Na Sheng, having already obtained the Water Dispelling Pearl, bravely volunteered to venture into the Ghost and Deity Abyss to help Zhen Lan unlock his seal, unafraid of the dangers. Xi Jing saw her and Yan Xi off, thanking Yan Xi for his help on behalf of Kongsang and expressing concern about Su Mo's potential anger.

Yan Xi, however, believed Su Mo would understand, and Na Sheng promised to plead for mercy on Yan Xi's behalf if Su Mo blamed him. Xi Jing urged Yan Xi to take good care of Na Sheng and ensure both returned safely. Xi Jing also mentioned that once this seal was unlocked, only the Jing Pagoda seal would remain, and the biggest concern would be the six kings turning to ash, a decision they had prepared for a century ago.

Before descending into the Ghost and Deity Abyss, Yan Xi asked Na Sheng if she was afraid, and she firmly replied she was not, invoking the ancestors for protection. Bai Ying suddenly sensed Na Sheng was in danger. Su Mo then summoned the High Priest to inquire about Na Sheng's whereabouts. Upon learning that Na Sheng had ventured into the perilous Ghost and Deity Abyss, Su Mo became deeply concerned for her safety and resolved to go to her aid.

Deep within the Ghost and Deity Abyss, Na Sheng and Yan Xi faced treacherous currents that nearly pulled them in, but they were temporarily saved by a large rock. Yan Xi instructed Na Sheng to wait while he ventured inside to retrieve the Six Directions Seal, which he successfully acquired. Na Sheng then used the Heavenly Ring to open the seal. Miles away, Zhi Zhe felt the seal being unlocked and was pleased at their speed.

He ominously commented on the overlapping of life and death, start and end, and reincarnation, hinting at Zhen Lan's challenging path to reclaiming his imperial power. Meanwhile, Zhen Lan's spiritual awareness was disturbed by a dark power, and four princes worked to protect him with spells, though their power seemed insufficient. Despite this, with the seal now broken, Zhen Lan awakened, defiantly declaring he was ready for whatever came next. He acknowledged Na Sheng's success to Bai Ying.

Just as Na Sheng and Yan Xi felt a moment of relief, the powerful suction returned, pulling away Na Sheng's Water Dispelling Pearl. Na Sheng collapsed, unconscious, and Yan Xi immediately administered mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to revive her. The High Priest used a water mirror to show everyone the dire situation Na Sheng and Yan Xi were in.

Zhen Lan, having just recovered, firmly decided to go to the Ghost and Deity Abyss himself, unwilling to let anyone else perish because of him. With Yan Xi's help, Na Sheng was brought to shore, unharmed, but Yan Xi himself fell unconscious from lack of oxygen. Su Mo arrived quickly, assessing Yan Xi's condition, and immediately took him away for treatment.

Shortly after, Zhen Lan arrived at the scene and, finding Na Sheng injured, carried her back to the main camp. Back at the camp, Su Mo informed Ning Liang that Yan Xi was undergoing rebirth, explaining that it was an agonizing process where his bones and essence would crack and break, but it was Yan Xi's deepest desire to be able to love one person for a lifetime.

Bai Ying and Zhen Lan returned, and Bai Ying presented the blank scroll she had received from Zhi Zhe. Zhen Lan used Kongsang magic to reveal a portrait of Queen Bai Wei. Bai Ying, recalling her interactions with Zhi Zhe in the Jing Pagoda, felt strongly that his expressions indicated he had personally experienced the events depicted and thus suspected he was King Xing Zun.

Zhen Lan expressed deep concern that the opening of Wuse City would lead to the disappearance of the six princes and Bai Ying turning to ash. He promised Bai Ying that he would find a solution to protect them all. Later, Yan Xi woke up, his first words being a question about Na Sheng's safety. Su Mo reassured him that Na Sheng was being cared for.

Yan Xi expressed his shame for having gone to the Ghost and Deity Abyss without Su Mo's permission. Su Mo then questioned the loss of the Water Dispelling Pearl, emphasizing that it was a precious relic of Yan Ran and should not be left in the dark abyss. Despite Yan Xi's desire to accompany him, Su Mo instructed him to stay and recover, while he himself ventured to retrieve the pearl.

Alone, Yan Xi reflected on his rebirth, apologizing to Ning Liang in his thoughts for breaking their oath. Su Mo successfully retrieved the Water Dispelling Pearl from the Ghost and Deity Abyss.

He pondered the sealed memories he briefly glimpsed, which seemed to belong to Yan Ran and Chun Huang, and wondered about the complex relationship between Yan Ran, Chun Huang, and Queen Bai Wei, and what chain of events might have led Kongsang and Quanxian to war, despite their past alliance. Meanwhile, Na Sheng, having recovered, refused to get out of bed, insisting on continuing her beautiful dream where she could meet Yan Xi.

Xi Jing tried to tempt her with descriptions of various delicacies from Yunhuang and the Central Plains, but Na Sheng remained steadfast, only willing to wake if Yan Xi came for her. Su Mo then arrived and told Na Sheng he had something for her, but she would have to find it herself by the lake. This news finally spurred Na Sheng to leap out of bed.

By the lake, she was overjoyed to find Yan Xi, who now appeared more handsome and manly, without the mark on his forehead. She soon realized he had undergone rebirth, and to her delight, he confessed it was for her. Yan Xi then presented her with the Water Dispelling Pearl, explaining that Su Mo had personally retrieved it and intended it as Quanxian's betrothal gift to her.

Na Sheng was overcome with happiness, proclaiming it the happiest day of her life, a sentiment Yan Xi echoed. Su Mo later shared the news of Yan Xi's rebirth with Zhen Lan and Bai Ying, who were also pleased. Su Mo then reiterated his earlier glimpses of 7000-year-old memories from the Water Dispelling Pearl, confessing he didn't fully understand them but believed someone was purposefully stirring up trouble.

Zhen Lan initially suspected Su Mo was simply delving into ancient history, but Su Mo insisted that understanding the past was vital if it impacted current events. When Bai Ying attempted to recount her experiences with Zhi Zhe in the Jing Pagoda, Zhen Lan interjected, stating he would investigate himself and did not wish Su Mo to be burdened with the information.

Perceiving Zhen Lan's attempt to conceal details, Su Mo confronted him, prompting Zhen Lan to reveal that Zhi Zhe was a Kongsang person. This confirmed Su Mo's suspicion that Zhi Zhe was indeed King Xing Zun, whose real face he had seen in the Sunlight Blocking Pearl and noticed its striking resemblance to Zhen Lan.

Su Mo further speculated about Zhi Zhe's ancient lifespan and his motivations for aiding Cangliu against Kongsang, as well as the deeper secrets surrounding King Xing Zun, Queen Bai Wei, and Chun Huang. Believing the Dragon Deity in the Stranded Dragon Abyss held the truth, Su Mo declared his intention to release it.

Zhen Lan expressed concern about the risks, acknowledging he couldn't assist Su Mo until he found a way to prevent the six princes from turning to ash upon the final seal's release. He decided his best course of action was to return to Jing Pagoda and consult the Dark Golden Classics, which contained records of Yunhuang's history from 7,000 years ago.

Agreeing to split up, Su Mo decided to head to the Stranded Dragon Abyss, while Zhen Lan and Bai Ying remained at their current location, Zhen Lan planning to go to Jing Pagoda.
