Lost in The Kunlun Mountains Episode 30 Recap
> Lost in The Kunlun Mountains Recap
Wu Shuang, holding Zhou Qiuhai as a father figure, vowed to avenge his death, which she believed Luo Yunsong caused. She declared that she would take Luo Yunsong's life the next day and insisted that Ding Yunqi should not interfere with the Mound-digging Sect's affairs. Ding Yunqi, however, pressed Hua Xingchen to confirm if he had personally witnessed Luo Yunsong killing Zhou Qiuhai.
Hua Xingchen asserted that he saw it with his own eyes, and Jiang Xuewen, though not a witness, believed Hua Xingchen, noting the wounds on Zhou Qiuhai's body. Hua Xingchen further suggested Luo Yunsong's motive was to free Ding Yunqi from the Mound-digging Region. Jiang Xuewen warned Ding Yunqi against meddling in the Mound-digging Sect's internal affairs, emphasizing that while he would be respected as Wu Shuang's husband, he should leave if he stood with Luo Yunsong.
Ding Yunqi tried to prevent a larger conflict, but Wu Shuang remained steadfast in her determination for revenge, telling Ding Yunqi to leave and deliver her message to Luo Yunsong. Meanwhile, Luo Yunsong was convinced that Zhou Qiuhai's death was suspicious. He Biao had followed Tian Long to Zhou Qiuhai's Zen room, only for Luo Yunsong to enter shortly after and find Zhou Qiuhai already dead, with no signs of a struggle.
Luo Yunsong questioned how Tian Long could have killed Zhou Qiuhai and vanished so quickly. Sun Sanxuan initially suggested Zhou Qiuhai's martial arts were weak, but Luo Yunsong pointed out that Zhou Qiuhai was not Tian Long, leaving the true identity of Tian Long a mystery.
A report from their men guarding the Mound-digging Region revealed that Wu Shuang and Ding Yunqi had been brought down to the headquarters and were treated with unusual respect by the Mound-digging disciples, which Luo Yunsong found highly suspicious. Despite Chu Fengling's concerns that Wu Shuang would side with Hua Xingchen and that the current location was unsafe, Luo Yunsong insisted on returning to the Mound-digging headquarters.
He believed that if the Mound-digging Sect continued to view him as the murderer, Ding Yunqi would remain in danger, and he needed to clarify the situation to prevent Tian Long's scheme of causing infighting. Luo Yunsong believed Tian Long aimed to turn them against each other so he could benefit from their mutual destruction.
He dismissed Sun Sanxuan's suggestion to wait for Her Ladyship's reinforcements, asserting that Tian Long and the Mound-digging Sect would not allow them time, and the matter needed immediate resolution. Before leaving, Luo Yunsong pleaded with Chu Fengling to stay put, instructing He Biao to take her away and as far as possible if a signal flare appeared, in case anything happened to him. He promised to find them later.
Chu Fengling, however, was visibly upset and questioned He Biao if he would just watch Luo Yunsong go to his potential death. He Biao affirmed his belief in Luo Yunsong's actions. Wu Shuang struggled with deep self-reproach, confessing to Ding Yunqi that she didn't want to see him because his presence reminded her of her own failures.
She blamed herself for doubting Zhou Qiuhai and, for love, repeatedly defying her master who had rescued her, raised her, and taught her everything. She recounted how Zhou Qiuhai had always favored her but she had continuously disappointed him, even forcing him to consent to her marriage, which made him tremble with anger. She hated herself for suspecting her master of being the "evil man" Tian Long.
Ding Yunqi apologized for his own earlier misunderstandings about Zhou Qiuhai and tried to comfort her, assuring her that Zhou Qiuhai loved her and wouldn't blame her, and that they were now family. Ding Yunqi offered to examine Zhou Qiuhai's body to find evidence and bring justice, but Wu Shuang gently declined, wishing only for her master to rest in peace.
Despite her personal turmoil, Wu Shuang accepted the mantle of Mound-digging Sect Leader, a position she initially felt unsuited for, believing Zhou Qiuhai had appointed her to spare her from hardship. Jiang Xuewen, however, stressed the importance of her leadership in avenging Zhou Qiuhai and stabilizing the disheartened disciples. Wu Shuang, understanding her duty, conceded and requested to be left alone to mourn her master.
Luo Yunsong and Sun Sanxuan arrived at the Mound-digging headquarters, where Wu Shuang immediately confronted Luo Yunsong, ordering him out and attacking him without a word. Ding Yunqi intervened to protect Luo Yunsong. During the struggle, Wu Shuang noticed a distinctive lotus mark on Luo Yunsong's chest. Luo Yunsong explained that all children in their family bore such a mark, men on the chest and women on the back of the neck.
Ding Yunqi then pointed out a similar mark on Wu Shuang's neck, leading to the shocking realization that Luo Yunsong and Wu Shuang were biological siblings. Luo Yunsong tried to help Wu Shuang recall her childhood, reciting a rhyme their mother taught them and mentioning a swing their father built, but Wu Shuang remembered nothing.
Overwhelmed, Wu Shuang initially rejected the revelation, declaring the Mound-digging Sect her true home and stating that she was an orphan, even threatening to kill Luo Yunsong and then herself to atone to their parents. However, the dramatic revelation was interrupted by Sun Sanxuan, who, after secretly examining Zhou Qiuhai's body, declared that Tian Long was the true killer.
Hua Xingchen, still insisting he saw Luo Yunsong, was countered by Luo Yunsong's explanation that Tian Long had led them to Zhou Qiuhai's Zen room, where Zhou Qiuhai was already dead. Luo Yunsong then recounted how Wu Yutian, disguised as Tian Long, tried to steal their soul pursuit order and committed suicide by poison. They faked Wu Yutian's death, successfully luring the real Tian Long, who pursued Wu Yutian to the Mound-digging headquarters and ultimately into Zhou Qiuhai's Zen room.
Luo Yunsong further elaborated that there were no signs of a struggle in the room, and Tian Long mysteriously disappeared. Hua Xingchen then remembered that after the Gold-Touching brothers had attacked the headquarters, a group of masked men in black with formidable skills also launched an assault, claiming to be acting under "the Director's" orders. He noted their uncanny familiarity with the headquarters' layout and their ability to vanish without a trace, suggesting they were Tian Long's associates.
Ding Yunqi speculated that Tian Long might have killed Zhou Qiuhai to extract information about opening the Kunlun Mountains, believing Zhou Qiuhai, as an elder of the Penta-sect, would possess such knowledge, given that the Mound-digging Sect's soul pursuit order remained untouched. Wu Shuang, now accepting this new possibility, instructed Hua Xingchen to investigate how these mysterious individuals infiltrated the Mound-digging Sect. Luo Yunsong then sought a private conversation with Wu Shuang, asking about her well-being over the years.
He offered to take her back to their old yard, which he had meticulously restored to its original state, after she avenged Zhou Qiuhai, or to visit their father's tomb in Banshan, but Wu Shuang flatly refused both. She confronted him, demanding to know why he abandoned her and why he was seeking her out now after all these years.
Luo Yunsong explained the harrowing events of that day, where he could only flee with the infant Chu Fengling, returning later to find their home burned to ashes and Wu Shuang gone. He had searched for her, despite the low probability of her survival. He revealed that as children of the Gold-Touching Sect leader, who had broken the rules by having offspring, they were outcasts, forced to live as vagrants, and Chu Fengling had almost died from illness.
He considered her adoption by the Mound-digging Sect a blessing, sparing her a life of hardship. He offered to make amends, but Wu Shuang refused, asserting she had found her own family and no longer needed a brother, even expressing a wish that they were never siblings. When he asked to see her lotus mark, she replied she wished she never had it and told him to leave. Ding Yunqi returned to find Wu Shuang still wrestling with her emotions.
She admitted that while her rational mind understood Luo Yunsong's difficult choice as a child, her heart could not accept the abandonment, having spent her life feeling like a "loser" and constantly striving to prove her worth. Ding Yunqi reassured her of her value and his unwavering support as her husband, her family. He respected her need for time to process everything and urged her to rest, anticipating that more challenges lay ahead.
Back at his residence, Luo Yunsong was visibly distraught, having been drinking heavily. He confided in Sun Sanxuan about the difficult reunion with Wu Shuang. He then told Chu Fengling that he had found their older sister, Wu Shuang. Chu Fengling was shocked and asked why Wu Shuang wouldn't accept them.
Luo Yunsong explained that Wu Shuang blamed him for abandoning her, but he understood her pain, noting that Chu Fengling had always had family, while Wu Shuang, adopted by Zhou Qiuhai, was now grieving the loss of her only parental figure. Chu Fengling reacted with fury, accusing Luo Yunsong of favoring Wu Shuang and betraying her by making Wu Shuang more important in his heart.
She angrily accused Wu Shuang of stealing Ding Yunqi and now trying to take her brother, vehemently refusing to acknowledge Wu Shuang as her sister. In a moment of uncontrolled anger, Luo Yunsong slapped Chu Fengling. Heartbroken and enraged, Chu Fengling ran out into the rain. He Biao followed her, and when she calmed down, she confronted him, demanding he choose between her and Luo Yunsong.
He Biao chose Luo Yunsong, but offered his life for her, a compromise Chu Fengling rejected, declaring she would accept nothing less than being the undisputed first in anyone's affections. Later, San Jin informed Ding Yunqi about the altercation between Luo Yunsong and Chu Fengling, including the slap and Chu Fengling's subsequent disappearance. Ding Yunqi found Luo Yunsong and Sun Sanxuan drinking.
Luo Yunsong then shared another crucial piece of information with Ding Yunqi: Jiutian was alive and secretly working for Her Ladyship, maintaining a clandestine connection with Chu Fengling, implying a larger scheme by Commander Hu. Acknowledging Chu Fengling's extreme behavior, Ding Yunqi suggested she needed to leave for her own safety, as she would be caught in the crossfire between them and Her Ladyship, and her involvement might compromise their actions. Luo Yunsong agreed, admitting that both his sisters currently refused to see him, leaving Ding Yunqi as the only one who could talk to Chu Fengling.
