Liang Wan, impersonating Zhang Rishan, arrived at a private room in a restaurant. Luo Que had informed her that lunch was ready. On her way, Liang Wan relished the attention from women who admired "Zhang Rishan's" handsome appearance, privately finding it pleasant to impersonate him as she could "just eat and drink, accompanied by a young pretty boy. Nice." As she settled down to eat, Huo Youxue burst in.

Liang Wan, unable to speak without risking exposure, wrote the character 'love' with a pen. Huo Youxue, misinterpreting this as Zhang Rishan lacking female companionship, attempted to seduce him. She then provocatively asked why "President Zhang" was silent today after speaking with such justice yesterday. Huo Youxue angrily accused "Zhang Rishan" of trying to monopolize GuTongJing's treasures with the WuShanJu people, asserting that her organization, JinShangZhu, was determined to go to GuTongJing.

Agitated, Liang Wan tripped over a chair, accidentally touching Huo Youxue's chest, creating an extremely awkward situation. Liang Wan quickly retracted her hand. Huo Youxue, feeling humiliated, declared that JinShangZhu would be at absolute odds with Zhang Rishan from that moment on. After Huo Youxue left, Liang Wan returned to the room, realizing she might have caused trouble. She muttered about "GuTongJing, Nine Clans, and that Huo woman" being "what the hell are these?"

She decided that "retreat is always the best answer!" She then changed her clothes, intending to escape. Before leaving, she noticed an iron box on Zhang Rishan's table. Inside, she discovered the medical records of Li Cu and Zhang Qiling. She recalled having crumpled and discarded these very records earlier, wondering why they had reappeared. Just then, Zhang Rishan returned, stating the records were hers. Liang Wan angrily confronted him, accusing him of investigating her despite her helping him.

Zhang Rishan reminded her that from her first contact with Li Cu, to knowing him, and even following him to WuShanJu, she could no longer stay out of these affairs. Liang Wan declared she didn't understand and didn't want to get involved with the "breakdowns of Nine Clans and GuTongJing." Zhang Rishan then asked why she investigated Zhang Qiling. Liang Wan paused, then explained it was because they were all patients at her hospital.

Zhang Rishan confirmed he knew Zhang Qiling but could not reveal his location. He then asked Liang Wan for another favor. He presented two identical ancient architectural design drawings: one from the Eastern Han Dynasty, specifically the twelfth year of YongPing, and another related to GuTongJing, dated to 1945 and made by a genius class. Zhang Rishan challenged her to memorize all these complex drawings overnight, promising to tell her Zhang Qiling's whereabouts if she succeeded.

Liang Wan attempted to photograph the designs with her phone, but Zhang Rishan stopped her, emphasizing their importance and forbidding them from leaving the room, except in her mind. Liang Wan struggled with the memorization, eventually falling asleep at the table. The next morning, Liang Wan woke to find Zhang Rishan had prepared breakfast. She was delighted, and flirted with him, realizing he could cook.

Zhang Rishan explained that living alone for a long time made one learn things to pass the time. He avoided living with someone because, as an immortal, he didn't want to witness them leaving before him. Liang Wan assured him she wouldn't leave first, even claiming her fortune-telling predicted a long life. Zhang Rishan advised her not to seek Zhang Qiling if she truly desired a long life.

Liang Wan insisted Zhang Qiling was very important to her, not because she liked him, but for "other reasons." Zhang Rishan told her that if she truly wanted to find Zhang Qiling, he needed to ensure her survival, warning that the more she knew and the closer she got to him, the more dangerous it would become. He instructed her to go home after breakfast, promising to arrange a meeting once she completed her task.

As he turned to leave, Liang Wan embraced him from behind, tearfully asking if he was forcing her to confess her love. She pleaded for another chance, acknowledging the difficulties of their world and promising to become stronger. Zhang Rishan turned to her, leaning in as if to kiss her, but instead whispered that he trusted her, yet if that day truly came, she wouldn't want to be with him. He then left without looking back.

Frustrated, Liang Wan cursed Zhang Rishan as a "jerk." Meanwhile, Li Cu returned to school to ask for a month-long leave, but his teacher angrily refused, reminding him of the upcoming GaoKao and demanding his father come to school. Sitting at his desk, Li Cu's mind drifted back to his experiences. He recalled Master Black's words about him being unable to return to an ordinary life and eventually looking down on his peers.

He stood up, interrupting the teacher, and delivered a mature speech. He recounted his near-death experience a month prior, which made him realize his value and that there was something urgent only he could do. He told the surprised teacher he had compelling reasons to take leave, thanked her for granting it, and playfully promised to bring health care products for her temper when he returned. Li Cu then walked out of the classroom, seemingly having secured his leave.

Li Cu's mature demeanor quickly faded as his legs felt weak upon seeing Su Wan outside the school. Su Wan informed him that a truckload of packages had arrived, and another was on its way, totaling about sixty boxes. Li Cu decided to rent a warehouse in the suburbs. He paid the deliveryman extra to transport the packages there.

The deliveryman initially expressed fear upon seeing what appeared to be a hand in one of the boxes, but Li Cu quickly covered it up, claiming they were props for a rich friend's party. Seduced by the extra payment, the deliveryman agreed to transport the "props" but refused to unload them. At the suburban warehouse, truckloads of refrigerated fresh bodies arrived.

Li Cu intended to open them with Yang Hao and Su Wan, but they were too terrified, leaving Li Cu to do it alone. Despite his own fear, Li Cu rapidly unpacked several boxes, only opening them without daring to look inside. The packages continued to arrive in increasing numbers for Li Cu, and more individuals were becoming entangled with GuTongJing.

Wu Xie remained trapped in GuTongJing, awaiting Li Cu's rescue, and these numerous packages were undoubtedly deeply connected to GuTongJing. Zhang Rishan, Luo Que, and others arrived at the China-Myanmar border, noticing extensive signs of mountains being blasted and trees burned. Luo Que noted that it was man-made, not a natural disaster. Zhang Rishan deduced that someone was quarrying stones from mountains to extract something.

They encountered a local, who explained that the entire village was mining petrified wood for their chief. Luo Que's keen sense of smell detected the scent of fresh blood on the villager, realizing he was not a simple country folk and was skilled in kung fu. Zhang Rishan warned his team to be cautious, as they only had three days to complete their mission.
