As He Buzui and Xia Fan were heading out to buy groceries, a man stopped He Buzui, stating that Lu Linong wished to see her. Knowing Lu Linong was Lu Weixun's father, He Buzui told Xia Fan to go back first and left with the man. Upon returning home, Xia Fan was questioned by Lu Weixun about He Buzui's whereabouts.

Xia Fan nervously explained she had been "abducted," clarifying that it was Lu Weixun's father who had taken her, which immediately alarmed Lu Weixun. He Buzui arrived at Lu Linong's home and was offered tea. Lu Linong directly asked if she was dating Lu Weixun, to which she confirmed. He remarked that being with the heir to the Lu Group was not easy.

He Buzui countered that Lu Weixun was relatively easy to deal with, humorously adding that he was an insincere and childish person who was difficult at first but had improved. Lu Linong then mentioned his knowledge of her family's He Wine Distillery, praising her father's Pear Blossom wine. He Buzui asked if he knew what happened to the distillery years ago, but Lu Linong claimed ignorance. Just then, Lu Weixun arrived, demanding to know his father's intentions.

Lu Linong questioned if he couldn't even meet his future daughter-in-law. Lu Weixun retorted, "I'm not you. I'll take good care of her," before asserting he would take He Buzui away. As they departed, He Buzui mentioned that Lu Linong seemed to know about Pear Blossom but was reluctant to discuss it. Meanwhile, Yi Nanke received confirmation from the police that the remains found at the distillery belonged to his father, who had been missing for twenty years.

Emotionally distressed, he felt he could no longer live according to his brother's wishes and had crucial tasks to fulfill. Around this time, Mi Ya had a tense phone call with her mother, who disapproved of her relationship with a bar owner, mistakenly calling Yi Nanke "Yi Beidao." Afterward, Mi Ya confronted her sister, accusing her of revealing the relationship to their mother.

Later, Yi Nanke invited Mi Ya out and challenged her to a drinking game, with the loser granting the winner a request. Mi Ya accepted and lost. Yi Nanke thanked her for her companionship but declared he was done with "love games." When she pressed for a reason, he coldly stated he despised her. Mi Ya accused him of lying, but he reiterated his disdain and told her not to contact him again.

Distraught, Mi Ya left, walking alone in the cold rain. Lu Weixun later accompanied He Buzui shopping. A promoter offered them a free pair of cartoon ears from Zootopia: Officer Judy's bunny ears and Nick the Fox's fox ears. He Buzui had Lu Weixun put the bunny ears on her, and he affectionately called her "very cute." Identifying them as an "official couple," she then tried to make Lu Weixun wear the fox ears. He resisted, calling it "lame."

Annoyed, He Buzui walked off to a street food stall. As she argued with Lu Weixun about ordering hot pot, which he said would "damage her palate," she turned and saw him wearing the fox ears. Her anger vanished, and they happily went home, abandoning the street food. They made hot pot at home, with He Buzui reassuring him the mild spice wouldn't affect his taste.

The next day, He Buzui learned from her father's assistant that Mr. Wan had visited. She called Mr. Wan and asked if he was the one who bought her family's distillery years ago, allowing her father to afford her medical treatment. Mr. Wan denied it, explaining he only bought it later to use as a warehouse. When asked who the original buyer was, Mr. Wan revealed it was "Mr. Lu."

Later, Mu Chunfeng hosted a wine party, inviting Lu Weixun, He Buzui, and Yi Nanke. Mi Ya was also present, maintaining a cold distance from Yi Nanke. He Buzui questioned Yi Nanke about the tension, but he was dismissive. He shifted the conversation, revealing he had investigated Mr. Yang, the former owner of the fake wine factory, and discovered his entire family disappeared the day after his suicide.

Yi Nanke expressed his belief that his father's death was not a simple matter. As they talked, Mi Ya left. He Buzui again pressed Yi Nanke about their breakup. Yi Nanke explained he was pursuing the dangerous truth about his father's death and didn't want Mi Ya involved. He Buzui argued he should have been honest with her. Yi Nanke then revealed he had come to the party hoping to see Mr. Wan.

Mu Chunfeng approached Lu Weixun, mentioning a large quantity of white liquor he had found stored in the Buck Winery cellars. Yi Nanke insisted on seeing it. In the cellar, He Buzui opened a bottle and identified the scent as Pear Blossom. Yi Nanke demanded Lu Weixun explain why the wine was in his family's winery, but Lu Weixun claimed not to know. Yi Nanke then revealed Mr. Yang had committed suicide before the police arrived.

He argued that this, along with his family's disappearance, was too extreme for a simple counterfeiting case. He asserted Mr. Yang was a scapegoat for a "bigger secret." Citing financial records linking the Lu Group to the fake wine factory, Yi Nanke directly accused Lu Weixun's father of killing his father, stunning both Lu Weixun and He Buzui. Reeling, He Buzui asked Lu Weixun if he knew his father had bought her family's distillery. He nodded.

She demanded to know why he had lied. Lu Weixun explained he hadn't wanted to cause a misunderstanding before knowing the whole truth, admitting things were unfolding as he had feared. In response, He Buzui grabbed a bottle of Pear Blossom, took a long drink, and pulled Lu Weixun into a passionate kiss.
