Zhe Yan arrived to check on Mo Yuan's condition. Si Yin awoke and frantically asked Zhe Yan if there was any way to save her teacher. Zhe Yan regretfully informed her that Mo Yuan's soul had disintegrated. Si Yin burst into tears, pleading with Zhe Yan, reminding him he was Mo Yuan's older brother and the most skilled healer in the Four Seas and Eight Wildernesses. She questioned why he wouldn't save Mo Yuan.

Zhe Yan explained that Mo Yuan had sacrificed his spirit for the Donghuang Bell, and no one could save him. Si Yin recalled Mo Yuan telling her that the Donghuang Bell required a spirit sacrifice, but he also claimed he would have a way to stop it, a promise she had believed. She blamed herself for Mo Yuan’s incomplete recovery from three heavenly lightning strikes, saying it was all her fault.

Zhe Yan then reminded Si Yin of Mo Yuan’s last words, "Wait for me." Si Yin confirmed Mo Yuan had indeed said that. Zhe Yan emphasized Mo Yuan’s character, stating that if he wasn't going to return, he wouldn't have left such a promise to torment her. He suggested that Mo Yuan would definitely return. Si Yin, clinging to this hope, realized her immediate task was to preserve Mo Yuan's body until he returned.

Despite her injuries, she refused Bai Zhen's offer to return to Green Hill, insisting on staying to keep Mo Yuan company. Outside, Bai Zhen confessed to Zhe Yan that his words to Si Yin about Mo Yuan’s return were merely to comfort her; he believed it impossible since Mo Yuan’s soul had scattered. Zhe Yan, however, disagreed. He told Bai Zhen that he didn't truly understand Mo Yuan, emphasizing their shared upbringing.

Zhe Yan asserted that Mo Yuan would never have left Si Yin a promise to wait if he didn’t intend to return, suggesting that Mo Yuan might indeed find a way back. Si Yin wept by the lotus pond, mourning Mo Yuan. The spiritual essence of the Golden Lotus, manifesting as a faint projection, silently embraced her. Suddenly, a realization struck Si Yin.

She spoke to Mo Yuan, revealing that while he knew she was a wild fox, he likely didn't know she was a nine-tailed white fox. She explained that the heart blood of a nine-tailed white fox could preserve a body from decaying. Despite her past feelings that her lineage offered little value beyond appearance, she was now grateful to her parents for this unique gift.

She declared her intention for Mo Yuan to consume her heart blood, even if it meant she would perish with him, finding contentment in such a fate. With a dagger, she inflicted a painful wound and began to extract her heart's blood, watched silently by the ethereal Golden Lotus. In the main hall, Li Yuan, now clad in the ceremonial Blue Robe, addressed the surviving Wing Tribe generals.

He grandiosely proclaimed his intent to restore the Wing Tribe's might and once again purge the Heavenly Palace. The generals knelt in deference, but Li Jing remained standing, infuriating Li Yuan. Li Yuan, who had long harbored animosity towards Li Jing's rebellious nature, threatened to make Li Jing his first victim, recalling past promises. Li Jing retorted, pointing out that their father's body hadn't even been found, questioning Li Yuan's eagerness to claim the throne.

The brothers’ deep-seated animosity surfaced, with Li Jing reminding Li Yuan that their father had murdered his birth mother for the sake of Li Yuan's. Li Yuan, in turn, chillingly confessed to personally killing Li Jing's birth mother by choking her. Unexpectedly, Li Jing displayed an unusual inner power to resist Li Yuan's assault.

A general then voiced the widespread discontent, arguing that Li Yuan's power was insufficient to challenge the Heavenly Palace and questioned his willingness to sacrifice their remaining forces. He lamented the loss of 170,000 soldiers and criticized Li Yuan for showing no compassion for the fallen or surviving soldiers, caring only about his ascension to the throne.

The general asserted that only Li Jing, who had the backing of the Heavenly Monarch for a peaceful surrender, could ensure the Wing Tribe's survival. Li Yuan accused them of conspiring with the Heavenly Tribe. Li Jing then decisively ordered Li Yuan to be imprisoned in the Wing Realm's Land of Extreme Coldness, along with his ally, the golden lion. He also strictly forbade anyone from informing the young princess about these events, threatening death for disobedience.

Li Yuan was dragged away, vowing revenge against Li Jing. After successfully securing his position, Li Jing confronted a general, questioning his loyalty. Later, he turned to Xuan Nu, acknowledging her impressive cunning, from begging his father to feigning pity to steal Mo Yuan's formation map from Kunlun Void. Xuan Nu declared that all her actions were for him. Li Jing cynically agreed, admitting his own lack of virtue, and called them a perfect match, bound by fate.

At the Heavenly Palace, the Heavenly Monarch expressed his displeasure over Si Yin driving away the eighteen high immortals he had sent to manage Mo Yuan’s funeral, labeling her "bossy." Emperor Dong Hua interjected, defending Si Yin by noting the diverse personalities among Mo Yuan’s seventeen disciples and advising against taking the matter too seriously.

Although placated, the Heavenly Monarch instructed Yang Cuo, the First Prince, to go to Kunlun Void and issue a warning to Si Yin, lest she jeopardize the newly formed alliance between the Heavenly and Wing Tribes. Soon after, Princess Consort Le Xu, Yang Cuo's wife, entered with a young girl whose entire tribe had been wiped out at Ruoshui River. The Heavenly Monarch named the five-hundred-year-old girl Su Jin, as her tribe was the Sujin Tribe.

He then bestowed upon her the title Princess Zhaoren and ordered Yang Cuo and Le Xu to raise her as their goddaughter, ensuring she would never feel wronged. Le Xu, worried this was a subtle reproach for their childlessness after 30,000 years of marriage, expressed her concerns to Yang Cuo. Yang Cuo dismissed her fears, explaining that as the only married prince, it was natural for them to raise Su Jin. However, Le Xu still yearned for her own child.

Observing their conversation, Emperor Dong Hua suggested to Le Xu that she might find the answer to her worries at Kunlun Void. Both Le Xu and Yang Cuo were surprised by this suggestion. Yang Cuo and Princess Consort Le Xu arrived at Kunlun Void. A junior disciple introduced Si Yin to them.

Le Xu explained that the Heavenly Monarch had just accepted the surrender of the Wing Tribe, with Li Yuan exiled and Li Jing crowned as the new Wing Monarch after offering the sacred Cold Moon Lotus as tribute. She urged Si Yin to understand that for the stability of the Four Seas and Eight Wildernesses, no further conflict should arise.

Si Yin defiantly stated that her teacher had never suppressed her innate personality, which prevented her from feigning politeness or enduring indignation silently. Yang Cuo, losing patience, warned Si Yin not to be stubborn and questioned if she wanted him to discipline Mo Yuan’s disciple. Si Yin retorted that since her teacher sacrificed himself to protect the Heavenly Tribe, the disciples of Kunlun Void should be allowed to seek revenge. She then stormed off.

The First Senior Brother intervened, apologizing to Yang Cuo on Si Yin’s behalf, assuring him that Si Yin understood Mo Yuan’s intentions and was simply overwhelmed by grief. He promised Yang Cuo to inform the Heavenly Monarch that Kunlun Void would no longer seek vengeance after Qing Cang’s sealing. Distraught, Si Yin went to Mo Yuan's side. The Golden Lotus, whose spiritual essence had just been touched, realized it could no longer remain in Kunlun Void.

Its ethereal voice reached Si Yin, explaining that it had to leave and that once it took human form, it would forget her and this place. Si Yin, hearing the faint call, initially mistook it for Mo Yuan's voice, a product of her longing. The Golden Lotus's phantom then faded into a ray of light and disappeared. Moments later, a junior disciple rushed in, reporting that the Golden Lotus had suddenly withered without warning.

The First Senior Brother apologized to Yang Cuo and Le Xu for his junior’s outburst, but Le Xu was more focused on the lotus, wondering if it, too, was leaving like Mo Yuan. As Le Xu cautiously approached and touched the withered lotus, it transformed into a golden light, enveloped her, and then completely dissipated.

The First Senior Brother, witnessing this, explained that Mo Yuan had previously stated the lotus was merely a temporary resident in Kunlun Void, patiently awaiting its true master. He surmised that Le Xu, by her presence and the lotus’s reaction, might be its destined master, a thought that surprised Le Xu.

The First Senior Brother elaborated that since everything in the world had cause and effect, and Mo Yuan had cared for the lotus for thousands of years after Father God's disappearance, its fated connection with Le Xu now was a fortunate turn of events. The First Senior Brother came to check on Si Yin. He noticed Mo Yuan’s body remained perfectly preserved despite the passing days, a phenomenon that reminded him of a rumor.

He told Si Yin about the Wing Tribe's sacred item, the Jade Soul, which ancient scriptures claimed could forever preserve a corpse if placed in its mouth. Si Yin, acknowledging the truth of the rumor, became determined to acquire it for Mo Yuan, though her brother warned her against any forceful means due to the deep animosity between Kunlun Void and the Wing Tribe.

To conceal her true intentions, Si Yin assured her First Senior Brother that she wouldn't seek vengeance, affirming the peace Mo Yuan had sacrificed his life for. Undeterred, Si Yin secretly traveled to the Wing Tribe's Grand Purple Palace. After gaining entry, she knelt before Li Jing, the new Wing Monarch, to request a loan of the Jade Soul. She emphasized her non-vengeful purpose, stating that she respected the peace between their tribes and Li Jing’s divinely appointed status.

Li Jing questioned her specific use for the Jade Soul, suspecting it was for Mo Yuan. Si Yin acknowledged she had her reasons. Li Jing expressed regret, claiming that due to recent court upheaval, the Jade Soul had disappeared. Si Yin was dismayed and questioned how such a vital item could be lost, to which Li Jing vaguely replied that he couldn't even account for his father and brother's whereabouts, much less a mere Jade Soul.

As Si Yin left, she encountered Xuan Nu, who mockingly greeted her. Xuan Nu smugly inquired if Si Yin was searching for the Jade Soul, then brandished the item, revealing that Li Jing had gifted it to her two days prior for her wound recovery. She taunted Si Yin about the scars a girl might bear. Enraged and heartbroken by Li Jing's deception and callousness, Si Yin confronted him, who had just arrived.

She furiously declared that meeting Li Jing was her greatest regret and accused both him and Xuan Nu of being heartless as wolves, perfectly matched. Si Yin then vowed eternal enmity between herself and the Grand Purple Palace. Li Jing tried to stop her, then angrily told Xuan Nu to get lost. After Si Yin’s departure, Li Jing demanded to know Xuan Nu’s motives. Xuan Nu brazenly admitted to building upon his lie about the Jade Soul’s disappearance.

Li Jing questioned her right to interfere between him and Si Yin. Xuan Nu, however, retaliated by exposing Li Jing’s own insecurities, reminding him that Si Yin never truly cared for him, only for Mo Yuan. She revealed his jealousy that Si Yin constantly spoke of Mo Yuan, even during their time under Kunlun Void Mountains, and that he only flirted with Xuan Nu because Si Yin was from the Heavenly Tribe and never returned his affections.

Li Jing, visibly pained, told her to stop. Xuan Nu, overwhelmed by her own jealousy, confessed her deep resentment for all she had done for him, only to be undervalued. She cried out that the title of Winged Monarchess meant nothing since he had never touched her since their marriage, claiming it couldn’t compare to the few days they spent together under Kunlun Void Mountain.

Li Jing sternly ordered her never to mention Kunlun Void again, to which Xuan Nu sadly questioned if he could truly forget it. At Kunlun Void, the First Senior Brother hosted a banquet for Mo Yuan and the Ninth Junior Brother, joined by the other disciples. The disciples expressed that it had been a long time since they had such a lively gathering, especially since their teacher and Ninth Senior Brother passed away.

They raised a toast to Mo Yuan, and then to Ninth Junior Brother, reminiscing about his poor alcohol tolerance. Si Yin, addressing her senior brothers, apologized for causing them and their teacher worry throughout her time at Kunlun Void due to her troublemaking and lack of focus on training. She then drank a cup of wine.

The First Senior Brother reflected on happier days when they would roam the mortal world, with only Ninth Junior Brother keeping Si Yin company in her studies. Another disciple recalled a time they rode clouds to watch the sunrise after getting drunk, narrowly avoiding their teacher's scolding. They promised to relive that memory after Mo Yuan's burial. As her senior brothers gradually succumbed to the wine, Si Yin, while they were passed out, knelt before Mo Yuan's body.

She whispered a heartfelt apology for failing to retrieve the Jade Soul. Deciding that the only way to preserve his body was to take him to Green Hill, she bid farewell to her senior brothers. The next morning, the disciples awoke to find both Si Yin and Mo Yuan's body gone from Kunlun Void.
