Long Feiye chose to stay the night at Han Yunxi's maiden house. He teased her, suggesting she might be afraid of him, to which Han Yunxi retorted that she wasn't, and even questioned his masculinity. Though she claimed not to be sleepy, Han Yunxi eventually drifted off, her sleeping posture causing her to sprawl onto Long Feiye, making him gasp slightly. Despite this, he gently allowed her to sleep undisturbed.

The next morning, Han Yunxi woke up to find herself lying on Long Feiye, startling them both awake. After preparing for the day, she encountered Third Aunt in the courtyard, and they had some private girl talk. Third Aunt expressed her concern for Han Yunxi's status within Prince Qin's Mansion, especially since Long Feiye seemed to care for her.

She pressed Han Yunxi about using the fertility amulet she had given her, emphasizing the importance of a child for a woman's position, citing the common saying "a mother's status is dependent on her child." While discussing this, Third Aunt mentioned the date, which made Han Yunxi realize she had forgotten her ten-day appointment with Gu Qishao.

Filled with guilt, she rushed to the noodle stall, where the owner confirmed that Gu Qishao had waited for her all day and night. Long Feiye patiently waited for Han Yunxi outside her family mansion for a long time. Upon her return, Han Yunxi profusely apologized for her tardiness, explaining she had forgotten her meeting with a friend.

Long Feiye inquired about this "important friend," and Han Yunxi confessed that her sudden happiness at his accompanying her home had made her forget everything else. To make amends, Han Yunxi offered to concoct some nourishing pills for him. However, she then remembered the lack of a private pharmacy in Prince Qin's Mansion, an issue that had caused her trouble with Consort Dowager Yi before.

Long Feiye, finding it insignificant, readily promised to arrange a dedicated pharmacy for her upon their return to the mansion. Han Yunxi was thrilled, never having had her own pharmacy before, and suggested they go together to purchase herbs that very afternoon. Concurrently, Long Feiye and Han Yunxi returned to Prince Qin's Mansion and were greeted by a smiling Baili Mingxiang standing beside Consort Dowager Yi, with Tang Li also present.

Baili Mingxiang greeted Long Feiye and Consort Dowager Yi with warm embraces, explaining she had come because she missed them and didn't want to trouble Long Feiye, who was busy. Consort Dowager Yi lovingly chided her for coming alone. Tang Li, equally enthusiastic, welcomed Mingxiang, calling her his brother's childhood sweetheart and informing Han Yunxi that Mingxiang had been Consort Dowager Yi's initial choice for Long Feiye's wife.

Han Yunxi, feeling her territory invaded, retorted that she was the current Princess Consort Qin. Meanwhile, Crown Prince Tianmo, having received reliable intelligence, secretly sought out Gu Qishao at Herb-Ghost Valley. He informed Gu Qishao that Second Prince Long Tianqing intended to harm Consort Qing, seeking advice on how to eliminate the Second Prince and avenge his maternal uncle. Gu Qishao, however, advised the Crown Prince against direct action.

Instead, he proposed a strategy to leverage this situation to win Consort Qing's favor, pointing out her current imperial favor and the mutual benefits of such an alliance given the Crown Prince's future succession. Following this, Crown Prince Tianmo visited Princess Changbing in Forget-Worry Palace, ostensibly to check on her recovery.

He then used Princess Changbing as a conduit to present Consort Qing with a box of unique Xiqiu folk items, explaining their intricate design was meant to help ease her homesickness and pass the time. Consort Qing expressed her gratitude through Princess Changbing and invited her to stay for lunch. Back at Herb-Ghost Valley, Gu Qishao was in a foul mood, ordering Zhuyu to remove White-Ear from his room, stating he no longer liked the rabbit.

Zhuyu, interpreting his words literally, offered to cook the rabbit for dinner, a suggestion Gu Qishao indifferently accepted. Bai Su, however, sensed the underlying cause of Gu Qishao's anger, surmising it was due to Princess Consort Qin. She intervened, stopping Zhuyu from harming White-Ear, believing that Gu Qishao's feelings for Han Yunxi were not as simple as they appeared. Gu Qishao, having instructed his subordinates to decline all visitors, then left, his whereabouts unknown.

Back at Prince Qin's Mansion, General Baili received an urgent message from his butler: his daughter, Baili Mingxiang, had secretly made her way to Prince Qin's Mansion using his badge, despite his specific instructions for her to study elsewhere.

The General was greatly concerned about the political implications of her unexpected arrival, fearing that if His Majesty discovered her presence at Prince Qin's Mansion, it could lead to unwanted suspicions about Prince Qin's relationship with the northern territories and potentially jeopardize Prince Qin's larger plans. The butler assured him that Mingxiang had entered discreetly, but the General remained uneasy, knowing Prince Qin had just recently married. Later, Long Feiye visited Baili Mingxiang in her room.

She explained that the gu-possessed person he had sent to her had suddenly died, and she had come in person out of concern for his health, fearing that the news might leak. Long Feiye expressed concern for her own delicate health, noting she should not have traveled. Mingxiang explained that since he had given the gu-controlling medicine to the boy, she worried for his well-being.

She insisted on being the one to cure his "gu poison" with "beauty blood," which would be ready in two months. Long Feiye suggested Han Yunxi's poison skills were excellent and she could help. However, Mingxiang adamantly refused, declaring that she had suffered for years to prepare the "beauty blood" for him and and that her life would be meaningless if she couldn't cure him.

She became agitated, on the verge of a relapse, and pleaded with him to promise to let her cure him. Unbeknownst to them, Han Yunxi had approached the room and witnessed this intimate and emotional exchange, leaving her visibly upset. The next morning, Ning Jing found a dispirited Han Yunxi still in bed. She chided Han Yunxi for her lack of drive against the "enemy" Baili Mingxiang, arguing that Han Yunxi, as the Princess Consort, should not sit idly by.

Ning Jing, boasting of her wealthy father's abundant jewelry, convinced Han Yunxi that she was far prettier than Mingxiang and only needed a little effort in dressing up to outshine her. She even mentioned preparing for "seduction needs" for Tang Li, though Han Yunxi misunderstood her meaning. Ning Jing then enthusiastically gave Han Yunxi a makeover. Later, at breakfast, Baili Mingxiang initially addressed Han Yunxi as "Miss Han."

Ning Jing immediately corrected her, asserting Han Yunxi's title as Princess Consort Qin and suggesting that Mingxiang, who called Long Feiye "brother," should address Han Yunxi as "sister-in-law." Tang Li interjected, calling Ning Jing "shameless" and claiming his brother had not acknowledged Han Yunxi, but Han Yunxi firmly stated that she was still the consort regardless. Ning Jing then physically dragged Tang Li away, claiming she needed him to help reply to a letter from her father.

Mingxiang then subtly expressed her "concern" over Tang Li and Ning Jing's seemingly forced relationship, implying it would lead to unhappiness. Han Yunxi then reminded Long Feiye of their plan to buy herbs together, but Long Feiye, influenced by Mingxiang's presence and apparent need for his attention, did not accompany her. Feeling neglected, Han Yunxi struggled with her jealousy, torn between her assigned "purpose" in the marriage and her genuine feelings. She ultimately decided to seek out Gu Qishao.

At Herb-Ghost Valley, Han Yunxi was initially stopped by guards who invoked the valley's strict rule: "The uninvited shall be killed." However, Gu Qishao intervened, scolding his guards and welcoming Han Yunxi. Han Yunxi apologized for missing their previous appointment, and Gu Qishao, feigning annoyance, demanded she make amends. Instead of gifts, he led her to the kitchen, revealing White-Ear, and asked her to cook for him. Han Yunxi, initially hesitant, agreed and even started a fire for him.

Bai Su and Zhuyu watched in astonishment as Gu Qishao, a man who had never set foot in a kitchen, helped Han Yunxi, a clear sign of her profound influence on him. They were secretly relieved they hadn't killed White-Ear. Han Yunxi playfully teased Gu Qishao for getting his face dirty, calling him a "noble young man who has never worked before."

She confessed that she often cooked, but never for Prince Qin, as his mansion had too many servants and people who disliked her, especially a newly arrived, annoying individual, which was why she had sought solace with him. Gu Qishao acknowledged that everyone in the capital knew Prince Qin and his Princess Consort Han Yunxi, and had heard of her transformation from having a "carbuncle" to becoming a "peerless beauty."

Han Yunxi and Gu Qishao shared a convivial meal and drinks in a pavilion. Han Yunxi praised the valley's abundance of herbs, calling it a "paradise on earth." Gu Qishao then showed her a uniquely shaped bottle designed for cleansing cream, its "swan's neck" inspired by her own transformation from an "ugly duckling" into a "swan." He believed it would sell well and promised to remember her if it did. They continued to drink, enjoying their pleasant conversation and shared understanding, Han Yunxi proving to be a surprisingly good drinker.
