Shan Junhao decided to experience the life of Tonghao, wearing his clothes as Ye Qianyu guided him through Guanmei Fishing Village, sharing stories about Tonghao. Ye Qianyu described Tonghao as kind, smart, and always willing to help. He initially assisted her with deliveries, taking on all the strenuous tasks, and later began helping manage Guanmei Inn. He was meticulous, paying attention to details like napkin folding, tableware arrangement, and floor cleaning. Tonghao was warm to everyone, and everyone liked him.
He often spoke of Guanmei as his home, a place he wished to protect. Ye Qianyu realized this was Shan Junhao’s first, and likely last, time acknowledging Tonghao. She pleaded with him to embody Tonghao for just ten seconds. When he asked why, she embraced him tightly, saying she missed Tonghao dearly and never had the chance to properly say goodbye.
At that moment, Fan Yunyi and Xu Ziqian arrived at Guanmei and witnessed Shan Junhao and Ye Qianyu in a heartfelt embrace. Fan Yunyi fought the urge to get out of the car, stopping Xu Ziqian from confronting Shan Junhao, and drove away with a heavy heart. Shan Junhao pushed Ye Qianyu away, asserting that he was not Tonghao. Taichu then appeared and told Shan Junhao it was time for him to leave Guanmei.
Back home, Fan Yunyi confronted Shan Junhao about his lies, noting his disheveled appearance and borrowed clothes. He claimed he had accidentally gotten wet and had to borrow whatever was available. Fan Yunyi, however, had seen him with Ye Qianyu and accused him of lying. She tearfully reminded him that he had promised to watch the meteor shower with her, but instead, he had gone to see Ye Qianyu.
Shan Junhao insisted there was nothing between them, claiming Ye Qianyu had “shamelessly insisted” him to be Tonghao for ten seconds. Fan Yunyi retorted that his eyes had betrayed his true feelings when he was embracing Ye Qianyu. Later, Fan Yunyi’s mother, upon hearing of the incident, asked Shan Junhao if Fan Yunyi’s words were true, sternly warning him not to see Ye Qianyu again. The next morning, Fan Yunyi drove herself to work.
At the company, Xu Ziqian questioned Shan Junhao about Fan Yunyi’s absence, advising him to cherish her, as others would if he didn’t. He emphatically told Shan Junhao that he must not hurt Fan Yunyi. Shan Junhao replied that Fan Yunyi was his fiancée, and he would never harm her. Xu Ziqian sharply retorted that Shan Junhao had never truly cared about anyone since childhood. Shan Junhao, pondering Xu Ziqian’s words, later asked Dawei how to make a girl happy.
Dawei, after humorously denying any personal experience in dating, explained that girls need attention, romance, and surprises. He called Shan Junhao a "typical straight man" and advised him to apologize first in arguments, regardless of who was at fault. Dawei suggested preparing a special gift and taking her to a romantic place for a surprise. Meanwhile, at Guanmei Inn, the staff discussed how Princess Snow's post with Shan Junhao had dramatically increased her followers and influence.
This, in turn, prevented other media outlets from reporting her allergy incident, resolving a major crisis for Guanmei Inn. They expressed relief that the inn would no longer face the threat of demolition, now officially recognized as part of Senwell. Elsewhere, Old Tang tried to be romantic by placing flowers for Mama Jinzhi but, upon being teased and insulted by her, he awkwardly denied having sent them. Shan Junhao, following Dawei’s advice, took Fan Yunyi on a date.
To his surprise, they ended up in the same restaurant as Ye Qianyu and Taichu. Despite the unexpected encounter, Shan Junhao presented Fan Yunyi with a beautiful necklace. He apologized for his past shortcomings, for not making her happy, and for neglecting her feelings, promising to always be by her side and make it up to her.
Fan Yunyi was touched by his changed behavior, admitting she found it hard to believe he would do such things for her, but she did like it. She told him she would observe his future actions, implying her forgiveness, as he clasped the necklace around her neck. At the other end of the restaurant, Taichu noticed Ye Qianyu’s somber mood. He suggested they go to another restaurant, but she declined.
Taichu then told her that the best way to move on from someone is with time or a new love, adding that he wouldn't mind if she used him to forget Shan Junhao, as he loved her. Ye Qianyu, however, said she wasn't ready, to which Taichu responded he would wait for her. Later, Taichu told a silly story about putting chewing gum in his ear, which made Ye Qianyu burst into laughter, drawing Shan Junhao's attention.
After dinner, Taichu walked Ye Qianyu home, reiterating his patience. Mama Jinzhi and Shengzhe saw them arrive. Once Taichu left, Mama Jinzhi, deeply concerned for Ye Qianyu, urged her to consider Taichu. She echoed Taichu’s sentiment about moving on and emphasized that accepting Taichu’s affection would be beneficial for their family’s future happiness. Concurrently, Senwell and GQ officially signed a contract for the development of Guanmei Fishing Village.
The agreement stipulated the preservation of the village’s original character and historical value while integrating modern conveniences to create a unique resort. Taichu was appointed as GQ’s executive consultant, tasked with residing at Senwell to ensure the project’s smooth execution. He asked Shan Junhao to prepare an office for him there. Taichu later visited Ye Qianyu, sharing the good news that the development plan would protect Guanmei’s traditions, and he would personally oversee it to prevent any harm.
The "bad news," he revealed, was that he would be leaving Guanmei to work at Senwell, though he promised to visit often. He then extended an invitation for Ye Qianyu to join him at Senwell as his assistant. He praised her intelligence, capability, adaptability, and organizational skills, believing she possessed great potential for hotel management. Taichu suggested she was the ideal candidate to take over Guanmei Inn from Old Tang, whose ideas were outdated, especially since Shengzhe was still young.
He presented Senwell as an excellent platform for her personal and professional growth. Ye Qianyu hesitated, fearing entanglement with Shan Junhao and doubting her own experience. Taichu encouraged her not to let a failed relationship hinder her progress, urging her to face the past to embrace a brighter future. He also questioned if she truly didn't want to be involved in the Guanmei Fishing Village development project. Mama Jinzhi, noticing Ye Qianyu’s concerns, asked about it.
When she learned of Taichu’s offer, she encouraged her daughter to seize the opportunity. She explained that her past desire for Ye Qianyu to marry a wealthy man stemmed from a need to pay off her father's debts and her wish for Ye Qianyu not to be confined like herself. Mama Jinzhi affirmed that Ye Qianyu was smart and capable, destined for more than the small fishing village.
She urged her to be brave, "fly," and embrace new challenges, promising to always be there to catch her if she stumbled. Mama Jinzhi believed Ye Qianyu would make the right choice. Meanwhile, Xu Ziqian’s mother confronted him, expressing her disbelief that he still didn't trust her words. She played a recording, implying it contained proof related to his father’s legacy.
She accused him of self-deception and reminded him that his father’s life’s work should have been his, but now he was merely a "small director" serving the Shan family. She voiced her indignation on his behalf, questioning if he still intended to protect the Shan family.
