Xing Kelei cooked soup and waited for Mi Ka to come home, but she had to cover a night shift. Remembering what Shu Wenbo said, he took the soup to Xing Keyao. Seeing him show up suddenly, Xing Keyao guessed Mi Ka must be on duty at the hospital or that they had a fight. Xing Kelei sighed, saying they hadn’t even had time alone recently, let alone to argue.
Xing Keyao said it was a good thing Mi Ka had been transferred back to the emergency department; otherwise, she’d be even busier. She mentioned that doctors at Allen Medical Center were insanely busy, with only one day off a week. But those who came from there were highly sought after by hospitals in China. After listening, Xing Kelei sighed and then brought up the idea of proposing to Mi Ka.
