Ye Qianyu was busy managing Guanmei Inn, addressing guest complaints about cold bathwater in Room 312, lack of sewing kits in Room 344, and a malfunctioning hairdryer in Room 356. Suddenly, Su Liyin rushed in to inform her that Shan Junhao was in trouble, a fact immediately corroborated by a news headline proclaiming the former Chairman of Senwell guilty of murder. Meanwhile, Shan Junhao and Mrs. Shan met with Ding Yuanxun, Shan Yaolong’s former assistant.
Ding Yuanxun revealed that he was the only one who knew the truth about the yacht incident and was confessing now because his conscience had tormented him for over 20 years. Mrs. Shan pressed him, asking why her husband would do such a thing. Ding Yuanxun explained that after the failure of Dongdao Finance, Shan Yaolong feared Xu Yifeng would hold Senwell back or even destroy it, stating that Shan Yaolong loved Senwell more than anything.
Shan Junhao found it hard to believe. Upon returning to Senwell, Shan Junhao was met by a barrage of reporters. He managed to enter the building through the garage, avoiding their questions. Inside, Zhang Minghan confronted Xu Ziqian, demanding to know why he had leaked such damaging news to the media without consultation, causing Senwell’s stock to plummet and many partners to terminate their agreements.
Xu Ziqian calmly stated that he had never promised Zhang Minghan anything and always acted on his own terms, never taking sides. Taichu, learning of Senwell’s predicament, returned to resume the Guanmei project. He met Shan Junhao, commending his composure in the face of adversity. Taichu expressed concern that Shan Junhao's personal issues might jeopardize the Guanmei project, potentially leading GQ to withdraw funds due to Senwell's breach of commercial reputation.
Shan Junhao assured him he would provide a proper explanation. Shan Junhao then returned to his office, where Xu Ziqian was waiting. Shan Junhao expressed regret, stating that if his father had made mistakes, he would take full responsibility. Xu Ziqian, however, was filled with a long-suppressed rage. He accused Shan Junhao's parents of feigning kindness for years, asserting that their care was a lie to conceal the truth. Shan Junhao insisted his parents had genuinely cared for Xu Ziqian.
Xu Ziqian retorted that the Shan family had no true heart, recounting how Shan Yaolong had betrayed and murdered his father, Xu Yifeng, and how Shan Junhao had repeatedly hurt and abandoned Yunyi. He vowed to make the Shan family pay for everything they owed him, his father, and Yunyi. Shan Junhao sincerely apologized and offered to do anything to make amends, still considering Xu Ziqian his best brother.
Xu Ziqian dismissed his words as an act and ordered him to leave, which Shan Junhao did, muttering another apology. Meanwhile, Ye Qianyu tried to call Shan Junhao numerous times. When he finally answered, she scolded him for not picking up, expressing her intense worry. Shan Junhao requested to see her. They met, and he confessed his insecurity, asking if she would still love him if he lost everything.
Qianyu light-heartedly reminded him that when she fell in love with Tonghao, he was not only penniless but also owed her 8,500 yuan. She encouraged him to smile more, reminding him that life is hard but happiness should not be forgotten. She promised to stay by his side no matter what. Shan Junhao transferred all of his and his mother’s shares in Senwell to Xu Ziqian as compensation, hoping to atone for Shan Yaolong's sins and preserve their fathers' legacy.
Mrs. Shan also affirmed that she had truly treated Xu Ziqian as her own son. However, Xu Ziqian remained unforgiving, stating that two lives could not be compensated by money. Shan Junhao then requested that the Guanmei project be continued, believing it would become a wonderful resort. Xu Ziqian lashed out, questioning why Shan Junhao was still thinking of Ye Qianyu when Yunyi was still missing, and declared that the matter was far from over.
Shan Junhao accepted the consequences, believing that taking responsibility would bring him peace, and reiterated his commitment to finding Yunyi. Soon after, Shan Junhao’s assistant informed him that Xu Ziqian’s lawyer had filed a complaint to pursue the yacht incident to the end and that Xu Ziqian had leaked the share transfer news to the media.
Simultaneously, the city court arrived at the Shan family home and froze and sealed all of their assets, addressing Shan Junhao's mother, Jiang Caiyue, and alleging Shan Yaolong's embezzlement of Xu Yifeng’s shares. Shan Junhao and Mrs. Shan were forced to leave their home, allowed to take only daily necessities. Shan Junhao apologized to Dawei for costing him his job at Senwell and gave all his remaining cash to the housekeeper as final wages and compensation before they departed.
Ye Qianyu learned from Su Liyin that Shan Junhao had been ousted from Senwell and his assets frozen, leaving him penniless. After failing to reach him by phone, she drove to his house, only to find he had already left. Dawei informed her he had gone to a hotel and sent her the address. Shan Junhao tried to check into a hotel with his mother, but his cards were all rejected.
To spare his mother worry, he lied that the hotel was fully booked, and they left. Later, at a convenience store, Shan Junhao attempted to buy water, but his cards were again rejected. He turned to leave, but Ye Qianyu appeared and paid for the water. Shan Junhao tried to walk away without acknowledging her, but Qianyu, disregarding traffic, ran after him.
She confronted him, scolding him for not answering her calls, for making her frantic with worry, and for hiding such significant news, which she had only discovered through the media. Shan Junhao insisted he could handle his own problems and didn't want to drag her into his difficulties or be pitied.
Qianyu reminded him that she had seen him at his lowest, dressed in shabby clothes, delivering goods and food with her, and he had been optimistic and faced problems head-on then. She accused him of escaping now, contradicting his previous promise not to leave her. Shan Junhao apologized, explaining it wasn't his intention. Qianyu then gently told him that in her heart, he was more than a prince, an angel like Tonghao, and reiterated that she would not leave him.
Deeply moved, Shan Junhao embraced her, accepting her presence and deciding to face all future challenges together. She urged him to come home with her to Guanmei Inn, which he readily agreed to.
