Unique Lady Season 3 Episode 1 Recap
> Unique Lady Season 3 Recap
In Sheng Jing, Lin Luojing is awakened from a vivid dream by her servant, Xi Que. In the dream, four men declared their love for her in various romantic settings. Zhong Wumei promised to fulfill her wishes, Liu Xiuwen pledged eternal devotion, Jiang Xuanyu compared her beauty to all the flowers in Sheng Jing, and Hua Yingchi, calling her Junior Sister, vowed to protect her from suffering in this life.
The dream culminated in all four men holding her hand, but then a fire engulfed them, and Zhong Wumei shielded her from an arrow, sacrificing himself. Upon waking, Lin Luojing finds Zhong Wumei by her bedside. She explains it was a nightmare, but he reveals he overheard her calling the names of four men and even contemplating who to choose as her "male protagonist" (a playful pun on "male pig's trotters"), expressing his jealousy.
Lin Luojing then recounts her true situation: she is an electronics student participating in a tech innovation competition, trapped in a somatosensory XR interactive drama system as the heroine. After numerous perilous experiences and five near-death situations, she finally reached the finale, ready to commit to her true love, Zhong Wumei. However, he died, leaving her stuck in the system.
When she used her last chance to "reload the game" to save him, another male protagonist (Hua Yingchi) took an arrow for her and vanished, forcing her to remain permanently within the system's world. In this system, she was originally Prince Yuan Zheng Zhong Wumei's official consort, but her status was revoked after her adoptive father, the grand chancellor, started a rebellion. She now lives in Yuan Zheng Mansion as a female doctor.
She playfully pacifies Zhong Wumei, assuring him she chose him since she called his name two thousand seven hundred eighty-nine times in her dream, calling him her "Jealous King." Zhong Wumei had rushed back overnight from a border expedition upon hearing of Lin Luojing's illness. He immediately ordered his guard, Zhang Ji, to summon the Immortal doctor, only to learn he was away.
He scolds Lin Luojing for not telling him she was sick and vows to punish her once she recovers. Zhong Wumei, who is also injured, expresses concern about her food, stating he needs to ensure she doesn't get sick from it again. When Lin Luojing expresses concern for his injury and asks where he's going, he tells her he's going to change his dressing and instructs her to wait for him in the mansion.
However, he secretly orders Zhang Ji to prepare his horse, indicating he is going to the Palace. Meanwhile, two servants gossip in the hallway about Lin Luojing and Zhong Wumei, noting that Zhong Wumei rushed to Lin Luojing's room instead of Wen Ru Yu, the current consort. Wen Ru Yu, Princess of Bei Yu, overhears them and berates her own servant for initially preventing her from driving Lin Luojing out, lamenting that Zhong Wumei still only cares for Lin Luojing.
Her servant advises her not to provoke Zhong Wumei into breaking off their engagement and instead focus on winning his heart over time. Lin Luojing, waiting in her room with Xi Que, realizes Zhong Wumei’s urgent departure and his earlier peculiar behavior suggest he went to the Emperor to argue for the restoration of her status. Xi Que questions Lin Luojing's apparent indifference to her status, but Lin Luojing states that she only cares about Zhong Wumei’s love.
However, after Xi Que recounts that Wen Ru Yu’s servant was disrespectful and suggests that the spoiled vegetables they received earlier, which caused Lin Luojing's illness, were likely Wen Ru Yu's doing, Lin Luojing changes her mind. She declares that "the peerless young lady is back online" and decides to fight for her title. She rushes out, intending to follow Zhong Wumei.
Outside the palace, Lin Luojing and Xi Que are ambushed by men who claim allegiance to the grand chancellor, seeking to kidnap Lin Luojing to force Zhong Wumei's hand. A white-clad masked swordsman intervenes and rescues her. Lin Luojing believes he might be Hua Yingchi (her "Xiao Huahua"), but the man denies it, saying he was merely passing by and intervened because of the suspicious behavior. Lin Luojing accepts his denial, remembering Hua Yingchi's sacrifice in her past "game" life.
Later, Lin Luojing accidentally collides with a cart carrying tribute from Little Britain. The accident mixes up two-legged and four-legged chickens. The Little Britain envoys, Avery, Mary, and Sonny, threaten to take Lin Luojing to the Emperor for punishment, as the number of tribute items is confidential and cannot be unsealed or recounted. Lin Luojing, using her modern scientific knowledge, quickly solves the classic "chicken and rabbit in a cage" problem.
By counting 35 heads and 94 legs, she calculates there are 23 ordinary two-legged chickens and 12 four-legged chickens. Impressed, the envoys thank her and promise to praise her to the Emperor, even offering her a basket of chickens, which she declines, only asking for one. At the imperial banquet, where the envoys from Little Britain are present, a servant suddenly collapses. The Imperial Doctor diagnoses it as a plague.
The Little Britain envoys accuse Sheng Jing of ill-treatment and threaten to abandon their alliance and seek one with Qi Yu if their illnesses are not cured. The Emperor promises a hefty reward to anyone who can cure the disease. Zhong Wumei immediately steps forward, announcing to the Emperor that Lin Luojing can cure this disease.
