Liu Xiuwen refused, urging her to take the antidote herself and return to Qi Yu to lead.
Su Yi Yi argued that they had both been burdened by Qi Yu their entire lives, never truly living for themselves. She declared her intention to travel with him until he was ready to accept her help. Challenging her to keep up, Liu Xiuwen rode off, with Su Yi Yi confidently following. Later, Zhong Wumei and Lin Luojing celebrated their wedding.

Su Yi Yi, expressing her wish to continue their journey to an unknown place, away from the burdens of Sheng Jing and Qi Yu, to live a simple life, sat by a lake with Liu Xiuwen. He rested his head on Su Yi Yi's shoulder and passed away peacefully.
Su Yi Yi wept, remembering his earlier words about being poisoned for a long time and knowing how to detoxify himself, and his wish that if she ever missed him, she should look at the stars, hoping she would forgive him for no longer being able to protect her, reflecting that he might have met the right person at the wrong time.
Later, in the Prince's mansion courtyard, Lin Luojing, leaning into Zhong Wumei's embrace, asked if he had known Liu Xiuwen had no antidote. Zhong Wumei replied that it was Liu Xiuwen's choice, and they must respect it.
