Young Blood Episode 15 Recap
> Young Blood Recap
Zhao Jian handed Chen Gong over to Jing, instructing Jing to take him back to the Secret Repository while she returned to the bathhouse to rescue Yuan Zhongxin. Upon her return, however, Zhao Jian found Yuan Zhongxin comfortably chatting with the girls of the Secret Repository. Seeing this, she left him to his own devices and returned to Section 7.
Yuan Zhongxin, still in his disheveled female disguise, managed to resolve the situation by falsely claiming that he and Zhao Jian were on a date. He safely returned to Section 7, where his appearance prompted the other members to burst into laughter. Afterward, Yuan Zhongxin, Wang Kuan, and Zhao Jian discussed Chen Gong's situation. They decided to have Chen Gong draw the blueprints for the wheeled cannons.
Their reasoning was that even if something were to happen to Chen Gong later, they would at least possess the valuable drawing. Keeping Chen Gong's presence in Section 7 a secret was paramount. As the group headed to the main hall for class, Zhao Jian expressed concern about leaving Chen Gong alone in the girls' courtyard, but Yuan Zhongxin reassured her. During class, the members passed notes, which eventually reached Wang Kuan.
As the section leader, Wang Kuan confiscated the note, refusing to participate in their games. However, the others persisted, throwing more notes at him. Instructor Yue discovered their antics, dismissing Wang Kuan early and ordering the rest of them to clean the courtyard before they could leave. While cleaning, they wondered where Wang Kuan had put their note. Yuan Zhongxin later revealed that Wang Kuan had held onto the note, protecting their secret.
He explained that Wang Kuan had indeed helped them by hiding the important note from the instructor. The Privy Council had grown suspicious about Chen Gong's disappearance and ordered a thorough investigation of all institutions in Kaifeng, including the Secret Repository. This directive came from Grand Commandant Wei Zhuoran. After deliberation, the Section 7 members decided that Wei Yanei should take responsibility for Chen Gong.
They reasoned that since it was Wei Yanei's father who issued the order causing them so much trouble, it was fitting for Wei Yanei to handle Chen Gong. Returning to the Section 7 courtyard, the group was horrified to find it utterly wrecked by Chen Gong. Furious, they collectively beat him. Chen Gong, startled, asked if this was their base.
He realized that the academy, with its yards, bathrooms, and dormitories, resembled his Crossbow Workshop, implying it was a secure location. He was told he wouldn't be free until he completed the wheeled cannon drawing. Later, Lu Guannian summoned Wang Kuan, mentioning that Section 7 had a mix of good and bad students and advised Wang Kuan to be more observant and supervise the members closely.
A surprise inspection was conducted at the Secret Repository, led by Liu Sheng, a senior student from Section 5 who was known to be at odds with Section 7 members but had a soft spot for Zhao Jian. Yuan Zhongxin planned to hide Chen Gong under a bed board and sent Zhao Jian and Jing to distract Liu Sheng outside. After successfully hiding Chen Gong, the Section 7 members opened their door for Liu Sheng.
Liu Sheng and Wei Yanei quickly got into an argument, prompting Xue Ying to defend Wei Yanei and demand an apology from Liu Sheng. Liu Sheng, being a Secret Repository member, refused to apologize, and Xue Ying was powerless to stop his arrogant behavior. After searching both the boys' and girls' dormitories, Liu Sheng discovered a large box inside Section 7's room. He found the box suspicious, but Zhao Jian quickly claimed it was hers.
Liu Sheng ordered the box opened, only to find it filled with Zhao Jian's personal undergarments and sweat towels. After Liu Sheng left, Yuan Zhongxin revealed that Chen Gong had been hidden inside the box all along. Embarrassed and indignant, Zhao Jian took her belongings, allowing Chen Gong to emerge. Lu Guannian assembled all Section 7 members, informing them that their mission to escort the crossbow technician had failed and that the Imperial Guards would interrogate them about the details.
He stressed that they must present themselves as ordinary Secret Repository students to the Imperial Guards. After their interrogation, Yuan Zhongxin believed it was merely a test, and that one of the three officials who questioned them was the traitor they had previously encountered. Zhao Jian and Yuan Zhongxin were the first to finish their questioning.
Zhao Jian reminded Yuan Zhongxin of the three conditions he had agreed to earlier and demanded that he return to the Secret Repository immediately to steal Wang Kuan's small wooden box, which contained her birth details. She promised to find a way to stall Wang Kuan. As they left the government office, Zhao Jian deliberately damaged their carriage, forcing the group to walk back. This gave her a chance to briefly detain Wang Kuan.
Meanwhile, Chen Gong, still intent on escaping the Secret Repository, once again disguised himself in female attire and returned to the bathhouse exit. However, he was recognized by the girls there and subjected to a severe beating.
