Xiao Yu'er returned to the room. Tie Xinlan asked about her boots. Xiao Yu'er said he saw her soles were broken, so he took them out and threw them away. He had prepared a new pair of boots for her. Tie Xinlan immediately grew anxious upon hearing this. She told him to quickly retrieve the boots, saying that thing was hidden inside her boots, and she had nearly lost her life several times because of it.
Xiao Yu'er told her not to worry, wasn't it just a piece of paper? Tie Xinlan asked how he knew it was a piece of paper. Xiao Yu'er said it really was a piece of paper. Xiao Yu'er said since her illness was better, he would leave.
Tie Xinlan asked if he was serious. He said he was serious. He had saved her life before, and she had also given him the treasure map; they no longer owed each other anything. He soared out of the water, seized the opportunity, and struck Xiao Xiannu's acupoints.
She was unable to move and could only glare as they left. Xiao Yu'er and Tie Xinlan rode together on a horse, galloping across the grassland. Tie Xinlan said she hadn't expected him to fight so fiercely and fearlessly. Xiao Yu'er said he might be a bad guy, but he was certainly not a coward; no one should expect him to beg for mercy. Tie Xinlan smiled and said, "That's right, even if he's bad, he's still a man."
When they got tired from riding, they dismounted to rest. Xiao Yu'er built a fire and roasted chicken for her. Tie Xinlan asked if he knew why Xiao Xiannu had snatched her treasure map. The old man clasped his fists and knelt on one knee, introducing himself as Feng Qianli, the sect leader of Tianhong Sect, saying they were specifically here to welcome him.

Seeing that Qin Ziling was no match, Feng Baiyu suddenly appeared to help him against Hua Wuque. Hua Wuque wondered why she would help this sword thief. Feng Baiyu said he wasn't a thief; this sword was a token of their love that she had given him. Feng Baiyu asked him to help them. He asked if she was willing to betray Tianhong Sect for Qin Ziling.
Feng Baiyu said her father only had her as a daughter, and she would never betray him under any circumstances, nor could Qin Ziling abandon Quanshan Sect for her. Hua Wuque said, "Then you can only elope." Feng Baiyu said they had originally planned to do so, intending to fulfill their filial duties for the next two days and then leave three days later.
