Ai Qing recalled their first meeting when her robot's remote control was broken. Wu Bai fixed it for her, telling her to "Trust me," a phrase no one had ever said to her before. She later realized he had done much more for her than just that.
Three years prior, Ai Qing had chosen to retire due to a decline in form and the need to care for her family. She felt lost and downhearted during that period until she saw a painting downstairs with the words, "Follow your dream. You are not alone." Wu Bai explained that he wasn't sure if his eyes would heal at the time, so he dared not meet her, instead choosing to express his feelings through the drawing.
Ai Qing confessed that the message had warmed her for three years, guiding her back to her dreams. For Wu Bai, protecting her was the greatest happiness. They exchanged tender glances, their hearts filled with joy. The next morning, Wu Bai woke early and, after a tender kiss on Ai Qing’s cheek, gently woke her. Over breakfast, Wu Bai encouraged her to eat more, noting how slim she was, and offered advice on improving Mi's robot, Cobra, and finding him a co-operator. He also mentioned wanting to take her to a hotpot restaurant that evening. After breakfast, Wu Bai drove Ai Qing back to her hotel. As she was about to leave the car, he called her back, asking if she had forgotten something.
Confused, she approached him, and he pulled her close for a deep kiss. Unbeknownst to them, Slide witnessed the intimate moment and quickly pulled his two teammates away. He later approached Ai Qing, advising her to keep her relationship with Wu Bai low-key due to their prominent positions in the robot combat circuit. Meanwhile, Su Cheng visited Wang Hao in his room, urging him to allow her to take their daughter, Xiao Ai, abroad for medical treatment.
She offered to resign as K&K's team leader to focus solely on their daughter's care. Just then, Ai Qing knocked. Hearing from Slide that many team members were feeling unwell, Ai Qing had brought cold medicine for them, which Wang Hao gratefully accepted. At midday, Ai Qing met Wu Bai at the hotel entrance. Fearing they might be seen together, she suggested they enter the hotpot restaurant separately, with her following a navigation app and him trailing behind.
At an adjacent table, two girls openly admired Wu Bai, remarking that Ai Qing looked more like his sister than his girlfriend, and discussed asking for his contact information. That evening, Shen Zhe called Ai Jing, who finally answered but expressed her unwillingness to hear any more explanations about Xing Zhouzhou, asking him to let them both move on. She then hung up, collapsing onto the table in tears. Concluding that the situation couldn't continue, Shen Zhe summoned Xing Zhouzhou. He offered her two bottles of "pills," stating that if she wanted to be self-destructive, he would join her.
Terrified by his seriousness, Xing Zhouzhou called him ruthless and fled. Shen Zhe then revealed the "pills" were merely chocolate beans and ate one. Relieved, his mood brightened, and he invited 97 and the others out for a late-night snack. Around 4 AM, Wu Bai and Ai Qing returned to the hotel. To avoid being seen, Wu Bai suggested Ai Qing go up first. However, as Ai Qing entered one elevator, Shen Zhe and his team emerged from another.
They enthusiastically pulled Wu Bai along for a late-night meal, coincidentally at the same hotpot restaurant. The waitress, recognizing Wu Bai, was quickly cut off by him before she could say anything. As they ate, 97 took photos and posted them on social media. Knowing Wu Bai's fondness for beef meatballs, each teammate added one to his plate. Already full from his earlier dinner, Wu Bai reluctantly ate them.
Ai Qing messaged him, and he directed her to 97's social media. She saw the photos and chuckled at Wu Bai's second meal of the night. She complimented his new profile picture, a birthday cake design she had made for him. Wu Bai replied proudly that his "girlfriend drew it." Wu Bai, seeing Shen Zhe's joyful demeanor, mistakenly assumed he had reconciled with Ai Jing. Shen Zhe teased him for bringing up a sensitive topic and for dating so secretively.
Wu Bai explained he just wanted to avoid interference and focus on his relationship with Ai Qing. The next morning at breakfast, Mr. Xiang announced a Suzhou day trip for everyone. Shen Zhe left to find Ai Jing, while Wu Bai secretly messaged Ai Qing to meet up. After they left, 97 overheard Mr. Xiang instructing a photographer to take many pictures of Wu Bai for the fans.
Realizing what was happening, 97 quickly woke Zhou Yi to help protect their captain. Wu Bai and Ai Qing walked hand-in-hand through a shopping mall, where Wu Bai bought her ice cream. Suddenly, a photographer aimed a camera at them, but 97 and Zhou Yi appeared just in time to block the shot, revealing Mr. Xiang's plan. As 97 and Zhou Yi created a diversion, Ai Qing twisted her ankle while running.
In pain, she tried to continue, but Wu Bai swiftly scooped her up. He then placed her in a shopping cart and pushed her to buy ice and snacks. After he iced her ankle, Ai Qing insisted she was fine, but seeing her still limp, he picked her up in his arms again, making her heart flutter.
