Still reeling from the revelation that Lu Jing was hiding his study abroad plans, Liang Chen is in a foul mood. Lu Jing, who has been waiting outside her apartment all night and even fell while chasing her car, watches from a distance as she struggles through a band rehearsal, making frequent mistakes. Her assistant, Ke Ke, notes she is unwell, but when she mentions Lu Jing is waiting, a preoccupied Liang Chen dismisses him, stating she needs to work.
Overhearing this, Lu Jing quietly leaves so as not to disturb her. Later, a frantic Sun Binyu calls Liang Chen, telling her Lu Jing's grandmother is worried because he hasn't been home since the previous night and his phone is off. During the call, Sun Binyu reveals that Lu Jing had already decided not to study abroad and didn't tell her because he felt it wasn't a big deal.
Alarmed, Liang Chen rushes out to find him, only to discover him waiting for her downstairs. She confronts him, her phone having died. Apologizing for giving him the cold shoulder, she admits she was wrong after reflecting for two days. However, she is still upset that he would make such a life-altering decision without her, questioning his trust in their relationship's ability to withstand distance. She tells him to go home and reflect on his actions.
Lu Jing, distressed, runs on the university basketball court for hours. His roommates, worried he might collapse, mistakenly conclude that his heartbreak is over Gu Fei Ming. They storm Gu Fei Ming’s room and confront him, demanding he choose between his girlfriend "Qi Qi" and Lu Jing. After the comical misunderstanding is cleared up and they realize Gu Fei Ming is not the gamer "Little Box," they decide to call the real one.
Using a power bank to charge Lu Jing's phone, they find the contact "Box Spirit" and call it, only to hear Lu Jing's own phone ring. In a last-ditch effort, they call Lu Jing's girlfriend. Meanwhile, Ma Shanshan visits Liang Chen to thank her for her help. The two have a heart-to-heart, where Ma Shanshan suggests Liang Chen might be happier with a more mature, stable man.
Liang Chen disagrees, explaining she cherishes being with an "immature boy" who loves her wholeheartedly and with whom she can grow. Just then, she receives the call from Lu Jing's roommates, who frantically explain his situation and urge her to come to the basketball court. Upon her arrival, Lu Jing's roommates are stunned to realize his girlfriend is the famous singer Liang Chen. She finds Lu Jing shivering in the cold and they finally talk.
Lu Jing explains his decision not to go abroad was carefully considered: he wants to stay for his aging grandparents, believes the domestic tech industry offers great opportunities, and most importantly, he wants to be with her. Liang Chen clarifies that her anger stemmed not from his decision, but from being the last to know, which made her fear she was ruining his future. They both apologize for their immaturity and lack of communication.
They promise to face the future together, with Liang Chen accepting the challenges of her career and Lu Jing vowing to support her through it all. Their tender moment is interrupted by Lu Jing's roommates, who enthusiastically list his virtues to Liang Chen, calling him a "treasure" and even attempting a "fist-swallowing" trick he supposedly taught them. As Liang Chen leaves, Lu Jing insists on walking her home.
Separately, Ma Shanshan calls Sun Binyu to treat him to dinner as a thank you. After the meal, he playfully suggests they dine and dash, and they run out of the restaurant, leaving Ma Shanshan shocked and angry. He soon reveals he had already paid the bill, teasing her about resorting to violence before offering to take her for hotpot since she barely ate.
