Age of Legends Episode 46 Recap
> Age of Legends Recap
Through the efforts of Hu Yuejin, Chinese police were granted permission to enter M Country to collaborate with M Country police in a joint effort to dismantle Sangbo's drug trafficking cartel. This decision followed earlier deductions by Hu Rong and Han Jin, who suspected that a series of fabricated evidence, including an incomplete video, a manipulated bank account, and a fake tattoo, had been designed to mislead the police into believing Liu Ziguang was Sangbo.
Han Jin further theorized that Nie Wanfeng might be the real Sangbo. These suspicions were reinforced by Liu Ziguang himself, who had recently regained memories of being an informant trained by Huang Zhenwu, and by the M Country police's recent arrest of Wanka, an officer who confessed to being bribed by Nie Wanfeng to provide internal police intelligence.
Wanka's testimony revealed Nie Wanfeng, operating under the alias Ye Wanglong, as a major drug lord and the provider of "Angel" drugs, whose subordinates were responsible for A-Se's death and Li Jianguo's kidnapping. These revelations clarified Liu Ziguang's motive for leaving Jiangbei with Nie Wanfeng: he intended to expose Nie Wanfeng, prove his own innocence, and rescue Li Jianguo. With M Country police having identified the drug cartel's base but lacking sufficient manpower, they requested Interpol's assistance.
Hu Yuejin promptly sought and received approval for an international collaboration with M Country police to save Li Jianguo, apprehend Nie Wanfeng, and uncover the full truth about Liu Ziguang. He then briefed his officers, stressing their mission to eradicate Sangbo's drug cartel and uphold China's zero-tolerance stance on drugs. Meanwhile, at the boxing gym, Zhuo Li was agitated, convinced that Liu Ziguang had gone to M Country to rescue Li Jianguo.
He insisted on accompanying Bei Xiaoshuai to M Country. However, Bei Xiaoshuai prevented him, cautioning him against going to M Country, reminding him that A-Se had died there and Li Jianguo had been kidnapped. Bei Xiaoshuai emphasized that they would only be a hindrance to Liu Ziguang and should instead manage Truly Authentic, Sunshine Sand Quarry, and the construction supply company, and wait for Liu Ziguang's safe return.
He then hugged Zhuo Li, reassuring him that Liu Ziguang would definitely come back unharmed. Unaware of the coordinated police action, Liu Ziguang walked through the streets of Mengzhuo. He arrived at the small pub he once knew, finding its door boarded shut. Memories flooded his mind, reminding him of his past with Huang Zhenwu and A-Se. He recalled Huang Zhenwu offering him and A-Se a place to stay and work, considering the pub their home.
Liu Ziguang had introduced himself as Guangzi. He remembered a birthday celebration for Huang Zhenwu's daughter, where Huang Zhenwu revealed his true identity as a Chinese drug enforcement officer on an important mission. Huang Zhenwu had then asked Liu Ziguang to become his informant, to infiltrate the drug trafficking base and rejoin his "brother" to help dismantle the organization, a request Liu Ziguang accepted.
Huang Zhenwu had expressed his concern for Liu Ziguang's safety, telling him he regarded him as his own son and would take him back to Jiangbei to meet his daughter once the mission was complete. Elsewhere, Nie Wanfeng and Hu were on the run. Hu questioned why Nie Wanfeng hadn't brought Liu Ziguang directly to the base, instead sending him to the pub.
Nie Wanfeng explained that Liu Ziguang had recently sought his help to leave the country and mentioned having $100,000,000 in an account, suggesting he had accessed it and likely recovered most of his memories. Nie Wanfeng believed the pub held significant memories for Liu Ziguang, and by sending him there, he would fully regain them, leaving nothing for Nie Wanfeng to hide. Hu then inquired about Li Jianguo, who was still being held captive.
Nie Wanfeng stated that the future of their brotherhood would soon be revealed. Nie Wanfeng later drove to the town and found Liu Ziguang sitting by the pub. Observing Liu Ziguang, Nie Wanfeng concluded that he had remembered everything, including the way to the base. He invited Liu Ziguang to return to the base with him, adding that Li Jianguo was eagerly awaiting him. Liu Ziguang took the keys and drove them to the drug factory base.
During the journey, Liu Ziguang's mind raced with memories of being forced into Colby's organization and getting a tattoo. He initially resisted, but Colby threatened him. Nie Wanfeng, then, had brought him water, encouraging him to apologize to Colby and assuring him that he could get rich quickly by working with Colby as he himself had.
Upon their arrival at the base, Nie Wanfeng expressed his joy at their return, asserting that they were both "bad guys" who had killed and trafficked drugs, making any return to Jiangbei impossible. He reiterated his promise to make Liu Ziguang rich in M Country and affirmed their bond, saying, "What's mine is yours." Liu Ziguang responded by demanding Li Jianguo's release in exchange for the black gold account password.
Nie Wanfeng readily agreed, stating the money was always theirs and that he would comply with Liu Ziguang's request. They entered the Angel research and development center, which Liu Ziguang recognized as an upgraded version of the one he knew. Nie Wanfeng ordered Li Jianguo to be brought to them. A battered and injured Li Jianguo was led in. Liu Ziguang handed him a phone, instructing him to call him once he reached a safe location.
After Li Jianguo left, Hu placed a laptop in front of Liu Ziguang, prompting him for the black gold account password. However, Liu Ziguang stated he had questions for Nie Wanfeng first. Liu Ziguang then began to interrogate Nie Wanfeng. He first asked why Nie Wanfeng hadn't revealed his true identity when they first met in Jiangbei, after Liu Ziguang had saved Nie Wanfeng's son.
Nie Wanfeng reminded Liu Ziguang that he had commented on Liu Ziguang's resemblance to an old buddy, but Liu Ziguang at the time had no memories. Liu Ziguang then confirmed that Nie Wanfeng was the true boss, to which Nie Wanfeng clarified that he became the boss after Colby's death, but "money" was the ultimate boss. Just then, Li Jianguo called Liu Ziguang, confirming his safe escape.
Liu Ziguang continued his questioning, asking why Nie Wanfeng had used his name, Sangbo, to traffic drugs. Nie Wanfeng explained that he had instructed his subordinates that Liu Ziguang was his brother, and "he is me, I am him," thus justifying the use of Liu Ziguang's name for business dealings. Liu Ziguang then questioned the disappearance of Nie Wanfeng's tattoo, which they had supposedly gotten together.
Nie Wanfeng revealed it was a mere fake skin patch, a "cheap trick" that had even deceived Officer Hu (Hu Rong). Liu Ziguang's final question was how Nie Wanfeng had known about the police presence during the meeting in international waters. Nie Wanfeng attributed the tip-off to Hu. Liu Ziguang then delivered a shocking revelation: he was the one who had transmitted that police report. Nie Wanfeng dismissed this as impossible.
Liu Ziguang then declared that he did not kill Huang Zhenwu, pointing to another drug dealer and stating that the man was the actual killer. The drug dealer confessed, explaining he had kept silent because Huang Zhenwu had once given him water, saving his life. Enraged, Nie Wanfeng claimed that "he" was the one who had given the man that "damned water," not Huang Zhenwu.
In a fit of fury, Nie Wanfeng shot the drug dealer multiple times, killing him instantly. Nie Wanfeng then turned his gun on Liu Ziguang. Liu Ziguang, acting swiftly, disarmed him. As other drug dealers swarmed forward, aiming their weapons at Liu Ziguang, a walkie-talkie on one of the dealers suddenly blared, signaling the approaching police. Liu Ziguang seized the moment, fighting his way out.
Police sirens blared loudly as police cars streamed into the drug trafficking base, immediately engaging in a fierce gun battle with the drug dealers. Nie Wanfeng and his men cornered Liu Ziguang against a wall, but Li Jianguo burst in with an assault rifle, pushing back the drug dealers. Seeing the tide turn, Nie Wanfeng grabbed his phone and laptop from a table, preparing for a hasty escape.
