> Love Between Fairy and Devil Recap

Changheng, confronted by Lord Yunzhong at the Memory Loss River, refuses to return to Shuiyuntian. Lord Yunzhong presses him, asking if his repeated defiance of celestial rules is due to Xiao Lanhua. Changheng openly admits his love for her, asserting his only desire is to save the one he cares for.

Unmoved, Lord Yunzhong condemns Changheng as a sinner for breaking into the Spirit Lock Gate and colluding with Moon Tribe spies, immediately stripping him of his title as God of War and imprisoning him in the Haotian Tower. Late that night, Shang Que encounters Jieli wandering alone. He questions her presence, and she feigns terror, claiming she'd been scared earlier and couldn't sleep.

She laments her fate as an orphan, who, after being cheated by Xiao Lanhua, sought refuge only to face hostility. Jieli recounts how she survived a dangerous encounter by pretending to be fooled, then drugging her captors to facilitate her escape. Shang Que, also an orphan, reveals his own tragic past; people often feigned kindness only to exploit him for his dragon bone and skin, a fate from which the Moon Supreme rescued him.

Shang Que declares his intent to be the most trustworthy and honest person. Jieli mocks him, calling him foolish for retaining such sincerity despite his suffering, asserting that people would only trample on his kindness. She confesses her own cold-blooded nature, preferring to cheat others rather than be cheated, as nothing is more important than her own life and money.

Shang Que condemns her views as ridiculous, but Jieli retorts that there is no clear right or wrong in the world. Annoyed by her cynicism, Shang Que orders her back to her room, warning her not to be found wandering again. The Moon Supreme is informed of Jieli's escape to the Silent Moon Palace and orders guards to maintain a watch. Meanwhile, Xiao Lanhua seeks out Jieli to apologize, offering her the Bone Orchid Dongfang Qingcang gave her.

Xiao Lanhua explains that the Bone Orchid, formed from the Moon Supreme's heart blood, functions as if he himself were present, ensuring safe passage. Jieli accepts the Bone Orchid but still insists Xiao Lanhua escort her out of the Ninth Youxian County, fearing the treasure alone isn't sufficient. Xiao Lanhua agrees but worries that her mind link with Dongfang Qingcang, if he's not wearing the You Jade Ring, might alert him to her anxiety and endanger Jieli.

Jieli then provides her unique heart-hidden hairpin, claiming it will prevent Dongfang Qingcang from sensing Xiao Lanhua's thoughts. She explains its ancient origins: Yannv, the Moon Tribe's ancestor, crafted it after her heartbreak over the Fairies' betrayal of her lover Chonghua, to prevent him from sensing her feelings. It is the only artifact besides the You Jade Ring capable of completely concealing one's emotions. Xiao Lanhua, wearing the hairpin, successfully passes the palace guards with Jieli.

However, they soon encounter a woman from Haishi City. Xiao Lanhua quickly gives the Bone Orchid to Jieli, urging her to flee, and bravely takes responsibility for possessing the Destiny Book. At this very moment, Dongfang Qingcang feels a sharp pain in his hand, observing a fresh wound. As the woman from Haishi City approaches the fallen Destiny Book, her magical artifact shatters. Suddenly, a figure who appears to be Changheng arrives, shielding and rescuing Xiao Lanhua.

When Xiao Lanhua regains consciousness, she finds herself in what she believes is the Arbiter Hall in Shuiyuntian, with "Changheng" by her side. She expresses relief that the Destiny Book is now in his possession and explains that Dongfang Qingcang brought her to Cangyan Sea to repair it, a book whose mysterious power both he and the people of Haishi City sought. " Changheng" confirms the Destiny Book is damaged and its secrets can only be revealed once repaired.

Despite her recent ordeal, Xiao Lanhua insists on beginning repairs immediately, eager to uncover the truth and clear her name. It is then revealed that the "Changheng" with Xiao Lanhua is Rong Hao in disguise. He boasts that his deception ensures Xiao Lanhua is willingly repairing the Destiny Book. However, he is alerted to Dongfang Qingcang's arrival in Haishi City.

As Dongfang Qingcang confronts him, Rong Hao, as the Lord of Haishi City, reveals he is holding Xiao Lanhua within a multi-layered illusion, confident that Dongfang Qingcang cannot break through it in time. He orders his subordinates to delay the Moon Supreme, emphasizing that Xiao Lanhua must not discover the deception before the Destiny Book is repaired. Within the illusion, Xiao Lanhua successfully repairs the Destiny Book, discovering a mortal name, Xie Wanqing, inscribed within.

This, connected to the Moon Tribe Slaying Festival, visibly disturbs her. The fake Changheng immediately requests the Destiny Book. Xiao Lanhua hesitates, explaining she was imprisoned by Dongfang Qingcang and couldn't reply to Changheng's previous messages, asking if he was angry. The fake Changheng denies anger, claiming only worry. Xiao Lanhua's suspicion is confirmed; she realizes he is not the real Changheng and tries to flee.

The imposter admits his deception and uses evil spirit to trap her within the illusionary Arbiter Hall. As the Lord of Haishi City attempts to flee, Dongfang Qingcang, having swiftly broken through the illusion, arrives just in time. Xiao Lanhua, seizing the moment, reclaims the Destiny Book. Dongfang Qingcang attempts to unmask the Lord of Haishi City, but Dieyi, the woman from Haishi City, suddenly arrives and attacks Xiao Lanhua. Dongfang Qingcang quickly intervenes, protecting Xiao Lanhua.

At the Transformation Grounds, Dongfang Qingcang angrily confronts Xiao Lanhua for running off, reminding her that he forbade her from leaving his sight. He stresses the danger she put herself in, saying she would have died had he been a moment later. Xiao Lanhua defends herself, explaining she didn't intend to escape but merely wanted to help Jieli, and reiterates her promise to fix his Love Tree.

Dongfang Qingcang firmly reasserts his command: she must inform him of her whereabouts at all times and stay within his sight. Xiao Lanhua agrees. She then observes that the perpetual fog and snow of Haishi City have vanished, realizing Dongfang Qingcang must have destroyed the Soul Transformation Cauldron, which previously condensed the grief and despair of the deceased into evil spirit.

She proudly presents the now-repaired Destiny Book, explaining she finished it quickly because the Lord of Haishi City, disguised as Changheng, tricked her. Dongfang Qingcang teases her about her newfound motivation when it involved Changheng, but Xiao Lanhua explains she uncovered the deception because a wooden stand Dongfang Qingcang had previously broken in her real Arbiter Hall appeared perfectly intact in the illusion, a detail only they would know.

She then asks how he found her so quickly amidst the myriad illusions, to which Dongfang Qingcang confidently replies he would find her instantly even if she were hidden among thousands of identical orchids, and warns her again not to run. Overwhelmed with emotion, Xiao Lanhua almost confesses her feelings to Dongfang Qingcang, but faints before she can finish. Dongfang Qingcang carries her away.

Meanwhile, Dieyi brings a gravely injured Rong Hao to a mountain cave, seeking the help of the Evil God Tai Sui. Tai Sui expresses amusement that Dongfang Qingcang could injure Rong Hao. Rong Hao, in gratitude for being saved, promises to bring the reincarnation of the fairy Xi Yun to the Spirit-Shattering Abyss to help Tai Sui break free. Xiao Lanhua awakens in a hunting camp and observes that most of the hunters are women.

Dongfang Qingcang offers her food and teases her about being "useless" for fainting after fixing the Destiny Book. He then notices the heart-hidden hairpin she is wearing. He identifies it as an ancient Moon Tribe artifact crafted by Yannv and orders her to remove it. Xiao Lanhua refuses, claiming it's a borrowed item and her personal property.

She staunchly refuses to let Dongfang Qingcang know her every thought and emotion, asserting that people deserve their secrets and that he cannot intrude into her mind without permission, even as the Moon Supreme. Dongfang Qingcang argues that knowing her thoughts helps him protect her, especially since the hairpin almost cost her her life. But Xiao Lanhua insists on her right to privacy, declaring that the past is different from the present.
