> Tomb of the Sea Recap

Liang Wan, Su Wan, and Master Black found themselves cornered in a dead end by the pursuing Clan Wang members. Su Wan, feeling his strength wane, fretted about dying before being admitted to college, finishing his mock examinations, finding Shen Qiong, or seeing Li Cu and Yang Hao. Liang Wan tried to console him, but admitted her own fear of dying unmarried.

Master Black chimed in, saying it wasn't easy to die and jokingly asked Su Wan if he had ever seen a dead man talking. Su Wan then let out a sneeze, revealing their hiding spot and causing the Clan Wang members to chase them again. Master Black admonished Su Wan for the sneeze, and Su Wan blamed the fragrance of Master Black's hair.

Seeing no other escape, Master Black began singing a song about "fried rice with green peppers," then grabbed Su Wan and Liang Wan and leaped off the cliff. Believing no one could survive such a fall, the Clan Wang members decided to retreat and cease their pursuit. Liang Wan eventually regained consciousness, finding herself on white sands. She struggled to crawl towards Master Black and Su Wan, relieved to find them alive, though Master Black was severely injured.

His arm had a large chunk of flesh missing due to corpse beetles. Master Black explained that these beetles burrow into flesh upon seeing blood and needed to be burned out with smoke. Liang Wan, being a doctor, used tweezers to extract the visible corpse beetles. Each extraction pulled out some flesh, causing Master Black intense pain, but he endured it without anesthetic, impressing Liang Wan with his resilience.

When Master Black asked Su Wan for food, Su Wan, despite carrying a large bag like a "Doraemon," only had adult diapers, which he offered to Master Black or Liang Wan. Liang Wan became nauseated by the sight and had to step away to vomit. Meanwhile, another group of Clan Wang members led Li Cu deeper into the area. They observed snake scales growing progressively larger, indicating the snakes ahead were massive.

Their path was soon blocked by a massive rockfall. They detoured into another chamber where a map of snake nests was plastered. As they removed the map, a large snake eye was revealed behind it, causing Li Cu to faint once more. The Clan Wang leader ordered his subordinates to drag Li Cu forward and warned them that if Li Cu resisted, they should dislocate all his soft joints, but keep him alive.

One subordinate questioned Li Cu's importance, bringing up a woman who had once claimed to be "born for Wu Xie" but had gone missing. The leader revealed the woman was his comrade and a Clan Wang member, whose predictions about odds were never wrong. He believed that if she died, she would have killed Wu Xie before her demise.

The leader then confronted the unconscious Li Cu, stating that whatever Li Cu was thinking, his choices of going up or down ultimately didn't matter, as the outcome would always be in their control. As the Clan Wang members continued, they detected activity above them and smelled barbecue, deducing it was the Nine Clans holding a party. The Clan Wang leader dismissed the Nine Clans, claiming they were no longer formidable like in Uncle Buddha's time.

He scoffed that the new Zhang Qiling was missing, the talented February Red had no successor, the Huo Clan only had a few women left, and the Chen Clan was merely a joke. He stated that eliminating the Nine Clans was a means, not their primary goal; their objective was to bring the "achievements" back to Clan Wang, specifically the snakes.

He planned for his team to rest for three hours, using special breathing techniques to minimize energy consumption, then move silently, knowing that the Nine Clans would be exhausted from their revelry. However, a dog's barking from the Nine Clans' camp alerted them, leading to a surprise attack that caught the Clan Wang members off guard. Unable to win the fight, the Clan Wang leader ordered a retreat, abandoning Li Cu.

Li Cu later woke up in a tent, finding Yang Hao beside him. Yang Hao explained that he had helped Liang Wan distract the black hairy boas below and was subsequently captured by these new people, who forced him to reveal details about the lower levels. Yang Hao claimed he only shared "some information" and no critical details, only what Li Cu himself had told him. Li Cu retorted that those were precisely the critical details.

Yang Hao described their captors as being even crazier and more psychopathic than Wu Xie's enemies. Huo Daofu entered the tent and asked Li Cu what the Nine Clans were after, stating that whatever was under GuTongJing, he would take, and that the most valuable things there were not treasures. Li Cu initially tried to deflect with a story about a fake ID, but then blurted out that "under GuTongJing, it's all snakes."

Unconvinced by Li Cu's earlier evasiveness, Huo Daofu pressed him further, demanding to know what he had seen in GuTongJing, why Clan Wang wanted him, what the drawing on his back meant, and Wu Xie's whereabouts and intentions. Li Cu, remembering Wu Xie's strict instructions, insisted he would only disclose the events of GuTongJing to Bro Man. Meanwhile, Wu Xie was still being pursued by Su Nan and her Clan Wang team.

Su Nan spotted a snow mountain in the distance and correctly surmised that Wu Xie was heading there to seek protection from Clan Zhang, making it his ultimate destination. She ordered her team to encircle him. Wu Xie, however, remained calm, telling Wang Meng that they had just 24 hours until they reached the ancient temple and everything would conclude. He then instructed Wang Meng to prepare to "fly."

Despite the rugged terrain and a bumpy ride, Wu Xie accelerated their car onto a narrow, winding mountain road, eventually driving it off a section, effectively evading Su Nan's pursuit. Huo Xiuxiu, unable to reach Wu Xie, worried he might be dead. However, Pang Wang reassured her, saying Wu Xie wouldn't die so easily.

He stressed that Wu Xie was the last hope of Old Dog Wu, and even if he entered the gates of hell, Pang Wang would drag him back. He dismissed their own recent injuries from the villa explosion as minor, confident in their resilience. Unheeding warnings, the Nine Clans, focused solely on the "treasures" of GuTongJing and unaware of the lurking dangers, continued their descent into the desert. They were prepared to claim everything beneath GuTongJing, believing the treasures were the most valuable items to be found.
