Master Devil Do Not Kiss Me 2 Episode 16 Recap
> Master Devil Do Not Kiss Me 2 Recap
During dinner at the Han family's residence, Han Qilu lavishly praised Xiang Mankui's cooking, declaring all the dishes his favorites and extolling the joys of having a chef at home. Xiang Mankui modestly offered to cook for him daily, given the lack of other cooks. Han Qilu readily agreed, jokingly threatening to "die young" if forced to endure An Chuxia's cooking for a week.
He then solicitously inquired about Xiang Mankui's foot injury, offering to take her to the hospital after dinner. Xiang Mankui reassured him she was fine, but Han Qilu persisted, worried she might be unable to cook. Feeling increasingly uncomfortable, An Chuxia prematurely declared herself full despite barely eating, claiming a diet. Han Qilu retorted that she was "quite fat" and needed to eat more to have the energy to be his maid.
An Chuxia bristled at this, and her phone rang. Han Qilu attempted to prevent her from answering, but she ignored him and took a call from Jiang Chenchuan, who invited her to a street food stall. Later, with only Han Qilu and Xiang Mankui remaining, Xiang Mankui subtly hinted at a reconciliation, suggesting An Chuxia and Jiang Chenchuan seemed well-suited. Han Qilu dismissed the idea. When Xiang Mankui attempted to initiate a more serious conversation with "Can we. . ."
, Han Qilu quickly interrupted, citing the lateness of the hour and offering to drive her home so she could rest before her early morning. Meanwhile, Jiang Chenchuan and his friend Feng Shao planned to get An Chuxia drunk to prevent her from returning to the Han residence alone with Han Qilu. An Chuxia, already tipsy, loudly criticized Han Qilu, calling him a jerk and accusing Xiang Mankui of insincerity, while Han Qilu remained oblivious to their perceived flirting.
Feng Shao then received a call and left, instructing Jiang Chenchuan to look after An Chuxia. Alone with An Chuxia, Jiang Chenchuan continued to ply her with alcohol, internally apologizing, believing it was for her own good. He was surprised by her high tolerance but continued encouraging her to drink responsibly. After driving Xiang Mankui home, Han Qilu called An Chuxia, but her phone was switched off. He then called Jiang Chenchuan.
Jiang Chenchuan answered, attempting to hide An Chuxia, but she grabbed the phone. In her intoxicated state, An Chuxia insulted Han Qilu, calling him an idiot, a fool, and various types of eggs, demanding he find his "Little Kui" instead of bothering her. She refused to reveal her location. Jiang Chenchuan quickly decided they should leave to avoid being discovered by Han Qilu.
The next morning, An Chuxia and Jiang Chenchuan were found asleep on the school lawn, sparking gossip amongst students. Han Qilu confronted An Chuxia, angrily demanding an explanation for her actions with Jiang Chenchuan the previous night. An Chuxia countered by accusing him of hypocrisy, citing his obvious flirting with Xiang Mankui and their "candlelight dinner," where she felt like an unwelcome third wheel.
An Chuxia urged Han Qilu to acknowledge his feelings for Xiang Mankui and reconcile openly, declaring that she was "not a buy-one-get-one-free gift" in his romantic pursuits. She then threw something at him, calling him crazy. At the hospital, Han Liu Hai received attentive care from Meng Meng, who brought him fresh fruit daily. Jiang Yuanyuan arrived, visibly irritated by Meng Meng's attentiveness. Meng Meng insisted she wasn't tired of caring for "Brother Liu."
After Meng Meng's departure, a jealous Jiang Yuanyuan impulsively decided to discharge Han Liu Hai. He protested, reminding her of her previous insistence on a full recovery. Despite his objections, Jiang Yuanyuan persisted until remembering the ongoing company crisis. Fearing Han Liu Hai's health might worsen if he returned to work prematurely, she changed her mind, insisting he remain hospitalized, even fabricating a story about the doctor confiscating their phones to prevent company contact.
Meanwhile, Han Qilu managed the family business. He reassured Jiang Yuanyuan by phone that he had a plan to address the company's crisis. His secretary informed him of a crucial investment program for Le Xi, requiring a 100 million investment to help Han's Group overcome its difficulties. The investors were assessing the company's resilience. Han Qilu learned the potential investors were "old acquaintances." To his surprise, the representative introduced himself as Ling Hanyu, executive director of Ling Hang Enterprise.
