her free time.

Lu Zichen told her not to worry about the company anymore, and Ye Qing told him to take care of himself. The atmosphere between them was awkward, and nothing was clarified. Nan Xing returned home absentmindedly. She first went to Xiao Wudi’s room but didn’t see him. Xiao Wudi sat by the roadside, numbing himself with beer.

This time, he wanted Nan Xing to forget him, believing that if they weren’t together, she wouldn’t have to lose someone she loved again. Holding the little bear named Wudi, Nan Xing suddenly realized he might be faking his memory loss and deliberately acted cheerful in front of him. She summoned Xiao Wudi again, saying she was his girlfriend and he must do whatever she said. She had Lu Zichen move into Xiao Wudi’s room, which Xiao Wudi saw.

He decided not to leave. Nan Xing saw through his fake amnesia, and Xiao Wudi told her about Zhen Xianzi’s condition. Nan Xing said she was ready, and as long as they were together now, it was enough. Xiao Wudi inadvertently revealed that he was Nan Xing’s first love. Lu Zichen stayed in Xiao Wudi’s room but said he wasn’t used to sharing. Xiao Wudi replied that he hadn’t complained.

Nan Xing, reluctant to part, told Xiao Wudi to go to bed and kissed him on the tip of her toes. After returning to her room, she woke up in the middle of the night to find Xiao Wudi beside her bed. He didn’t want to leave and only wanted to stay with her. He promised he wouldn’t disappear so easily this time.
