> The World of Fantasy Recap
In the Purple Mist Sea, Hua Yuxing mistakenly brought Chu Li along. He informed his father, Hua Tianqiong, who then ordered Chu Li to return to the Terminator Sect, stating he had nothing more to do with the current affairs. Chu Li initially resisted, asserting his role as a spirit artifact for Gong Mulie and his desire to protect his brother.
However, under Hua Tianqiong's forceful persuasion, Chu Li relented, agreeing to leave while asking Hua Tianqiong to look after his brother. Hua Yuxing later asked his father if things were "sorted out," to which Hua Tianqiong cryptically replied that it was "just a beginning." Yiyuan woke up, immediately embracing Pan Qianqian and expressing his relief at being alive. Lian Rou observed this, acknowledging Yiyuan's change of heart and approving of his newfound affection for Qianqian.
Pan Qianqian wept with emotion, and Yiyuan consoled her. Yiyuan then reunited with Qin Lie, affirming his true identity as Yuxin, who grew up with Qin Lie, and pledging their unbreakable bond. Lian Rou inquired about Yiyuan's two resurrections, which he admitted he didn't fully understand. Prioritizing Ling Yushi's safety, Qin Lie decided they should seek her out immediately, believing his grandpa and Uncle Hua had already handled matters concerning Chu Li, Du Shaoyang, and Tang Siqi.
Upon finding Ling Yushi, Qin Lie was met with her coldness. Ling Yushi accused Qin Lie of false promises and negligence, declaring that she wanted to end their relationship. She then exposed Ling Xuanxuan (formerly known as Pan Qianqian) for pretending to have amnesia, despite having regained her memories in the Graveyard. Ling Xuanxuan tearfully explained she continued the pretense to spare Yiyuan sadness.
Ling Yushi, however, invited her sister to join her in exterminating the Human Race and rejuvenating their own, threatening to kill anyone who stood in her way, including Qin Lie. Recognizing Ling Yushi was controlled by the Supreme Voodoo Insect, Qin Lie swiftly activated the Spirit Pillar, specifically the Healing Pillar, to confine her and attempt to cure her Voodoo poison. Ling Yushi scoffed, doubting the pillar could hold her, but Qin Lie's intention was to heal, not merely confine.
To his surprise, Yiyuan could see that the Healing Pillar was filled with a "sea of Yixin leaves," a sight invisible to Ling Xuanxuan and Qin Lie. Ling Yushi also seemed to recognize the Yixin leaves, remarking that they were spiritual herbs only she could cultivate. Lian Rou hypothesized that Yiyuan's unique vision might be linked to his two resurrections.
After a brief flashback of a child planting Yixin leaves, Yiyuan suddenly remembered, exclaiming that he was that child, and the one who planted the Yixin leaves, a fact he emphasized to the bewildered Qin Lie and Ling Xuanxuan. Inside the Healing Pillar, Ling Yushi recalled a vision from the Scripture of the Nine Hells where she killed Qin Lie, asserting that she didn't need to know more about the past. She remained hostile, insisting on killing Qin Lie.
Realizing his connection to the Yixin leaves, Yiyuan believed he could save Ling Yushi, but needed to die again to re-enter the illusion. He implored Qin Lie, Ling Xuanxuan, and Lian Rou to kill him, even attempting to take his own life but failing. Ling Xuanxuan suspected he too might be under the influence of the Supreme Voodoo Insect.
When Ling Xuanxuan couldn't bring herself to harm him, Lian Rou stepped forward, explaining her belief in Yiyuan and her lack of emotional attachment made her suitable for the task. She stabbed Yiyuan. Ling Xuanxuan cradled Yiyuan's increasingly cold body, fearing he wouldn't awaken. Meanwhile, a distant voice noted Yiyuan's infection by the Voodoo Insect but observed, "He can't be dead then. He did it!" suggesting his sacrifice was successful.
Duan Qianjie relentlessly followed Xie Jingxuan, seeking to understand his burgeoning feelings for her. Xie Jingxuan, reflecting on her love and obsession for Du Shaoyang, recounted her own painful journey, changing from her former self into a timid and humble person consumed by worry for Du Shaoyang. She detailed her failed attempts to kill him and his subsequent attempts on her life, questioning the tragic outcome.
When Duan Qianjie asked for help to comprehend love, Xie Jingxuan, noting his inexperience, challenged him to close his eyes and "feel what you want to feel," before kissing him. Hua Tianqiong, observing with Hua Yuxing, explained that a mere kiss wouldn't bring enlightenment without understanding causation, revealing that Duan Qianjie was the son of Zhu You, a formidable Witch Master of the Suoluo Realm. Hua Tianqiong then transferred memories to Duan Qianjie.
In a flashback, Zhu You congratulated his son, Qianjie, on completing his cultivation and understanding various aspects of life, including love. Qianjie described his first encounter with love in the Colourless Realm, feeling both heartbeats, and realizing why people become entrapped by it. He affirmed he had severed his ties to love, believing it to be a personal joy that hinders enlightenment. Zhu You praised Qianjie's high comprehension and named him "Qianjie" in anticipation of his future trials.
Qianjie offered to become a spirit artifact to lead the Golden Legion against the God Race. Zhu You instructed him to climb the Thoughtful Mountain, a path where all his past tribulations would resurface. Another flashback revealed Qianjie departing from a woman named Sang Ying, whom he claimed he would not remember, stating his love for her was merely a means to achieve emotional detachment.
Back in the present, enlightened by these memories, Duan Qianjie realized he had only experienced love, not truly understood or transcended it, admitting his regret regarding Sang Ying. A voice from within the memory, presumably Zhu You's, then offered to "end it" for him. Duan Qianjie then pushed Xie Jingxuan away, recognizing her as the source of his "love tribulation" and questioning her actions.
Inside the Healing Pillar, Ling Yushi, still under the Supreme Voodoo Insect's control, rebuffed Qin Lie's attempts to connect with her past affections, asserting her resolve to kill him. Qin Lie discovered that the Yixin leaves were ineffective, as Ling Yushi's palm remained cold, indicating the Voodoo Insect's continued dominance. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, Qin Lie led Ling Yushi to the Thunder Pillar, intending to use its power to end her struggle and, if necessary, die with her.
As the Voodoo Insect prepared to strike, a sudden counter-attack injured Ling Yushi. She revealed this was her own blood, the blood of the Nether Race Queen, which she had embedded within Qin Lie during her recuperation. This was a failsafe, designed to kill her if the Voodoo Insect ever compelled her to harm Qin Lie, as she anticipated her own potential murderous intent.
She expressed surprise that Qin Lie would choose to die with her, noting it was the first time she had seen him cry for her, and found contentment in knowing she held a place in his heart. While regretting not knowing their ancient past, Qin Lie assured her that only their future mattered, promising to carry her in his heart and share all experiences.
At this profound moment, the Scripture of the Nine Hells was reactivated, displaying visions from the past. A grown Gong Mulie confronted Wuchun, demanding information about his father. Wuchun perceived his anger stemmed from both determination and a broken promise. Gong Mulie accused Wuchun of failing to uphold her promise to return and find him. The vision then showed a younger Gong Mulie being ambushed by numerous attackers.
Wuchun rescued him, remarking on the dishonorable nature of so many ambushing a child. She brought him to the Deserted Spirits Realm, a peaceful place away from conflict, but refused to disclose the reasons for the attack, stating he wasn't powerful enough to protect himself. She promised that once he was strong enough, if the truth remained hidden, she would reveal it to him, assuring him that "People at the Deserted Spirits Realm will keep their promises."
The vision returned to the adult Gong Mulie, who challenged Wuchun about her unkept promise, to which Wuchun evasively claimed she was too busy fulfilling her duties as the "next Mother of Earth."
