Fearing her departure, You Tian confessed his long-held feelings, admitting he liked her and wanted her to stay.
He explained his fear of expressing his feelings earlier, but realized she was the only one he truly missed. Maria, however, questioned his sincerity, giving him three months to prove his devotion, threatening to leave immediately if he failed. As they embraced, You Tian's fiancée, Crystal, entered. Devastated, Crystal cried out You Tian's name, expressing her disappointment and criticism before running off. Maria urged You Tian to follow her.

While unable to identify the man in the photo, he mentioned her mother had a boyfriend at the time and that some of her belongings had been sent from Huiyang, suggesting a place she had lived. He encouraged An Chuxia to persevere in her dreams, just as her mother had. Xiang Mankui invited Han Qilu to an astronomical photography exhibition by Mr. Stroff, Han Qilu's favorite photographer, emphasizing its rarity as Mr. Stroff had never exhibited in China before.
Han Qilu accepted the invitation. Overwhelmed by the revelation about her mother and the possible clue regarding her father, An Chuxia confided in Ling Hanyu, who offered his support and promised to keep their conversation secret. Back at the Han residence, An Chuxia considered asking Han Qilu for help but decided against it when he mentioned attending Mr. Stroff's exhibition with a friend. Instead, she packed a bag, intending to travel to Huiyang independently.
Han Qilu later went to An Chuxia's room to invite her to dinner. Finding the room empty, he discovered a note from An Chuxia stating she would stay overnight at Xiao Nan's and a train ticket on the floor. Simultaneously, An Chuxia realized she had forgotten her ticket and asked her driver to return to the Han residence. At the gate, Han Qilu encountered An Chuxia, mistakenly believing she was eloping with someone named Jiang Chen Chuan.
An Chuxia clarified that she was going to Huiyang to investigate a clue about her father. Hearing the truth, Han Qilu immediately abandoned his plans to attend the exhibition and decided to accompany An Chuxia to Huiyang. Xiang Mankui waited patiently at the exhibition, but Han Qilu never arrived.
