Ye Qianyu and Tonghao quietly returned home late at night, only to be caught by Mama Jinzhi. She was furious because Tonghao had used her credit card to treat Qianyu to a romantic Ferris wheel ride, spending 480 yuan on dinner and only bringing back some fried chicken for her. Mama Jinzhi punished Tonghao by making him sort all the groceries in the warehouse and told him he couldn't sleep until the task was complete.
After Tonghao left, Mama Jinzhi chided Qianyu for getting too close to the "suspicious" Tonghao, reminding her that Taichu had ended his meeting early and rushed to her party, only for Tonghao to get there first. Mama Jinzhi urged Qianyu to recognize that Taichu was the "prince" and Tonghao merely a "frog," and not to forget her promise to marry a rich man. Qianyu, however, insisted she had no relationship with Taichu and had no interest in him.
Meanwhile, Taichu, who had found Tonghao to be unusual, had researched Shan Junhao, the former general manager of Senwell, and linked him to Tonghao. He was determined to uncover what Senwell was hiding, both for GQ Ventures and the Guanmei project. He arranged to meet Xu Ziqian and, getting straight to the point, asked if Shan Junhao was missing. Xu Ziqian initially claimed the rumors were baseless, stating that Mr. Shan was abroad for research.
However, when Taichu offered to help find Shan Junhao, Xu Ziqian showed him a photo. Taichu immediately recognized the person as Tonghao, confirming to Xu Ziqian that Shan Junhao was indeed Tonghao, working at Guanmei Inn. Back at the inn, Qianyu helped Tonghao sort goods in the warehouse until she fell asleep, and Tonghao gently watched over her. Mama Jinzhi later saw the couple holding hands and smiling foolishly, sighing deeply at their affection.
At breakfast, their undeniable closeness led Mama Jinzhi to call Tonghao aside under the pretense of moving beer. She warned him that a man with no memory could not promise a future to Qianyu, and she would not allow her daughter to be hurt. Tonghao, undeterred, promised to prove his commitment to Qianyu through his actions. Witnessing their blossoming romance, Tang Shunming also began to feel a sense of unease.
Xu Ziqian drove to Guanmei Inn looking for Shan Junhao, but he and Qianyu were out shopping. He decided to wait at the inn, and in an attempt to reach Tonghao, he borrowed Tang Shunming's phone to call him. Tang Shunming was visibly terrified, fearing the truth would be exposed, but Tonghao was too busy to answer the call.
When Tonghao eventually returned, Xu Ziqian immediately recognized him as Junhao, but to his dismay, Tonghao did not recognize him, denying he was Shan Junhao and insisting his name was Tonghao. He even claimed Ye Qianyu was his girlfriend, having no recollection of his fiancée, Fan Yunyi, or his past life. Xu Ziqian was deeply distressed, unable to comprehend why Junhao would abandon his family and company.
Seeing Xu Ziqian's pain, Tang Shunming confessed that Tonghao had lost his memory, which was why he couldn't return to Senwell. Tang Shunming admitted he had recognized Shan Junhao earlier but kept the truth hidden, fearing that if Shan Junhao returned to Senwell, the Guanmei project would be demolished, destroying the inn. However, Tonghao was adamant; he refused to leave, stating he didn't remember those people or that life, and only wanted to stay with Ye Qianyu.
Hearing Tonghao dismiss Fan Yunyi, whom Xu Ziqian secretly admired, Xu Ziqian, in a fit of rage, punched Tonghao, calling him a "scum." Ye Qianyu arrived back at Guanmei Inn, full of joy, only to find Tonghao injured and to be confronted by an enraged Xu Ziqian. He accused her of irresponsibly hiding Shan Junhao, causing harm to the Shan family and Senwell, and declared that she and Shan Junhao belonged to two different worlds.
Qianyu was devastated and confused, questioning if Tonghao was truly Shan Junhao. Tang Shunming stepped in, defending Qianyu and promising Xu Ziqian that given time, Shan Junhao would eventually return to his original life. Qianyu was overcome with guilt, feeling she had ruined Tonghao's life. However, when Tang Shunming later apologized to Tonghao for his selfishness in concealing the truth, Tonghao revealed that he bore no one any ill will.
He regarded his amnesia as a journey of self-discovery, emphasizing that every day at Guanmei had been happy and warm. He told Tang Shunming that even if he was Shan Junhao, he chose to remain Tonghao, explaining that Qianyu had inspired him to become a kinder, more considerate person, unlike his former self who was cold, ruthless, proud, and arrogant. Despite this, an awkward distance grew between Qianyu and Tonghao.
Shortly after, Tang Shunming accidentally injured his foot and Tonghao brought him to Money Bag Grocery for care. Mama Jinzhi reluctantly agreed to let Tang Shunming stay, charging him 2000 yuan a month for lodging fees. To accommodate Tang Shunming, Tonghao offered to move back to the warehouse so Tang Shunming could share a room with Shengzhe. Meanwhile, Xu Ziqian's dog, Daisy, accidentally ingested shampoo.
He called Fan Yunyi, who rushed to help him take Daisy to the hospital and then cared for her at home. While searching for a blanket, Yunyi discovered a windmill that she had made as a child, which Junhao had deemed ugly. Xu Ziqian had kept it all these years, telling her he found it beautiful and special. Moved by his unspoken devotion, Yunyi embraced Xu Ziqian, thanking him for always being there for her.
At that moment, Xu Ziqian almost confessed his feelings, but instead, he pushed her away, compelled to share the shocking truth. He told Yunyi that he had found Junhao. Overjoyed, Yunyi immediately prepared to go to him, but Xu Ziqian stopped her, revealing that Junhao had lost his memory, remembered nothing of his past, and now had a new girlfriend, Ye Qianyu.
