Consort Dowager Yi expressed her happiness about Han Yunxi and Long Feiye going to the market, ostensibly to buy things for her. She was deeply touched, feeling blessed by Han Yunxi's filial devotion, and quietly instructed Mammy Gui to follow them to see what they might want so she could surprise them with gifts. Meanwhile, Long Feiye and Han Yunxi were on their way to a temple to honor his late parents.

Long Feiye confessed to Han Yunxi his deep guilt over using Consort Dowager Yi, especially since she treated him so well. He admitted he couldn't bear to tell her the truth: that the real Long Feiye had tragically died. He vowed to continue living as Long Feiye, ensuring to fulfill his filial duties to Consort Dowager Yi as long as he lived.

Han Yunxi assured him that the bond between them was real, regardless of blood, and that the true Long Feiye would surely be grateful for his devotion. They decided to buy something to cheer her up. Elsewhere, Baili Mingxiang was surprised to learn that Long Feiye and Han Yunxi had already gone to the temple without her, as she traditionally joined Long Feiye and Tang Li for the ancestral worship.

Tang Li, who had just returned from paying his respects, admitted that while he initially disliked Han Yunxi, he now thought "she's not that bad" after witnessing her risk her life to save Long Feiye. This admission further angered Baili Mingxiang, who retorted that she too had risked her life for him.

Tang Li then tried to explain that affection couldn't be forced, much like Ning Jing's unrequited pursuit of him, but Baili Mingxiang insisted her situation was different from Ning Jing's and her relationship with Long Feiye was unlike Tang Li's. At the temple, Long Feiye solemnly introduced Han Yunxi, his consort and their daughter-in-law, to his late parents. He vowed to eventually pacify all conflicts and bring peace to the common people.

Han Yunxi also pledged to cure Long Feiye's gu poison, care for him, and be a devoted wife. Baili Mingxiang then forcefully attempted to enter the temple, insisting on her right to be there as she had always accompanied Long Feiye for the worship. Despite the guard's protests, Xifeng allowed her entry. Baili Mingxiang tearfully expressed her feelings of worthlessness now that Long Feiye had found the Poison Tribe, making her Beauty Blood seemingly unnecessary.

Long Feiye and Han Yunxi reassured her they would still find a cure for her Beauty Blood poison, explaining that Long Feiye understood the pain of gu poison and wouldn't wish it upon her. Baili Mingxiang, however, claimed that without Beauty Blood, she would be useless to him and suffer even more. Long Feiye gently reminded her that he would always see her as a sister, regardless of the Beauty Blood.

Heartbroken by being called "sister," Baili Mingxiang left in tears. Han Yunxi, understanding Long Feiye's guilt and Baili Mingxiang's pain, resolved to find an antidote for her. Shortly after, Consort Dowager Yi arrived at the temple, her suspicions aroused after hearing Long Feiye and Han Yunxi had bought candles and gone there. She was startled to see the name "Xuanyuan" written on an unburnt paper. Back at the palace, the wife of the Xiqiu envoy met with Chu Qingge.

Chu Qingge was initially unfamiliar with her, but the envoy's wife quickly revealed herself to be an agent of Beili's Crown Prince, Jun Yizheng. She reminded Chu Qingge of Xiqiu's precarious situation and her true mission in Tianning, emphasizing that Chu Qingge should not forget her family's vengeance. The envoy's wife explained that Emperor Tianhui's progress in creating gu-abetted men necessitated further weakening of Tianning's influence and continued disruption of its court, as current efforts were proving insufficient.

Jun Yizheng had ordered Chu Qingge to find a way to poison Long Tianmo, making him a catalyst to unleash chaos in Tianning. Chu Qingge agreed, stating she needed two specific drugs that were harmless when separated but fatal when combined. She knew that Herb-Ghost Valley possessed such compounds and instructed the envoy's wife to convey her request there. Gu Qishao was later informed of Chu Qingge's request for these two fatal poisons, anticipating further turmoil within the palace.

Han Yunxi presented Consort Dowager Yi with a new swan neck face washing brush, a gift she and Long Feiye had prepared, noting its jade body and beneficial properties. Consort Dowager Yi graciously accepted the thoughtful present, though harboring doubts inwardly. She then asked Han Yunxi to supervise the tidying of her room before excusing herself to visit Baili Mingxiang, bringing her some cakes.

In Baili Mingxiang's room, Consort Dowager Yi acknowledged Baili Mingxiang's feelings for Long Feiye, admitting she once hoped they would marry. However, she now advised Baili Mingxiang to relinquish that hope, explaining that Long Feiye and Han Yunxi were deeply in love, and any attempt to join them would be profoundly unfair to Baili Mingxiang and cause immense suffering, drawing on her own past marital sorrows.

She suggested Baili Mingxiang seek a man who would truly cherish her and even offered to help her find a suitable match upon her return from Buddhist study. Baili Mingxiang, appearing weary, asked to rest. After Consort Dowager Yi departed, Baili Mingxiang expressed her frustration that even her aunt no longer supported her relationship with Long Feiye, questioning why Han Yunxi commanded such universal approval.

She then reaffirmed her resolve to fully develop her Beauty Blood and cure Long Feiye's gu poison, believing that by doing so, she would prove who truly loved him. The following day, as Consort Dowager Yi prepared to leave the Prince Qin's manor for a period of Buddhist study, she urged Long Feiye and Han Yunxi to work on having children, expressing her hope for good news upon her return.

Han Yunxi, flustered by the suggestion, quickly excused herself to make some herbs. Consort Dowager Yi then proceeded to the Imperial Palace to meet Emperor Tianhui. She definitively confirmed Prince Qin's identity to him, dismissing any lingering rumors and asserting that Long Feiye was undeniably her and the late emperor's son, a blessing from heaven.

She then made a special request to Emperor Tianhui, asking him, as Long Feiye's "blood brother," to look after him, citing Long Feiye's stubborn and socially inept nature. Emperor Tianhui readily agreed. After Consort Dowager Yi departed, Emperor Tianhui discussed with the Empress Dowager how Consort Dowager Yi still seemed oblivious to the questions surrounding Long Feiye's true identity.

The Empress Dowager remarked on Han Yunxi's cunning, noting that while Han Yunxi's usefulness diminished with the death of Lady Tianxin, she had unexpectedly won Long Feiye's heart. They concluded that Han Yunxi's earlier report about Long Feiye's Wind Tribe birthmark must have been fabricated, as they had no legitimate grounds to verify it without alarming Prince Qin. They agreed they needed to find another approach.

Meanwhile, Long Feiye was informed by his subordinate that the Poison Tribe had been located at the Sinkhole, and that the attackers who assaulted Solitude Pavilion were from Beili. Long Feiye ordered an investigation into the identity of these black-clad men and their true intentions in Tianning. Later, Zhuyu arrived at Prince Qin's manor to invite Han Yunxi to Herb-Ghost Valley, stating that Gu Qishao had developed a new love flower poison he believed she would find interesting.

Han Yunxi agreed to go, asserting her right to meet friends as a married woman, not a prisoner. Tang Li, observing this, questioned Long Feiye about his apparent calm, calling him "generous" and a "cold stone" for allowing his "rival" to "fight for his wife." Long Feiye simply responded that he trusted Han Yunxi.

At Herb-Ghost Valley, Gu Qishao showed Han Yunxi the love flower poison, noting its unusual color and toxicity, and requested her assistance in researching it as a form of reciprocation for the herbs she had taken from his valley. Han Yunxi observed Gu Qishao's unwell appearance, prompting him to admit he had caught a cold and neglected himself due to his busy schedule.

She chided him for overlooking his own health despite being surrounded by a vast array of medicinal herbs. Gu Qishao then invited Han Yunxi to share some new plum wine brewed by Zhuyu. As they drank, Han Yunxi noticed his sadness and inquired about it. Gu Qishao confessed to being troubled by a "love problem."

He revealed he loved a girl who possessed a poison he desperately desired, but he couldn't acquire it through conventional means and didn't want to exploit her by having her "secretly bring it out." Han Yunxi offered to help if she had the poison but he refused to disclose the girl's identity or the specific poison. Han Yunxi encouraged him to boldly pursue the girl, noting his charm and talent. Gu Qishao then feigned intoxication, prompting Han Yunxi to leave.

Once she was gone, Gu Qishao, completely sober, noted that Han Yunxi had not taken the medicine he had given her for "madness," concluding that her madness, a symptom of the Poison Tribe, had been cured. Zhuyu asked Gu Qishao if he believed Long Feiye would find the Poison Tribe.

Gu Qishao speculated that "Poison Girl" (Han Yunxi) would not allow Long Feiye to face the Poison Tribe alone, and that if she were absent from Prince Qin's manor for several days, it would likely be because she was helping Long Feiye search for them. Zhuyu agreed it was a plausible strategy. Baili Mingxiang secretly entered Long Feiye's study and, while he was away, discovered where he kept the Poison Scripture and took it.

Using candlelight, she uncovered a hidden map within its pages. The following day, Baili Mingxiang presented her father's token to Bai Xiaochuan, requesting his secret assistance in capturing someone. Bai Xiaochuan, loyal to her father, pledged his full cooperation without questioning the target. They then led a contingent of men to the Sinkhole. As Bai Xiaochuan prepared to deal with potential ambushes, Baili Mingxiang covertly slipped into the Sinkhole with the map. However, she was immediately knocked unconscious, and Gu Beiyue appeared, taking the map from her.
