Early in the morning, Xu Lina came to find Li Xun but was stopped by Gao Jianhong downstairs, who lied that Li Xun was still sleeping and didn’t like being disturbed. He even offered to accompany Xu Lina shopping. While shopping, Xu Lina picked out a couple’s toothbrush and bought it herself. Gao Jianhong was very happy, thinking it was a gift for him—only to later find it in Li Xun’s cabinet, which made him feel even worse.

Zhu Yun had another unexpected encounter with Fang Zhijing, who asked for her contact information. Zhu Yun lied that she hadn’t brought her phone and clearly didn’t want any contact with him. Gao Jianhong accidentally saw Fang Zhijing meeting with a sponsor in private and giving up 30% of the patent fee in exchange for a special award. Gao Jianhong secretly recorded it all.

Xu Lina also saw Fang Zhijing and the sponsor meeting and mocked him for only using dirty tricks. Fang Zhijing shot back that Xu Lina had only gotten in through connections and had no right to criticize him. Zhu Yun chased after Fang Zhijing and asked whether what Xu Lina said was true. Fang Zhijing mocked Zhu Yun for still being as naïve as ever.

He knew that Li Xun and Zhu Yun were in the competition to beat him, but he wouldn’t give them the chance. Zhu Yun ridiculed Fang Zhijing for being afraid of facing Li Xun, resorting to backdoor deals with sponsors. But Fang Zhijing didn’t care at all. That night, Zhu Yun was gloomy and locked herself in a dark room. Seeing her like that, Li Xun felt uncomfortable inside.

Gao Jianhong had clearly caught Fang Zhijing red-handed but chose not to reveal the recording. He wanted to see what other moves Li Xun, the “all-powerful,” still had. Even if one road was blocked, Li Xun always found countless others. Gao Jianhong deleted the video. As expected, Li Xun’s team won first prize. Gao Jianhong accepted the award on stage, while Li Xun still hadn’t shown up.

After the special award was announced, Fang Zhijing gave a smug speech, claiming his win was aboveboard and dismissing others’ accusations as slander. Then Li Xun appeared, mocking Fang Zhijing’s shoddy work as a disgrace to the competition’s awards. He offered to crack Fang Zhijing’s encrypted program. With all eyes on him, Fang Zhijing had no choice but to agree—if Li Xun could crack it, he’d waive all patent fees.

Upon receiving the encrypted files via USB, Li Xun proudly declared he had three decryption methods within one minute. He even pulled out Fang Zhijing’s private photos with other women, making Fang Zhijing’s girlfriend in the audience visibly uncomfortable. Fang Zhijing hurriedly deleted the photos, but Li Xun recovered them instantly and ridiculed him for not even deleting files properly. The crowd erupted in cheers—and there was still time left on the clock.

With five seconds remaining, Li Xun gave Fang Zhijing one last chance and then flawlessly demonstrated a physical-level crack. Then he played the video from the coffee shop, exposing the conversation between Fang Zhijing and the sponsor. The host warned Li Xun that he might be penalized for breaking the rules, and asked if it was worth it. Li Xun said it was—because he did it for love—and looked straight at Zhu Yun. The audience erupted in cheers.

Xu Lina loudly confessed her feelings for Li Xun, while Gao Jianhong walked off the stage. The host admired Li Xun—he had upheld fairness, though he did break the rules, and might face consequences. Li Xun didn’t care. The host offered him a project opportunity in Sanya, but Li Xun said he’d consider it depending on his schedule. Sitting beside him, Zhu Yun had never been happier. She asked what kind of girl Li Xun would call a “princess. ” Li Xun replied that she needed beautiful eyes and a spirit willing to risk everything.
