Lin Luojing decided that hatred could not solve problems and that violence would only lead to an endless cycle. Even if she killed Jin Chen, it would not bring back those who were lost, so she chose to rescue them. The system congratulated her on the correct choice, explaining that revenge would lead to Sheng Jing's destruction and a tragic ending. It granted her a special item for one more rewind opportunity to a major turning point in the plot.
However, if she still reached a tragic ending, she would be permanently trapped in the system. Lin Luojing confirmed her understanding and chose to return. She found herself back in Jin Chen's prison, once again afflicted by poison. Utilizing a small hammer, a system-given item, she knocked out the person delivering her meal and escaped. While making her way out, she overheard guards discussing the capture of two Tian Yi Clique masters.
Suspecting Hua Yingchi, she located another dungeon and successfully freed Hua Yingchi and Hua Yingyun. Lin Luojing then asked Hua Yingchi about Jin Chen’s connection to the Tian Yi Clique and why Jin Chen resembled Master so closely. Hua Yingchi revealed that Master had a wife during his cultivating years but chose to abandon love for the path of Taoism, thereby creating a karmic debt.
Master prophesied that a resentful descendant would return for revenge, jeopardizing both the Tian Yi Clique and innocent civilians. He explained that his and Hua Yingxue’s adoption was fated, as Hua Yingxue was destined to be a guardian of the Tian Yi Clique alongside him. Master also foretold that Hua Yingchi would be caught in a 'love and death' trial.
Realizing she was the pivotal person, Lin Luojing decided to remain in the prison and urged Hua Yingchi and Hua Yingyun to leave first, using their "departing form technique" to recover their energy, which had been depleted by an immortal-binding rope. Before they left, Lin Luojing also asked Hua Yingchi to find Jiang Xuanyu. Soon after, Lin Luojing was recaptured by Su Yiyi.
Lin Luojing attempted to persuade Su Yiyi that Jin Chen was merely exploiting her and Liu Xiuwen, urging her not to be blinded by hatred. She then gave Su Yiyi a letter written by Liu Xiuwen's master, asking her to deliver it to Liu Xiuwen so he could understand the truth and reconsider siding with Jin Chen. Alone in her cell, Lin Luojing reflected on the system's "three conditions" for reversing the tragic outcome.
She noted that rescuing Hua Yingchi was one condition met, and Hua Yingchi saving Jiang Xuanyu was another. She realized the final condition was for Liu Xiuwen to read the letter and release his hatred. Later, Liu Xiuwen arrived at her cell and, claiming he was no longer her obedient guard but the Prince of Qi Yu, haughtily gave her an antidote. Lin Luojing expressed concern for his own well-being, knowing he needed the antidote too.
She urged him to take it, warning that Jin Chen would otherwise manipulate him through the poison. Liu Xiuwen dismissed her worries and left her cell. Su Yiyi eventually gave the letter to Liu Xiuwen. After Liu Xiuwen read the letter, the last light on Lin Luojing's system display turned on. The next day, as Jin Chen prepared to force Liu Xiuwen and Zhong Wumei into a deadly duel, the scene shifted to the actual confrontation.
Jin Chen attempted to control Liu Xiuwen through the poison, but to his surprise, Liu Xiuwen resisted. Liu Xiuwen revealed he had read the letter, which exposed Jin Chen's father as the true perpetrator of the Qi Yu clan's demise, framing the Zhong family and leading to years of misguided hatred. He accused Jin Chen of hiding the truth and exploiting their desire for revenge to further his own ambitions.
Just as the tension escalated, Hua Yingchi and Jiang Xuanyu arrived, saving Lin Luojing and the others. Jin Chen, in desperation, produced a Crystal Bead, threatening to destroy it. Lin Luojing quickly cut Zhong Wumei's finger and smeared his blood on her shoulder, causing a second Crystal Bead, the Yin bead, to appear. Hua Yingchi then disarmed Jin Chen, taking his Crystal Bead, the Yang bead, and gave it to Lin Luojing.
Hua Yingchi explained that the Crystal Beads, sacred artifacts of the Tian Yi Clique, were originally meant for peace and prosperity, not for evil deeds. Defeated and in disbelief, Jin Chen collapsed. He attempted to commit suicide, but Su Yiyi intervened and stopped him. Considering Jin Chen was Master's descendant, Hua Yingchi decided to take him back to the Tian Yi Clique for solitary cultivation, allowing him to reflect on his misdeeds.
He noted that he now understood that neither passion nor cultivation should be an obsession, and that only love could resolve hatred. Hua Yingchi then bid farewell, promising to visit Lin Luojing often, as he prepared to return to the Tian Yi Clique. After helping to resolve the conflict, Jiang Xuanyu, who had arrived with Hua Yingchi, rushed to find Tang Meng and presented her with a pair of bracelets on her birthday.
He confessed his love for her, explaining that while his past feelings for Lin Luojing might have caused her unease, Lin Luojing had found her own happiness, and his assistance to her and Zhong Wumei was purely out of friendship.
Jiang Xuanyu revealed he knew about all of Tang Meng's past misdeeds—using opium in the competition, sedating Lin Luojing and Liu Xiuwen to frame them by placing them together, capturing Lin Luojing with Jin Chen, and even the possible involvement of their fathers in his own father's death. He assured her these things no longer mattered because she was merely manipulated by Jin Chen, and he wished to leave the past behind and start anew with her.
With the conflict resolved, Zhong Wumei and Liu Xiuwen reconciled. Zhong Wumei gave Liu Xiuwen the Yin bead, ensuring prosperity for Qi Yu, while the Yang bead remained in Sheng Jing. Liu Xiuwen then invited Lin Luojing to tour Sheng Jing with him before he returned home. Surprisingly, Zhong Wumei agreed, explaining he had too many court duties and encouraged them to go together. Lin Luojing and Liu Xiuwen happily explored Sheng Jing, eventually sitting on a rooftop to talk.
Liu Xiuwen reassured her that he knew how to cure his own poison. Lin Luojing apologized for not being able to reciprocate his feelings, acknowledging that destiny and timing played a crucial role in relationships. She spoke of him as the hero of another story, perhaps in a parallel universe, where another Lin Luojing would choose him. They shared a poignant moment, gazing at the stars.
Later, Su Yiyi returned to Liu Xiuwen, informing him that she had arranged for the Crystal Bead to be sent back to Qi Yu. She expressed her unwavering devotion to him, asking to accompany him wherever he went, highlighting their shared fate in love.
