Following K&K's victory in the China Robot Combat Tournament's Suzhou Competition, the team gathered to congratulate Shen Zhe. Observing Ai Qing nearby, Wu Bai messaged her to invite her to dinner, a simple "OK" from her bringing a smile to his face. Later, in his room, Wu Bai meticulously selected outfits, seeking opinions from 97 and Shen Zhe. Distracted by their games, the two gave superficial answers, prompting Wu Bai to declare a "team meeting."
To their surprise, the meeting was merely for Wu Bai to choose among three black shirts for his date. While 97 saw little difference, Shen Zhe provided a thoughtful critique, suggesting the third shirt was perfect for the occasion. Thanking them, Wu Bai left, leaving 97 curious about his destination until Shen Zhe confirmed he was going on a date.
Wu Bai and Ai Qing settled down at a restaurant when Lin Yin, a friend Wu Bai had met during overseas competitions, approached. Lin Yin, who introduced himself as a quarter Chinese and a quarter French, playfully questioned if Ai Qing was Wu Bai's girlfriend, noting he had never seen Wu Bai on a date before. Ai Qing quickly denied it, insisting they were just friends.
Lin Yin then implied in French that she was indeed his girlfriend, to which Wu Bai responded that she was "not yet, but very soon." When Ai Qing asked what Lin Yin had said, Wu Bai feigned that he had merely complimented Suzhou's air quality. After dinner, Wu Bai and Ai Qing walked along a river when a person using a water gun accidentally sprayed Ai Qing, drenching her clothes.
The person profusely apologized, and Wu Bai immediately took off his jacket to give to her. Back at the hotel, Wu Bai asked 97 to boil water, then brought a hot drink and cold medicine to Ai Qing's room. Ai Qing, wearing a camisole under Wu Bai's jacket and drying her hair, opened the door expecting room service. Her towel slipped, causing a moment of embarrassment for both of them.
Wu Bai quickly apologized, handed her the items, and said he would wait for her at the Karaoke lounge. Ai Qing promised to change and meet him there soon. At the Karaoke lounge, Wu Bai anxiously watched the entrance. When Ai Qing arrived, Ou Qiang immediately pulled her towards Wang Hao's table. The three of them began singing a powerful song that seemed to transport Ai Qing back to her glorious past.
When Ai Qing left the private room, Wu Bai followed. Wang Hao called out to Wu Bai, remarking how nice it would have been if Han Shangyan, Wu Bai's cousin, were there, adding that Han still disliked crowded places after all these years. Ai Qing, washing her hands in the nearby restroom, was surprised to learn that Han Shangyan was related to Wu Bai. She approached them to confirm, and Wang Hao clarified that Wu Bai was Han Shangyan's cousin.
Overwhelmed, Ai Qing quickly excused herself and left the hotel. The name "Han Shangyan" instantly plunged her into painful memories of her former team's disbandment years ago, a day she wished to forget. She recalled Han Shangyan's anger, claiming they prioritized love over everything else. Despite Wang Hao's plea for her to stay and his offer to step down and let Han Shangyan take over, a tearful Ai Qing had resolved to quit after their final match.
Returning to the present, Ai Qing reflected on how Wu Bai, like her past self, now represented a team and carried the dreams of many. Wang Hao caught up to her, directly offering her the position of Team Leader for SP's Team No. 1. He expressed his desire to reunite their old colleagues to pursue a world championship. Wang Hao's words, tapping into her deep-seated passion, made her waver, and he gave her a week to consider.
Unbeknownst to them, Wu Bai overheard their conversation. He immediately messaged Ai Qing, apologizing for not revealing his familial connection to Han Shangyan sooner, explaining he feared reigniting her past pain over their team's breakup. Upon returning to Suzhou, Ai Qing's sister strongly encouraged her to rejoin the robot combat scene, urging her not to suppress her passion and to disregard any potential rumors concerning Wang Hao.
Ai Qing then sought out Slide, pressing him for the true reason behind his retirement. He confessed that he had injured his hand during a drunken fight with German teammates who had constantly belittled him, forcing his early retirement. When Ai Qing asked if he still yearned to compete, Slide admitted it was his dream. Soon after, Ai Qing called Wang Hao, accepting the position of Team Leader at SP.
She also used her new role to recommend someone with extensive experience and excellent mechanical skills, only for Wang Hao to confirm that Slide was already on their recruitment list. As she made this decision, Ai Qing felt a pang of heartbreak, realizing it meant a potential parting of ways with Wu Bai, a brilliant and talented young man who played for a rival team.
She resolved not to hinder his pursuit of his dreams, prioritizing his path over her personal feelings. Later, Ai Qing informed her father of her decision to resign and join SP as a Team Leader. Her father wholeheartedly supported her, encouraging her to pursue what she loved and promising to always be her strongest backup.
