Shangguan Qin ordered Hu Si to guard the raccoon cat and Chen Shi well, saying that solving the recent series of homicides would finally give the court an explanation, otherwise, the Court of Judicial Review would not be secure. The unconscious Chen Shi was dragged out of prison by the raccoon cat. When he woke up the next morning, he found himself lying in a dilapidated study.

Wang Qi was dragged by Alibaba and Sun Bao to a fortune-telling stall to have his fortune told. He unintentionally discovered the woven basket Chen Shi had left behind and began searching in the vicinity.
