After losing, Ai Qing asked Wu Bai if he had intentionally lost to her during their previous session in Singapore, citing a fan's online disclosure. Wu Bai firmly denied it, explaining that his performance had been affected by a problem with his eyes. He revealed that he underwent surgery immediately after that competition, which led to his three-year disappearance.
He had wanted to call her from the hospital but felt he couldn't offer her happiness at that time, so he decided to wait until he had achieved success before finding her again.
