Li Jing is in his chambers, surrounded by women. While he praises one of them, his mind is clearly elsewhere, still searching for a trace of Si Yin, whom he has been unable to forget for 70,000 years. His sister, Yan Zhi, enters to update him on her search for their Eldest Brother, Li Yuan, feigning dejection over her lack of clues.
Li Jing dismisses the other women, and Yan Zhi expresses her sorrow that after 70,000 years, he still hasn't moved past his grievances. Li Jing coldly cuts her off whenever she mentions Li Yuan, insisting that Yan Zhi is his only sibling. Yan Zhi then reveals she found the Kunlun Fan of Yuqing in the mortal realm. Li Jing immediately recognizes it as Si Yin's weapon and excitedly demands to know if Yan Zhi saw her.
Yan Zhi explains that a mortal woman found it on Junji Mountain in the Eastern Wilderness. This sparks a memory in Li Jing of Si Yin mentioning that she and her senior brothers often visited Junji Mountain. Convinced Si Yin might be there, Li Jing rushes off to find her. As Li Jing leaves, he encounters Xuan Nü harshly scolding a maid for failing to kneel properly.
He ignores Xuan Nü, who angrily confronts him about his frequent trips to the mortal realm and his neglect of her, his chief consort, for 70,000 years, during which they have had no child. Li Jing curtly tells her to leave the matter of a child to fate and that he has important work to do.
Xuan Nü retaliates by mentioning Kunlun Void and Si Yin, highlighting her own loyalty and presence by his side for decades, but Li Jing abruptly silences her and tells her to remember her identity. Li Jing arrives at Junji Mountain and frantically searches for Si Yin, finding no trace. As he stands in a bamboo grove holding the Kunlun Fan, Ye Hua suddenly appears.
Mistaking him for High God Mo Yuan due to their striking resemblance, Li Jing addresses him as such. Ye Hua corrects him, introducing himself as Ye Hua, the Crown Prince of the Heavenly Tribe. Li Jing apologizes for his impoliteness. Ye Hua informs Li Jing that Junji Mountain is a forbidden area, marked by the Heavenly Tribe after he slew the Fiery Golden Lion there.
Noticing the Kunlun Fan, Ye Hua deduces that Li Jing is searching for High Immortal Si Yin. He tells Li Jing that Si Yin and High God Mo Yuan went into seclusion after the great war 70,000 years ago. Li Jing expresses his disbelief, but Ye Hua calmly reclaims the Kunlun Fan, asserting its rightful place is with the Heavenly Tribe, and Li Jing departs, defeated and dejected.
Back at the hut, Su Su accidentally burns their last bit of rice, lamenting its scarcity and her own clumsiness. Ye Hua reassures her, promising to find food once his injuries heal. That night, Ye Hua carries the sleeping Su Su from the floor to the bed. She awakens startled, questioning why she's on the bed. Ye Hua calmly lies, claiming she unconsciously climbs into bed with him every night, and due to his injuries, he couldn't stop her.
Su Su, embarrassed, asks if she was the only one who wanted to hug him, and Ye Hua confirms it. Though flustered, Su Su finds comfort and peace in his proximity. In Tai Chen Palace, Feng Jiu is trimming peach blossoms when Star Monarch Si Ming arrives. She expresses frustration that despite being in the palace for days, she hasn't seen Emperor Dong Hua and is constantly summoned elsewhere, making her forget her original purpose.
Si Ming explains that the Emperor is rarely seen, living a detached life and only concerning himself with significant matters of the Four Seas and Eight Wildernesses. He jokingly calls the Emperor "an immortal suitable for hanging on the wall."
Determined to repay the Emperor for saving her life, Feng Jiu agrees to Si Ming's plan: she will select some beautiful peach blossoms, and Si Ming will present them to the Emperor, praising them to create an opportunity for her to express her gratitude. Si Ming brings the selected peach blossoms to Emperor Dong Hua, where Third Highness Lian Song is also present. Si Ming mentions a new, beautiful palace girl picked them.
Intrigued, Lian Song asks to meet her, prompting Si Ming to summon Feng Jiu. Just then, Cheng Yu also arrives. Feng Jiu bows to the Emperor, but Lian Song openly flirts with her and teases Si Ming about praising her beauty. Emperor Dong Hua, visibly annoyed by their antics, pointedly asks if they have conspired to "stage a play" in his study before walking away, leaving the four of them bewildered.
After the Emperor's departure, Lian Song criticizes Feng Jiu's meekness. Cheng Yu, knowing Feng Jiu's true identity, expresses frustration that the Emperor missed the opportunity to acknowledge her. They discuss Feng Jiu's presence, confirming she is Bai Fengjiu of Green Hill, who is dressed as a maid to repay the Emperor for saving her life.
Lian Song suggests the Emperor might have staged the rescue to foster feelings between them, mentioning the countless women who have used "repaying kindness" as an excuse to approach the Emperor. He then directly asks Feng Jiu if she harbors romantic feelings for him. Back in the hut, Su Su prepares a bowl of porridge from their last remaining rice. She reluctantly confesses to Ye Hua that they have no more food.
Ye Hua initially assumes she's worried about surviving the upcoming winter, but Su Su clarifies that her concern is her inability to care for him now that his wound has significantly healed. With a timid voice, she implies it might be time for him to leave. Ye Hua, however, insists that he must repay her for saving his life. He urges her to consider what she desires.
After a moment of contemplation, Su Su shyly suggests that if he truly wishes to repay her, he could marry her. She explains her solitary existence on Junji Mountain and her longing for a companion. Ye Hua, secretly delighted as this was part of his plan, quickly agrees, much to Su Su's surprise. She admits she thought he would need days to think it over. Su Su then expresses her desire for a proper marriage ceremony, even without parents.
Ye Hua readily agrees and suggests they go to the market to buy items for the ceremony. As they prepare for the wedding, Su Su voices her anxieties, pointing out that she only owns a humble thatched hut and playfully asks if he is trying to trick her into marriage. Ye Hua is amused, teasing her for being the one who suggested marriage and now fearing deception. Su Su assures him that she will never complain or dislike him.
His heart touched by her sincerity, Ye Hua promises they will discuss their future later. While in the market, they overhear a dramatic story about a Taoist priest who went mad after his wife returned with another man's child, and the biological father beat him and stole his money. Su Su asks if Ye Hua knows the priest. Ye Hua dismisses the priest as an "evil person" who troubled him twice, noting that justice has been served.
Inside their humble hut, Su Su, adorned in a red wedding veil, expresses her anxieties. She asks Ye Hua what would happen if their personalities were incompatible, if his family disapproved of their union, or if he already had a prior marriage engagement. Ye Hua admits his family situation is very complicated but assures her with unwavering sincerity that from that day forward, she is his wife for all eternity, and he will never break her heart.
Su Su, comforted by his words, replies, "Okay, I trust you." She kneels with Ye Hua before the open expanse of the Eastern Wilderness. Ye Hua formally declares their union to the "Great Lake of the Eastern Wilderness," calling upon "all the gods of the Four Seas and Eight Wildernesses" to witness their vows to be a married couple for all eternity, to treat each other wholeheartedly, and to never abandon each other. Su Su echoes a similar vow.
After the ceremony, she warns him that she cannot tolerate infidelity. If he ever breaks her heart, their vows will be voided, and she will abandon him forever. Ye Hua playfully responds that her leaving him would then fulfill his wish, to which Su Su chides him for joking. He then tenderly promises he will never break her heart, cementing their union.
