Everyone only saw Dongfang Qingcang drink that cup of wine, but no one noticed that he quietly spit it out. The pain Orchid suffered in the Fuju Cave was completely replicated in him. Because for him, since he had already decided to be husband and wife with Orchid, they must share life and death, honor and disgrace. Even if he couldn't bear the pain for Orchid, how could he let her suffer alone?

Meanwhile, Rong Hao blamed the deaths of the three thousand soldiers entirely on the Moon Tribe, deepening the hatred between the Immortals and the Moon Tribe, and the two sides were on the verge of war. Lord Changheng knew the truth, and furiously went to the prison to question Rong Hao.

But he also understood that war with the Moon Tribe was inevitable, and the matter of the three thousand soldiers was merely an excuse Lord Yunzhong needed. To his surprise, Jie Li accepted. Jie Li gave a dowry to Orchid and cleared all past debts between them. Orchid found it strange and went to Shang Que to inquire. Unexpectedly, she learned Jie Li had agreed to his proposal.

Suddenly, Orchid understood — Jie Li had no parents or family since childhood, and had always been alone, which was why she used to count every penny. But now, it was different. She had friends and would soon have a home of her own, so she no longer cared about money. Dongfang Qingcang hurried to see Orchid, but she seemed like a different person. When she saw him approach, she turned slowly and walked toward him.

But her aura, tone of voice, every expression and movement — none of it was like the Orchid he knew. Dongfang Qingcang was confused as to why Orchid had changed so much. Unexpectedly, she grew even stranger, having lost her former innocence and sweetness. Only then did Dongfang Qingcang realize the person before him was not the Orchid he missed so dearly. He grabbed her hand and questioned her identity. Xun Feng suddenly arrived to report urgent matters.

But a murderous gleam rose in Orchid's eyes as she prepared to strike him. Fortunately, Dongfang Qingcang sensed it in time and stopped her. After some investigation, he finally understood that a strand of the Chidi Women’s primordial spirit was within the Bone Orchid. But to remove the Bone Orchid would mean Orchid's death — and due to the Heart-binding Curse, Dongfang Qingcang would die with her.

Xun Feng told him that the Chengying Sword had been reforged, and as long as Orchid took her own life, Dongfang Qingcang would be safe. Dongfang Qingcang ordered Xun Feng to hand over the sword, but for the sake of Dongfang Qingcang and the entire Moon Tribe, Xun Feng refused his brother’s order. Die Yi found Liyuan and told him the truth of that year. Back then, Xingluo gave birth to twin daughters.

Liyuan took Dan Yin away, while Xingluo died during her escape. The Lord of Haishi took the other girl and raised her. Die Yi used this truth to threaten Liyuan, forcing him to bring Rong Hao out of Du Yeyuan. Now that Die Yi knew Shang Que was the one Jie Li cared about, she used him to coerce her into taking Orchid out of Cangyan Sea. No sooner had Die Yi left than Shang Que happily arrived.

He had planned to buy sweet pastries for Jie Li, but the treat he carried carefully in his chest was smashed to crumbs. Lately, Shang Que often felt a weight in his chest — perhaps because everything seemed too perfect to be real. The Immortals were already at the gates. How could the Moon Tribe elders just stand by? With Xun Feng fanning the flames, the entire Moon Tribe was determined to fight back.
