> Count Your Lucky Stars Recap
Wen Xi celebrated her bachelor sisters' party with Tong Xiaoyou at Xiaoyou's home, enjoying a barbecue. Wen Xi confirmed her decision to marry Mu Yang, stating that her modeling career was less important than love, which she described as the food of life. She then asked Tong Xiaoyou about Lu Xingcheng. Xiaoyou explained that Lu Xingcheng was busy with his studio, constantly working with Jiang Yan.
Wen Xi, expressing her strong dislike for Jiang Yan and calling her a "bad woman," was surprised that Lu Xingcheng seemed to admire her and agreed with many of her views. Xiaoyou admitted that Lu Xingcheng often dismissed her ideas. Tong Xiaoyou then offered to design Wen Xi's wedding dress, an offer Wen Xi happily accepted.
Wen Xi expressed her hope that Lu Xingcheng would design Mu Yang's suit to help the two men reconcile, and Tong Xiaoyou promised to make it happen. Later, a visibly drunk Tong Xiaoyou found Lu Xingcheng and informed him of Wen Xi and Mu Yang's upcoming flash marriage. Lu Xingcheng dismissed it as an impulse, reminiscing about his childhood with Mu Yang. He recalled drawing a portrait of Mu Yang without permission when they were young.
Mu Yang, a cool boy, questioned why he drew him without permission. Lu Xingcheng explained it as a "meeting gift," and after giving gifts, they would be inseparable friends. Mu Yang, in turn, offered to share his ball and play together. Tong Xiaoyou realized they were childhood friends, Liang Xiao Wu Gu, and criticized men for not being proactive. She formally asked Lu Xingcheng to design Mu Yang's wedding suit.
Lu Xingcheng, saying one thing but meaning another, initially refused, claiming he hadn't received an invitation and Mu Yang wouldn't wear his design anyway. However, a flashback to their university days showed Mu Yang eagerly offering to be Lu Xingcheng's first model, asking him to design a suit that highlighted his unique characteristics as a special gift to prove their good relationship, something he could proudly show off to friends.
This memory revealed Lu Xingcheng's true desire to design for Mu Yang. Meanwhile, Mu Yang and Wen Xi were at a bridal shop, with Wen Xi trying on dresses, including one with a three-meter tail. Mu Yang, distracted, was writing wedding invitations and pondering why he couldn't speak calmly with Lu Xingcheng.
Song Ruru received Wen Xi's wedding invitation and, feeling annoyed after seeing Leopard Brother posing with other women at his shop, reluctantly invited him to the wedding, asking him if he had time. Leopard Brother agreed, stating he was available and curious to hear how she would explain their relationship. At Lu Xingcheng's design studio, Tong Xiaoyou was searching for his old design drafts for Mu Yang.
Lu Xingcheng found her, and she explained her intention to help, thinking he'd be busy designing for Wen Xi's wedding. Lu Xingcheng reiterated that he hadn't agreed to design anything and hadn't received an invitation letter. Jiang Yan called, prompting Tong Xiaoyou to leave awkwardly. Mu Yang was mesmerized by Wen Xi in her wedding dress, thinking they were a perfect match. Wen Xi noticed his somber mood and correctly guessed he was troubled by Lu Xingcheng.
Mu Yang lamented that Lu Xingcheng had never kept his promises, dismissing the idea of a custom suit as a joke. Wen Xi urged him to talk to Lu Xingcheng, telling him that Lu Xingcheng had silently endured and protected him over the years, despite her own feelings of jealousy. Wen Xi then excitedly suggested taking wedding photos immediately. Concurrently, Lu Yanzhi's company was facing a crisis with a new project.
Amidst board debates, one director highlighted the company's poor image public relations and the project's rough progress, recommending a timely stop to prevent further problems. Another praised Lu Yanzhi's vigorous past leadership, suggesting they go all out with the new project, believing it might lead to a turnaround. Lu Yanzhi ultimately decided to inform the finance department to do an analysis and budget, temporarily halting the new project, promising to analyze specific issues in detail once the results were in.
The day before the wedding, Wen Xi and Tong Xiaoyou chatted. Wen Xi commented on becoming a married woman, with Tong Xiaoyou expressing sentimental feelings as if marrying off her own daughter. Wen Xi then pressed Tong Xiaoyou about her relationship with Lu Xingcheng, to which Tong Xiaoyou replied that Jiang Yan remained a "big mountain" between them.
Wen Xi, calling Jiang Yan a "stinky woman" and a "bad woman," optimistically declared, "Jealousy is a shortcut to love," and vowed to overturn Lu Xingcheng's "vinegar jar" at the wedding to boost their relationship. Tong Xiaoyou, however, was worried she couldn't persuade Lu Xingcheng to attend or design Mu Yang's suit, apologizing for the potential disappointment. Wen Xi refused to accept this, confident that Lu Xingcheng would show up for Tong Xiaoyou.
Wen Xi personally delivered a wedding invitation, written by Mu Yang, to Lu Xingcheng. She sincerely apologized for past events, acknowledging that she owed him an apology and expressing gratitude. She admitted "out of control" felt like a false excuse and that she knew he disliked hearing it, but clarified that regardless of circumstances, she should not have involved him. Lu Xingcheng simply stated, "The past is over."
Wen Xi urged him to talk with Mu Yang, questioning why he could forgive her but not Mu Yang, who had never harmed him, calling them both less decisive than a woman. She insisted he must attend the wedding. After Wen Xi left, Lu Xingcheng unveiled a mannequin, revealing the custom-designed suit he had made for Mu Yang.
On the wedding day, Wen Xi instructed the makeup artist to give Tong Xiaoyou a super beautiful, goddess-like look with big red lips, specifically to provoke Lu Xingcheng's jealousy, insisting that Xiaoyou's current exquisite look was not enough to achieve that. Meanwhile, Lu Xingcheng, scrolling through wedding updates on social media, deliberately took a detour to Tong Xiaoyou's parents' house for home cooking, saying he missed homemade food.
Tong's parents warmly welcomed him, with Tong's father proudly offering his signature Boiled Fish, describing it as having good color, smell, and taste. During their meal, Tong's mother received a video call from Wen Xi. Noticing Lu Xingcheng, Wen Xi mischievously mentioned that many handsome men at the wedding were asking for Tong Xiaoyou's number, implying that "everyone had a chance" at a wedding.
Lu Xingcheng, visibly uncomfortable and showing signs of his jealousy being overturned, abruptly announced he had forgotten something and left. Tong's mother, observing his dull reaction, concluded he was surely going to find Tong Xiaoyou. Tong's father complained of a stomachache, and his wife urged him to see a doctor. At the wedding venue, several unfamiliar men approached Tong Xiaoyou. Lu Xingcheng suddenly appeared, sweeping away her admirers and gently kissing her cheek, which delighted her.
He then reminded her of her drunken confession to him, where she had declared, "Lu Xingcheng, I really like you, I can't live without you. . . I really like you, I like you, I like you very very much, and I miss you." He then led Tong Xiaoyou to find Mu Yang, presenting him with the hand-made suit.
However, Mu Yang, still under the mistaken impression that Lu Xingcheng would not attend the wedding, threw the suit to the ground. Mu Yang scornfully told Lu Xingcheng he didn't want his "torn clothes," asserting that he was rich and didn't need his designs. He accused Lu Xingcheng of being the most selfish person, always getting his way, making him advance or retreat, and treating him as he pleased.
Lu Xingcheng retorted, asking if a selfish person would even be there, calling Mu Yang immature and mistaking self-righteousness for maturity. Mu Yang countered, accusing Lu Xingcheng of mistaking being clever for naivety. The two childhood friends then engaged in a fierce physical altercation at the back of the banquet hall.
Song Ruru and Wen Xi, observing the fight, decided not to intervene, believing that the confrontation was necessary for them to truly clear the air and that "after they fight, it'll be fine." After the fight, the long-suppressed emotions between them were finally released, leaving both men feeling a sense of catharsis.
