Wang Cen, an instructor, quickly assembled Clan Wang members, issuing a mission to "hunt down Su Nan and Li Cu," emphasizing that they must be brought back "dead or alive." Meanwhile, Mr. Wang requested to see Shen Qiong.
Li Cu and Su Nan fled through the forest with Clan Wang members in pursuit. Su Nan cleverly shot down a surveillance camera on a tree, diverting their pursuers in the wrong direction. However, Li Cu's movements inadvertently revealed their position to a Clan Wang member. Su Nan quickly shot the man, but the gunshot drew the pursuers back. Su Nan sustained a knife injury, slowing their escape.
They cunningly created false trails to mislead Clan Wang, who eventually realized they had been set up. Li Cu and Su Nan found temporary safety. Suddenly, Mr. Wang's voice crackled over Li Cu's walkie-talkie. " Li Cu, I know you are listening now, and you have only one road ahead," Mr. Wang stated, instructing him to kill Su Nan.
If he complied, Clan Wang would "let bygones be bygones," allow him to return, and even replace Su Nan in her position. Li Cu remained silent. Mr. Wang then introduced Shen Qiong, believing she was the only one Li Cu would listen to. Shen Qiong pleaded with him, using his nickname "Pear," saying, "I have lost so much. I don't want to lose you. Come back." When Li Cu still didn't respond, she continued to urge him.
Li Cu finally broke his silence, saying, "I dare not, my lady." Overhearing, Su Nan questioned if Li Cu was "insane," warning that "we're all going to die if you do this." Li Cu, still on the walkie-talkie, expressed confidence, stating that while Shen Qiong was a Clan Wang member, "she won't kill me at least." Mr. Wang's team quickly traced Li Cu's location to the northwest and ordered Wang Cen to apprehend him.
Shen Qiong interjected, asserting she found Li Cu and wished to capture him herself. Mr. Wang agreed, handing her a gun and instructing her to bring Li Cu back alive, but if she couldn't, he should be killed. Su Nan, on the other hand, was to be killed on sight. When Shen Qiong and Wang Cen's team arrived at the coordinates, Li Cu and Su Nan were gone.
Moments later, Li Cu dropped down from a tree, tossing what appeared to be a bag with Su Nan's head inside. He addressed Shen Qiong, claiming he had killed Su Nan, adding, "I didn't kill her to go back with you. I wanna take you away with me." As Clan Wang members inspected the fake head, they were ambushed by gunfire. It was a ruse by Li Cu and Su Nan.
With Shen Qiong now on their side, the three quickly fled Clan Wang's encirclement. Shen Qiong provided a route, telling them to "go straight along the iron net, and you'll find a hole there, you can get out from there." She volunteered to distract the numerous pursuers. Li Cu initially refused to let her take the risk.
As they rested for the night, Shen Qiong asked Li Cu if he had lied to her, specifically if he was Wu Xie's spy. Li Cu denied it. She then asked, "If Su Wan didn't like me, would you like me?" Su Nan interrupted, jokingly complaining, "You are talking too loudly. Really loudly." She then warned Shen Qiong, "Good-looking boys all lie." Li Cu responded, "Although I'm good-looking, I don't lie. I don't."
The next morning, Li Cu woke to find Shen Qiong gone. Su Nan informed him that Shen Qiong had left to distract Clan Wang. Frantic, Li Cu ran to find her. He tried to convince her to come with him, saying, "We have to go together!" Shen Qiong urged him to use the escape route she provided at District Ding, No.6. Li Cu confessed, "Shen Qiong, I wanna tell you. I lied to you.
From the moment I went into Clan Wang, I've been using you all the time, and I'm the spy sent by Wu Xie. I have been lying to you all the time. I'm a liar, just go! It's not worth it." Just as Shen Qiong absorbed this shocking confession, a sniper, seizing an unguarded moment, shot her in the head. Devastated, Li Cu collapsed in grief. Su Nan rushed to him and pulled him away to continue their escape.
Outside Clan Wang's base, Wu Xie, Zhang Rishan, and other Jiu Men members had been watching. It was revealed that Wu Xie had not died but had been poisoned by Zanghai flower. Pang Wang had helped him detoxify at a temple, and they had then set out for Clan Wang's base with their companions. Xie Yuchen, though not physically present, called to assure them of his external assistance, promising to "help you out there."
Coincidentally, Wu Xie's group and Li Cu's group converged in the same forest. Wu Xie's team encountered strange statues that disoriented them, making them wander for a long time before finding their way out. Wu Xie sent men to plant explosives on Clan Wang's city walls. Upon hearing news of the base's invasion, the pursuers hunting Li Cu were recalled. Li Cu realized that Jiu Men had arrived.
Instead of meeting up, Li Cu and Su Nan seized a car and drove away. Wu Xie's team split into two: Wu Xie, Pang Wang, and Master Black set off to find the Algorithm Department, while Zhang Rishan led his men to confront Clan Wang. Following Li Cu's information, Wu Xie's group soon located the entrance to the Algorithm Department. Curiously, such a vital department was unguarded, leading Master Black to suspect an ambush.
His suspicions were confirmed when an explosion ripped through the elevator as they tried to open it, causing the shaft to collapse. Mr. Wang, watching Wu Xie on surveillance, was furious to discover he was alive. Su Nan, hearing the news, also turned her car around, intending to help Wu Xie, aware that Clan Wang's underground was filled with poisonous gas and he might die there. Meanwhile, Wu Xie, Pang Wang, and Master Black surveyed the building's layout.
Wu Xie deduced that the current floor, designed with rooftop waterproofing, was originally the top floor of a previous structure, implying another entire floor lay beneath them. He instructed Pang Wang to "blow a downward channel out." Pang Wang, finding a suitable spot, set the explosives, causing a powerful blast. Zhang Rishan's group then joined them, jumping through the newly created hole. Pang Wang placed more explosives on a door before also descending.
Soon after, Clan Wang sealed all the doors of the underground corridor, attempting to trap them. Waistcoat discovered a ventilation shaft and, after squeezing through, found the mechanism to control the doors, allowing Wu Xie's team to escape. Underground, Wu Xie's team was ambushed by Clan Wang members. Wu Xie went alone to find the Algorithm Department, while Master Black, Pang Wang, and Zhang Rishan covered his retreat.
Witnessing Wu Xie's actions, Mr. Wang immediately ordered "all teams" to execute "Plan B," which Su Nan recognized as a full-scale retreat order. She sped up her vehicle. Wu Xie located the door to the Algorithm Department and, after searching the wall, successfully found the opening mechanism. Although Su Nan declared she "just wanna leave here," her deep feelings for Wu Xie compelled her to turn back, perhaps even unbeknownst to herself.
