Nan Xing apologized to Xiao Wudi. She didn’t summon him on purpose; she just really wanted to invite him to play an escape room. She thought Xiao Wudi was still angry. Xiao Wudi hesitated but denied being angry. The two entered the escape room, with Sisi and Xiao Hao in the lead. The lighting inside was dim. Xiao Wudi and Nan Xing were grouped together. To pass the level, they had to perform a few tasks together.

If they completed them, it meant they hadn’t been "infected. " At first, they had fun completing the tasks, but the final one required them to hug. Xiao Wudi froze—he didn’t dare accept the hug. Nan Xing found it strange, saying he had been acting awkward lately and that the old Xiao Wudi was so straightforward. Xiao Wudi initially didn’t want to admit anything, but under Nan Xing’s words, he took the initiative to hug her.

In his heart, he confessed to himself that the one he liked was Nan Xing. After the door opened, Nan Xing didn’t notice anything and thought Xiao Wudi liked another girl. Xiao Wudi realized Nan Xing hadn’t figured it out. The two rode bikes home happily. Back at home, Nan Xing’s mom encouraged her to continue writing her novel. Nan Xing said that after getting to know Lu Zichen, she couldn’t find inspiration to write.

Her mom suggested using Xiao Wudi as a muse, saying she really wanted to read the rest of the novel. Nan Xing thought about it but kept saying no. Xiao Wudi was very happy. He didn’t want to suppress himself anymore. Since Nan Xing couldn’t see through his feelings, he texted her to arrange more escape room activities. He carefully prepared breakfast, hoping Nan Xing would come find him, but she went to work without saying a word.

Xiao Wudi was furious. Ye Qing discovered Nan Xing’s novel on the forum and invited her to join the company’s Rising Star Project, praising her excellent writing. Nan Xing read the comments—ever since she added the character Xiao Wudi, the feedback had been overwhelmingly positive. Lu Zichen came to Nan Xing again, asking how he could develop his relationship with Ye Qing.

Nan Xing didn’t want to answer, saying she’d been single for years and had no dating experience—at most, she could suggest creating more "accidental encounters. Nan Xing had work to do, but Xiao Wudi asked her to play another escape room with him that night, and she couldn’t refuse.

Lu Zichen took Nan Xing’s advice and tried to create a chance encounter with Ye Qing at the office to get her attention. Xiao Wudi thought there would be another hugging opportunity at the escape room, but things didn’t go as expected—he almost got an NPC’s flying kiss instead. He didn’t like the escape room—it didn’t give him a chance to hug Nan Xing like last time.

Nan Xing had to rush home, unsure what to write for a new story for the Rising Star Project. Xiao Wudi went crazy and went to Xianzi Spring to rant—only to see Nan Xing there again. Knowing he was hiding something, Nan Xing gently pressed him to tell the truth. Xiao Wudi couldn’t resist, blushing and sweating, and eventually fainted.
