Ding Yunqi arrived at Xuanwei Zitan to meet Cui Yanzhi, hoping to discover the identity of the person who used explosives to bomb the Han tomb. Master Jiu, Cui Yanzhi's assistant, sensed Ding Yunqi's intentions, noting he sat in the Kuigang Direction, an important position, and seemed to be "here for some benefits." Master Jiu questioned Ding Yunqi about "where he came from," a traditional greeting in the martial world.

Ding Yunqi stated he was not part of their community and did not understand its rules, explaining he came only to ask Ms. Cui for something. When Master Jiu responded that his "spirit" alone would not grant him an audience, Ding Yunqi revealed his identity as a descendant of the Ding family, the Heaven Official family of the Penta-sect.

Acknowledging this "changed things," Master Jiu tested him with a traditional saying, "Five elements gather at the lantern, smile with a flower," which was a well-known "topic for Ding family's kids." Ding Yunqi promptly responded, confirming his identity. Following this, Cui Yanzhi descended to meet him. She immediately flirted with Ding Yunqi, calling him handsome and asking him to call her Yanzhi, eventually settling on "Yanzhi sister" as they sat together.

Ding Yunqi directly stated his purpose: he needed a batch of explosives, the kind used to "bomb a tomb." Cui Yanzhi initially refused, claiming she couldn't help. Ding Yunqi then produced a photo of her subordinate, Cui Yi, conducting an explosive transaction. Cui Yanzhi feigned admiration for the photography before angrily slapping Cui Yi and scolding him for his carelessness.

Ding Yunqi explained that a Han tomb had been robbed using explosives, and Luo Yunsong, the police director, had blamed his father. He emphasized that the Ding family would not take responsibility for a crime committed with explosives, particularly the batch sold by Cui Yi. He warned Cui Yanzhi that if she didn't reveal the buyer, she too would be implicated.

Cui Yanzhi agreed to find the buyer's information within a day or two, and Ding Yunqi left, promising to bring the photo negative the next day. Outside, Wu Shuang was waiting for Ding Yunqi and expressed her anger that he had gone alone, risking danger and doing things behind her back.

Ding Yunqi playfully teased her about being eager for a fight, which she denied, but he insisted that with her skills, she was always looking for a chance to use them. He then apologized, offering to buy her soda or San Jin's meat buns to appease her. Meanwhile, Cui Yanzhi went to Commander Hu's headquarters. She informed him that his bombing of the Han tomb was being investigated.

Commander Hu, unconcerned, confirmed he had bombed the tomb to "get what I want in the chaos" and frame the Penta-sect, reminding Cui Yanzhi of their 9:1 profit-sharing agreement for selling the stolen treasures. Commander Hu revealed his true ambition: to acquire the legendary Kunlun Mountains. He believed Luo Yunsong's intense public search for Ding Yuanshan was proof of the Kunlun Mountains' existence.

He also disclosed that Xue Dingfeng, a former associate of Luo Jiutian known as Huanghe Laogui, had offered him "a set of wealth," a reference to the Kunlun Mountains. Commander Hu instructed Cui Yanzhi to spread the news that he was the one who bombed the Han tomb, hoping to bait Luo Yunsong and gain intelligence.

Later, Master Jiu visited Ding Yunqi's residence, delivering a letter that confirmed Commander Hu, also known as General Sanxi and "Meishan," was the instigator of the tomb raid. Wu Shuang was surprised by Master Jiu's knowledge of their address, to which Ding Yunqi explained that Cui Yanzhi was subtly demonstrating her extensive intelligence network. He also understood that by sending the letter, Cui Yanzhi was distancing herself from the escalating conflict.

Ding Yunqi offered to return Cui Yi's photo negative, but Master Jiu declined, stating Cui Yanzhi trusted Ding Yunqi to keep it. Ding Yunqi interpreted this as Cui Yanzhi wanting to remain unentangled in the feud between him and Commander Hu. He then expressed his intention to use the letter to clear his father's name and retrieve the dragon bone from Luo Yunsong.

However, Wu Shuang argued that Luo Yunsong didn't care about the tomb's true culprit; his sole focus was on capturing Ding Yuanshan. When Ding Yunqi questioned why she had then agreed to help open the tomb, Wu Shuang admitted she was putting her "only hope" in Chu Fengling to help her retrieve the dragon bone. Earlier, Wu Shuang had met with Chu Fengling and Luo Yunsong.

Chu Fengling informed Wu Shuang that Her Ladyship had ordered the opening of the Small Kunlun Han tomb and asked for her assistance. Wu Shuang initially hesitated, stating her master, Zhou Qiuhae, did not approve of tomb-opening and that she distrusted Luo Yunsong due to his poor reputation. Luo Yunsong then proposed a deal: if Wu Shuang helped open the Small Kunlun, he would return the dragon bone to Ding Yunqi.

He explained that the dragon bone itself held no value for him; his sole objective was to make Ding Yuanshan appear. Wu Shuang agreed on the condition that Luo Yunsong immediately return the dragon bone once the tomb was opened. She sternly warned him, swearing in front of Chu Fengling that if he reneged on his promise, she and the "thousand disciples" of the Penta-sect would pursue and kill him, asserting that the dragon bone was their sacred object.

Luo Yunsong remained calm, challenging her threat, but Wu Shuang reiterated that even an emperor's life wouldn't be safe from the Penta-sect's collective power. Despite Chu Fengling's attempt to mediate, Luo Yunsong declared the deal settled. Meanwhile, Luo Jiutian was facing difficulties with his opium trade. The cargo ship had arrived in international waters, and he was struggling to gather the funds to pay the full amount.

He had managed to avoid paying a deposit by invoking his personal "no deposit" rule. The seller complained, citing the deposit as an ancient business rule, but Luo Jiutian insisted that he was the only one in Shanghai who could handle such a large quantity of goods. The seller then mentioned the Xuanwei Zitan club, a powerful black market information hub run by a beautiful and resourceful woman, as another potential buyer capable of handling the large shipment.

Later, Ding Yunqi and Sun Sanxuan infiltrated Luo Yunsong's study. As Luo Yunsong entered the room, he sensed their presence and quickly drew a hidden pistol, only to find Ding Yunqi and Sun Sanxuan pointing a crossbow at him.
