After learning Ai Qing and the children were in trouble, Wu Bai arrived at the poultry shed with his robot, Wu Liao. He found Ai Qing sitting on the ground, covered in feathers, and felt a pang of sympathy for her disheveled state. Ai Qing was surprised to see him, and Wu Bai explained he was asked to bring them some food. A young girl, Luo Hui, ran up and asked if the two knew each other.
Their playfully conflicting answers of "yes" and "no" confused her, until Ai Qing smiled and clarified that they would get to know each other better over time. Outside, children gathered around Wu Liao, curious about the robot. Ai Qing commented on its unique design, and Wu Bai teased that her own appearance was also quite unique at the moment. Feeling self-conscious, Ai Qing asked if she looked like a mess, but Wu Bai assured her she looked cute.
As the children grew hungry, Wu Bai called his K&K team. Shen Zhe, Zhou Yi, and 97 soon arrived with a bounty of food. Zhou Yi and 97 immediately showcased their cooking skills, preparing dumplings and other dishes, while Shen Zhe delighted the children with magic tricks. Watching the joyful scene, Ai Qing smiled and remarked on K&K's surprising talents. She thanked Wu Bai, but he dismissed her gratitude, saying it was unnecessary between them.
Ai Qing insisted on politeness since they weren't that familiar, which made Wu Bai laugh and tease her about her serious, "old-school leader" demeanor. Noticing a feather in her hair, he gently reached out to remove it. As the camp's hot water had been used up, Wu Bai offered to take Ai Qing to the nearby K&K base for a shower, assuring her their facilities were excellent. He thoughtfully left a set of his clean clothes for her.
After her shower, Ai Qing found the pants were too large. Wu Bai offered to get a smaller size from 97, but she declined. He then leaned in to help her adjust the oversized waistband, and the close proximity made Ai Qing's heart flutter. Wu Bai then led her on a tour of the base, showing her a large globe marked with points representing every city where he had competed.
He pointed to a specific spot, revealing it marked the place where they had first met. This triggered Ai Qing's memories of a rainy day when he helped her retrieve her remote control before defeating her in a competition. Wu Bai then recalled their second meeting in Singapore and their encounter with two cats, prompting Ai Qing to remember asking if they were siblings or a couple.
She also recalled their visit to a shooting range, where he had lent her his gold medal for a photo—a medal she still kept. Wu Bai confirmed he had seen it when he stayed at her house. Relieved, Ai Qing asked if she'd said anything foolish while drunk, but he reassured her that nothing she did could scare him because he was "brave." Feeling she knew little about him, Ai Qing asked for his story.
Wu Bai recounted his life: born in Guangzhou, he moved to Norway for high school, then returned after their Singapore encounter. He completed his studies at Caltech in two years to fulfill his grandfather's wish, established K&K's North American branch, and competed across the globe before returning to Shanghai to found K&K China. When Ai Qing asked why he returned, he confessed it was for an important person he couldn't forget—"someone I like."
As he repeated the words, their eyes met, revealing the depth of his feelings. Just then, a clueless Zhou Yi burst in, interrupting the moment with an enthusiastic monologue about his cooking. Sidelined, Wu Bai cleverly asked Zhou Yi to get him a glass of water, finally sending him away. Wu Bai moved to place an object on a table, and as he turned, Ai Qing, who was following closely, stopped short and lost her balance.
Wu Bai's reflexes were instant; he wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her steady. The motion lifted the smaller Ai Qing, causing her bare feet to land gently on top of his. They gazed into each other's eyes, the air thick with sweet intimacy. Wu Bai softly apologized, but Ai Qing insisted it was her own fault. The spell was broken when Zhou Yi returned with the water.
Later, Wu Bai walked Ai Qing back to the campsite, reluctant to leave. Ai Qing gently urged him to get some rest and, seeing him hesitate, playfully tapped his cheek, telling him not to look back. Back at his base, Wu Bai couldn't sleep, a smile on his face as he touched the spot on his cheek where she had touched him. Ai Qing was also awake, pondering his words about "someone he liked."
Luo Hui, lying nearby, sat up and asked Ai Qing if she was "Frigg," Wu Bai's goddess, explaining she could tell by the way he looked at her. She then bluntly asked if Ai Qing liked him. With a smile, Ai Qing promised to tell her the next day, to which Luo Hui slyly predicted that she would like him even more by then. The next morning, Wu Bai invited Ai Qing and the children to the K&K base.
97 proudly introduced "Nobody," the first robot Wu Bai used to win a championship, calling it their "first child" since they designed it together. He also showcased "Trashcan," K&K's new secret weapon, which Shen Zhe demonstrated for the excited children. Her natural rapport with the children led one of the K&K members to comment that she would make a great team leader.
That afternoon, as Ai Qing ushered the children onto the bus, Wu Bai took her hand, pulling her back. Filled with reluctance to see her go, he could only manage to say, "Be safe on the way." Meanwhile, Wang Hao bought the house where he and Ai Qing had once trained, a place filled with memories. He wandered the rooms, wondering if they could ever return to their past.
That evening, Ai Qing bought pan-fried pork buns on her way home. She texted Wu Bai that she was almost there, only to run into Wang Hao at her building's entrance. He had also bought her buns and started to tell her about purchasing their old base when a cat's meow made him flinch. Ai Qing chuckled, reminding him the local cats were harmless, but he explained his cat hair allergy, a detail she had forgotten.
After a brief, awkward exchange, she went inside, leaving a disappointed Wang Hao holding the house keys. At home, Ai Qing told her sister, Ai Jing, about the trip. When she mentioned showering at the K&K base, Ai Jing playfully feigned shock, asking if she and Wu Bai had showered together, which Ai Qing quickly corrected. Ai Qing then shared that Wu Bai had told her there was "someone he liked" at the base.
Ai Jing immediately declared it a confession to Ai Qing, but Ai Qing remained uncertain, explaining that Zhou Yi's interruption left her unsure of who he meant. Observing her sister's flustered reaction, Ai Jing knew she had a crush, teasingly checking her racing heartbeat and raising a toast to "love."
