Lighter&Princess Episode 29 Recap
> Lighter&Princess Recap
The next morning, Zhu Yun woke up and found Li Xun asleep on the sofa. She leaned in to look at him and recalled the times she used to watch him like this in the past. Li Xun suddenly woke up, startled, and screamed in pain from a stiff neck. Zhu Yun rushed over to check on him. Just then, Guo Shijie and Zhao Teng arrived at work and thought something had happened between the two.
The more Zhu Yun tried to explain, the less convincing it sounded. Li Xun, on the other hand, didn’t even bother to explain. Jili Company continued to attack Invincible Warrior through advertising, dominating front-page headlines. The gameplay was nearly identical but less refined, and they were sparing no expense in an attempt to crush Invincible Warrior.
Zhu Yun saw Dong Siyang selling his car and learned that he was trying to keep the company afloat, but it might not last much longer. Zhu Yun hurried to find Li Xun, hoping for some strategy to save the company, but Li Xun was chatting with two little girls, infuriating Zhu Yun. She left immediately and returned his shirt. Watching her walk away, Li Xun didn’t look worried at all and even smiled.
Everyone at Wo Xin Fei Yang started packing up, preparing to disband—especially Zhang Fang. Unexpectedly, Dong Siyang showed up with a bag of money, claiming he wanted to do something big. The first step was team building. Driving a van with a broken window, he took everyone to a countryside restaurant. Along the way, Li Xun fell asleep. Afraid he’d catch a cold, Zhu Yun tried hard to shut the window and even blocked the gap with her body.
Li Xun, pretending to sleep, saw it all. Dong Siyang gathered everyone for drinks. The more Li Xun stopped Zhu Yun from drinking, the more she insisted. Dong Siyang talked about his past—once working at a machinery factory, going to jail for a fight over a friend, then deciding to start an internet company. Zhao Teng also shared his feelings, saying he had been in the industry for over ten years trying to make a great game.
Just as they had some results, Jili Company came after them. They couldn’t figure out what they had done wrong. Li Xun left and returned to his residence. Zhu Yun then revealed the truth about Jili Company—it was originally Li Xun’s company, which someone else had taken. Even if Invincible Warrior failed, they would still work on other projects. Zhu Yun solemnly apologized to Dong Siyang for hiding so much, but Dong Siyang said he had known all along.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have let someone without a résumé into the company. When Zhu Yun went to find Li Xun, she saw a photo on the floor—it was the one she had torn up on the rooftop. She remembered what Dong Siyang had said: when Li Xun came to him, he said Zhu Yun could be silly sometimes but was persistent and capable. Zhu Yun found Li Xun soaking in the hot spring and asked why he had that photo.
Li Xun stubbornly denied everything. Zhu Yun couldn’t help but laugh, saying he was just like how he used to be in school. She only wanted to know if he had ever thought of her. Zhu Yun knew all of Li Xun’s focus was on the company. No one had brought up their past, but that didn’t mean it hadn’t happened.
Li Xun insisted the past was behind him, but as he left, he still reminded Zhu Yun not to soak in the hot spring after drinking too much—if she drowned, no one would save her. The next morning, Zhu Yun brought Li Xun breakfast and talked about her fear of Fang Zhijing. Before, it was because of Xiaoyan. Now, it was because of Li Xun. Every time Fang Zhijing bullied someone she cared about, she could only stand by helplessly.
She blamed herself—if she hadn’t dragged Li Xun into that competition, they wouldn’t have provoked Fang Zhijing, wouldn’t have harmed Li Xun, and Li Lan wouldn’t have died. But Li Xun didn’t care and didn’t want Zhu Yun to dwell on it. He also told her that while she feared Fang Zhijing, Fang Zhijing feared them too. The more Fang Zhijing tried to crush them, the more he gave them opportunities.
