The next day, Zhu Yun took Li Xun to the infirmary for physical therapy. Li Xun suddenly realized his lighter was missing. Zhu Yun quickly helped him look for it but found nothing. She left her phone number with the cleaning staff, hoping they would call her if they found it. After Li Xun finished his therapy and came out, he was disappointed the lighter was still missing, but he comforted the guilt-ridden Zhu Yun, saying it wasn’t her fault.

Zhu Yun blamed herself for forcing Li Xun to play volleyball, nearly costing him his life. At that moment, her phone rang — the lighter had been found. It was a keepsake from Li Xun's father and held special meaning for him. However, the lighter was damaged, and Zhu Yun was anxious to help him repair it.

Li Xun and Gao Jianhong got into an argument due to differing opinions, but Gao Jianhong was suppressed by Li Xun's dominance, although he still felt unconvinced. That evening, Li Xun had dinner with Zhu Yun. Zhu Yun proposed to accompany him to submit the Blue Crown project and also reminded him to focus on team building, not just shine alone. She suggested preparing tasks for the others to avoid emotional fallout.

Li Xun joked that Zhu Yun sounded like a political commissar but agreed with her suggestion. When Fang Shumiao had dinner with Zhu Yun, they talked about the base and how it was becoming more established, though it now felt like a family business. Gao Jianhong mentioned he was planning to leave the base, thinking that without him dragging things down, Li Xun might achieve more. Zhu Yun didn’t respond then, but she later sought out Gao Jianhong in private.

Gao Jianhong joked that Zhu Yun always came to persuade him and really lived up to her "political commissar" title. He admitted he admired Li Xun now and had to acknowledge his strength. Last time he left, it was Li Xun who convinced him to return and encouraged him to work on something truly his own. But later, Li Xun gave Blue Crown to Zhang Xiaobei for Zhu Yun’s sake, completely disregarding his feelings.

Gao Jianhong said he wanted to create something that truly belonged to him and be in control. Li Xun finished coding the program but forgot to include the logo on the login page — and he didn’t know how to design it. Zhu Yun suggested they visit an art exhibition for inspiration. Li Xun didn’t agree immediately, but the next morning he called Zhu Yun to go to the exhibit together.

The exhibit was painted by Zhu Yun’s childhood friend, Tian Xiuzhu. Zhu Yun praised her friend’s talent, calling him a real genius. Li Xun grew jealous, insisting he was the real genius. The two bickered at the exhibit, just as Tian Xiuzhu arrived and saw them, but he didn’t come over to greet them. As they left the exhibit and waited for a ride in the cold, Li Xun told Zhu Yun to wait inside while he waited outside.

Seeing Li Xun shivering through the window, Zhu Yun couldn’t help but laugh. In the end, she chose to wait with him in the cold. With school on holiday, Zhu Yun called Liu Ailin and lied that she needed to help Fang Shumiao with Party School matters and wanted to see the art exhibit.

Liu Ailin agreed, making Zhu Yun very happy — she was used to her mother catching her in every lie, so this time felt like a win. However, Liu Ailin grew more suspicious the more she thought about it, worried that Zhu Yun was staying because of Li Xun. She urged Zhu Yun's father to visit the school the next day.

Liu Ailin called Zhu Yun, saying she had dinner plans with Tian Xiuzhu that night and asked her to come home. She also told Zhu Yun that her father was already near campus for a meeting and could give her a ride. At that moment, her father had already arrived at the base and chatted briefly with Li Xun. He noticed Li Xun was still working despite having a cold. Then Zhu Yun returned with medicine.

Realizing the situation, Zhu Yun's father said nothing but deliberately stepped out to give them privacy. Zhu Yun gave the medicine to Li Xun and urged him to take care. Li Xun, reluctant to part, told her to message him once she got home.
