Wen Xi confirmed her decision to marry Mu Yang, stating that her modeling career was less important than love, which she described as the food of life. She then asked Tong Xiaoyou about Lu Xingcheng. Xiaoyou explained that Lu Xingcheng was busy with his studio, constantly working with Jiang Yan.
Wen Xi, expressing her strong dislike for Jiang Yan and calling her a "bad woman," was surprised that Lu Xingcheng seemed to admire her and agreed with many of her views. Xiaoyou admitted that Lu Xingcheng often dismissed her ideas. Tong Xiaoyou then offered to design Wen Xi's wedding dress, an offer Wen Xi happily accepted.
Wen Xi expressed her hope that Lu Xingcheng would design Mu Yang's suit to help the two men reconcile, and Tong Xiaoyou promised to make it happen. On the wedding day, Wen Xi instructed the makeup artist to give Tong Xiaoyou a super beautiful, goddess-like look with big red lips, specifically to provoke Lu Xingcheng's jealousy, insisting that Xiaoyou's current exquisite look was not enough to achieve that. Meanwhile, Lu Xingcheng, scrolling through wedding updates on social media, deliberately took a detour to Tong Xiaoyou's parents' house for home cooking, saying he missed homemade food.
Tong's parents warmly welcomed him, with Tong's father proudly offering his signature Boiled Fish, describing it as having good color, smell, and taste. During their meal, Tong's mother received a video call from Wen Xi. Noticing Lu Xingcheng, Wen Xi mischievously mentioned that many handsome men at the wedding were asking for Tong Xiaoyou's number, implying that "everyone had a chance" at a wedding.
Lu Xingcheng, visibly uncomfortable and showing signs of his jealousy being overturned, abruptly announced he had forgotten something and left. Tong's mother, observing his dull reaction, concluded he was surely going to find Tong Xiaoyou. Tong's father complained of a stomachache, and his wife urged him to see a doctor. At the wedding venue, several unfamiliar men approached Tong Xiaoyou. Lu Xingcheng suddenly appeared, sweeping away her admirers and gently kissing her cheek, which delighted her.
He then reminded her of her drunken confession to him, where she had declared, "Lu Xingcheng, I really like you, I can't live without you. . . I really like you, I like you, I like you very very much, and I miss you." He then led Tong Xiaoyou to find Mu Yang, presenting him with the hand-made suit.
However, Mu Yang, still under the mistaken impression that Lu Xingcheng would not attend the wedding, threw the suit to the ground. Mu Yang countered, accusing Lu Xingcheng of mistaking being clever for naivety. The two childhood friends then engaged in a fierce physical altercation at the back of the banquet hall.
Song Ruru and Wen Xi, observing the fight, decided not to intervene, believing that the confrontation was necessary for them to truly clear the air and that "after they fight, it'll be fine." After the fight, the long-suppressed emotions between them were finally released, leaving both men feeling a sense of catharsis.
