Flavour It's Yours Episode 24 Recap
> Flavour It's Yours Recap
Following the confrontation in the Buck Winery cellar, He Buzui, after drinking from a bottle of Pear Blossom, pulled Lu Weixun into a kiss with tears streaming down her face. She then pushed him away, declaring she was returning his sense of taste and that their contract was over before turning to leave. Lu Weixun silently reflected that he had already consulted a doctor; his hysterical ageusia was long cured, healed by her very presence.
Later that night by the river, Yi Nanke expressed his admiration for He Buzui, admitting he had expected her to be blinded by love but was surprised by her clear-headedness. He Buzui clarified that returning Lu Weixun's palate didn't mean she no longer loved him; she was just upset by his deception, though she knew she shouldn't blame him for the grievances of their fathers' generation. Yi Nanke agreed, seeing her clarity as its own form of awakening.
When He Buzui lamented her inability to remember more, Yi Nanke suggested they try to trigger her memories again using darkness and the sensation of drowning, provided she could endure it. Lu Weixun confronted his father, Lu Linong, with a bottle of Pear Blossom from Buck Winery. Lu Linong confirmed a large quantity had been acquired years ago, explaining that Lu Weixun’s mother had deeply loved the wine.
To fulfill his ailing wife's wish to see the underrated wine succeed, he had sought to acquire He Wine Distillery. He specified that he had contacted Wan Ran directly after receiving his business card at a tasting event. When pressed about why the acquisition failed and the distillery closed, Lu Linong claimed ignorance. At that moment, Wan Zeze called Lu Weixun to pick him up from the hospital. Soon after, Wan Ran was informed that his son had disappeared.
Lu Weixun brought Zeze to his home, where Zeze anxiously asked if his father, Wan Ran, had harmed He Buzui or Yi Nanke. He revealed that his father had them followed, giving an excuse that Zeze didn't believe. Lu Weixun then explained the connection: Yi Nanke's father, rumored to have stolen the He family wine recipe, had been missing for years until his body was recently discovered in Lu Linong's warehouse.
The police autopsy indicated he had been dead for nearly twenty years. A disturbed Zeze asked if his father was responsible, but Lu Weixun admitted that while there was no conclusive evidence, Wan Ran was a prime suspect. He Buzui went to Yi Nanke’s bar, where he gave her some Pear Blossom he had acquired from Mu Chunfeng.
She decided to attempt the memory retrieval in the very cellar where he had previously trapped her, noting the psychological trauma would be unforgettable. Yi Nanke apologized for his past actions and promised to wait outside, urging her to call for help if she couldn't bear it. Inside the cellar, He Buzui poured a box of Pear Blossom into a large basin. After Yi Nanke closed the door, plunging the room into darkness, she was initially overcome with fear.
Gazing into the wine, she steadied herself and submerged her face. The immersion triggered a full recollection: as a child, she had witnessed a struggle between Yi Nanke's father, Jianguo, and another man. The man, whom she now recognized as Wan Ran, was trying to steal the wine recipe. When Jianguo refused and threatened to tell her father, Wan Ran attacked him, getting his arm scratched in the process.
Stumbling out of the cellar, He Buzui breathlessly told Yi Nanke that she remembered everything: the murderer was Wan Ran. She recalled seeing his injured arm as a child and connected it to a scar she had recently seen on him. Just then, Mi Ya’s brother rushed in, claiming Mi Ya had been kidnapped because of Yi Nanke. Urging He Buzui to be careful, Yi Nanke immediately left to rescue Mi Ya.
Meanwhile, Wan Ran was already at He Buzui's house. As He Buzui ran in, she found her father unconscious on the sofa. While she tried to wake him, Wan Ran emerged, mockingly asking what the danger was as his men entered. He revealed he knew she had remembered everything. When Lu Weixun called, Wan Ran ignored it and ordered his men to tie up He Buzui and take her away.
Unable to reach He Buzui, a frantic Lu Weixun sped towards her house. Simultaneously, Yi Nanke arrived at Mi Ya’s home to find her perfectly safe. Realizing he had been tricked by her brother, who wanted to get his attention, Yi Nanke understood He Buzui was in danger and rushed off. Lu Weixun found He Buzui's house empty, discovering her phone and the number "87" left on the floor.
He called Zeze, who deduced "87" must be part of a license plate, giving him the full number: Bin AE0587. As he drove, Lu Weixun arranged to meet Xia Fan and Hao Yong. He informed a worried Yi Nanke that Wan Ran had taken He Buzui but assured him she would be safe. At their meeting, Lu Weixun explained the kidnapping to a furious Hao Yong. Xia Fan immediately broadcasted the car's license plate on his live stream.
A viewer soon reported its location, but Xia Fan warned that the car was entering an old district with fewer followers to track it. He advised Lu Weixun to wait for the police, but Lu Weixun refused, declaring he couldn't wait a moment longer as he continued the high-speed pursuit.
