After leaving the company, Zhu Yun told Tian Xiuzhu that it was Gao Jianhong who tricked Li Xun out of his company. She planned to stay behind and asked Tian Xiuzhu to go back alone and deal with her parents. Tian Xiuzhu thought she was walking into the fire but still agreed to help.

He called Liu Ailin and lied, saying that a friend had returned from abroad and he was taking Zhu Yun to meet him, which would delay her by two days. Zhu Yun was very grateful to Tian Xiuzhu. Then she and Ren Di went together to the tech exhibition and talent fair to look for Li Xun. At the fair, Zhu Yun saw two college students promoting their new project, a part-time job app called "Xiao Jian.

" When they heard Zhu Yun was a programmer, they actively sought her advice, and she gave them some suggestions. While Fang Zhijing was confidently giving a promotional speech on stage, he noticed Li Xun entering from the door and sitting directly next to Gao Jianhong. To provoke Li Xun further, Gao Jianhong mentioned that Zhu Yun had come to see him, still as foolish as before, always defending Li Xun. However, she had one condition: Li Xun must be hired with her. Programmer Zhao Teng greatly admired Zhu Yun’s ability and felt that hiring both would be a huge win. Director Gao agreed to hire Li Xun but said Zhu Yun had to pay his salary, which she accepted on the spot. When Zhu Yun left, Li Xun was waiting downstairs.

He warned her to stay away from him, but Zhu Yun said Jili wasn’t only his—it was hers too, and she had the right to take it back. Li Xun retorted that she should take her pretty boy and that resume as far away as possible, but Zhu Yun ignored his provocation and firmly declared she wasn’t leaving. The next morning, Zhu Yun got ready for work. Just as she stepped downstairs, a chauffeured car was already waiting for her. Along the way, she found it strange that such a nice car would do rides for hire, but the driver said he wasn’t doing it for money—only for fun.
