As Liang Chen concluded her song, Qi Qi and Lu Jing stepped onto the stage to present her with flowers. While receiving the origami bouquet, Liang Chen’s hand brushed against Lu Jing's, and she noted how hot his hand was. Lu Jing explained it was due to his "boiling blood." As she instinctively pulled back, the flowers fell. When they both bent down to retrieve them, Liang Chen accidentally touched his hand again.
Later, Qi Qi praised Liang Chen's performance and her cute outfit, and a friend noted the origami flowers were a thoughtful gift, likely chosen because of Liang Chen's pollen allergy. After the event, Liang Chen left the restroom to find Lu Jing waiting for her. Though she tried to avoid him, Lu Jing stepped forward and draped a scarf around her neck, advising her to keep warm.
After Liang Chen departed, Qi Qi asked Lu Jing to teach her how to fold the paper roses, and he agreed to send her a tutorial video. Holding the paper roses, a pleased Liang Chen was being driven off campus when she spotted a drunk Ma Shanshan. Liang Chen decided to take her home.
During the ride, her thoughts drifted to a past performance where Ma Shanshan failed to show up, forcing Liang Chen to perform alone and seemingly abandoning their shared musical dream. Meanwhile, Lu Jing discovered an anonymous post on the university forum from his friend, "Baby Da Yan," who had forgotten to hide their IP address. The post requested memes of a male celebrity, prompting Lu Jing's other friends to tease the poster.
Frustrated with her own poor gaming skills in "Beautiful Soul" and finding Lu Jing offline, Liang Chen decided to create a secondary account to practice on her own. The next day, Ding Jiayun gave Sun Binyu a ride home from the airport. In their building's elevator, they encountered Lu Jing, who declined Ding Jiayun’s invitation to hang out.
In his apartment, Ding Jiayun told Sun Binyu that he had realized their neighbor, Lu Jing, was the gaming master playing with Liang Chen. Later, Ma Shanshan visited Ding Jiayun's place and asked about Lu Jing. After Ding Jiayun confirmed he was a university student, he began planning a welcome-back dinner for Director He, intending to invite Liang Chen and Ma Shanshan.
Struggling with the game on her new account, Liang Chen messaged Lu Jing for help, claiming it was for work. He agreed, and during their game, he offered to teach her "step by step." Suddenly, their neighbor Sun Binyu burst into Lu Jing’s apartment, accusing him of flirting. He angrily contrasted Lu Jing’s current patience with how Lu Jing had abandoned him for being a bad player, accusing him of giving a girl special treatment.
Hearing the commotion, Lu Jing's grandmother mistakenly thought they were fighting over the same girl. Sun Binyu called Lu Jing outrageously flirty, a trait he claimed was learned from Director He. Lu Jing ended the argument, telling Sun Binyu not to reveal that he knows Liang Chen's true identity. Later, Liang Chen called Ma Shanshan to retrieve earphones she’d left in her car, and Ma Shanshan agreed to bring them over. Just then, Lu Jing appeared at Liang Chen's door.
Anxious for him to leave before Ma Shanshan arrived, Liang Chen rushed him out, packing some skewers for him to take. As he was leaving, Lu Jing mentioned he knew Ma Shanshan from a past film project and invited Liang Chen to a dinner party at his house the next evening. Immediately after he left, Ma Shanshan arrived, leading to a brief, awkward encounter between her and Lu Jing at the door before Liang Chen welcomed her inside.
