At Xuanyuan Temple, Han Yunxi was surprised to discover that Baili Mingxiang, not Long Feiye, had written the letter luring her there, having masterfully mimicked his handwriting. Meanwhile, Ning Jing, dressed in Han Yunxi's clothes, was in the palace, where she encountered Long Feiye, who was surprised to see her in Han Yunxi's attire.

Baili Mingxiang revealed her true intentions to Han Yunxi, confessing to killing the Poison Master and explaining that the antidote for the gu poison required the heart's blood of a Poison Tribe member, a sacrifice only Han Yunxi could make, costing her life. As Baili Mingxiang prepared to take Han Yunxi's heart's blood, Eunuch Li arrived, intending to kill Han Yunxi to ensure Long Feiye's demise.

Unexpectedly, Baili Mingxiang, driven by her love for Long Feiye, shielded Han Yunxi from Eunuch Li's fatal blow, taking the knife herself. In her dying moments, she implored Han Yunxi to save Long Feiye. Just then, Long Feiye burst in, protecting Han Yunxi from poisoned darts, and Eunuch Li and his followers fled. Baili Mingxiang died in Long Feiye's arms.

General Baili arrived, heartbroken to find his daughter's lifeless body, and Long Feiye expressed regret for his failure to handle the situation better. Han Yunxi comforted him. Tang Li confronted Ning Jing, blaming her for the chaotic events. Feeling hated by Tang Li, Ning Jing decided to leave for Yunkong College. Later, Han Yunxi, knowing the antidote secret Baili Mingxiang had revealed, asked Long Feiye if he truly no longer wanted her.

Long Feiye embraced her tightly, vowing that he would sooner abandon the empire than abandon her. To further solidify their bond, Long Feiye recreated Herb-Ghost Valley at Meihai for Han Yunxi, with Zhu Yu's help. Han Yunxi was overjoyed. Later, Gu Beiyue visited Han Yunxi at Meihai. Shortly after, Gu Qishao was also brought to this new Herb-Ghost Valley by Zhu Yu, gazing at the replicated scenery with nostalgia.

Meanwhile, a servant informed Tang Li that Ning Jing had left for Yunkong College. He then received a wedding invitation from Ning Jing, announcing her marriage to Xie Lilu. Tang Li confided in Gu Beiyue, who advised him to cherish the present.

On the wedding day, at Zuiyun Restaurant, as Ning Jing and Xie Lilu were about to complete their vows, Tang Li burst in, declaring that Ning Jing loved him and that he loved her too, insisting she could not marry anyone else. Ning Jing's father rebuked Tang Li, and as Tang Li was being forcibly removed, Ning Jing spoke up, acknowledging that Tang Li's interruption had scared away her groom. Seizing the opportunity, Tang Li offered to marry her himself.

The ceremony proceeded with Tang Li as the groom, and they completed their vows. Later, Tang Li, expressed his bewilderment and the feeling that he had been subtly manipulated into marriage and Ning Jing confirmed his suspicions with a smile. In Ningshuang Hall, Long Feiye teased Han Yunxi about her past desire to "increase her status by way of a child," prompting her to playfully flee.

Later, at Meihai, Gu Beiyue visited Han Yunxi, who expressed her contentment and thanked him for his help. Han Yunxi then posed a question to Gu Beiyue. Subsequently, Gu Qishao was brought to this recreated Herb-Ghost Valley by Zhu Yu.
