The World of Fantasy Episode 10 Recap
> The World of Fantasy Recap
In the dungeon, Pu Jiao was executed by Liang Zhong. Afterward, at Xingyun Pavilion, Qin Lie and Du Shaoyang, under Song Tingyu's direction, presented a fabricated story to others. They claimed Pu Jiao, out of jealousy, instigated a fight between them, accidentally triggering the Luminous Pillar's power and almost destroying Icestone City, until Song Tingyu intervened.
Song Tingyu then announced her immediate departure for Purple Mist Sea to confront the Horned Demon Race, commanding Qin Lie and Du Shaoyang to accompany her, while Du Haitan was to follow after attending to urgent matters. Li Zhong Zheng and Lu Li were instructed to inform their master to prepare for deployment.
Later, Qin Lie confessed to Ling Yushi that the story about Pu Jiao was a lie, a necessary facade for the "greater good" and his ambition to meet Master Mo Hai of the Artefact Forging Sect. Ling Yushi, though worried about his journey to Purple Mist Sea, urged him to follow his path and not let her be a hindrance. Qin Lie promised to return and take her to see all the wonders of the world.
Ling Yushi then mentioned her own impending departure to Qisha Valley with Li Zhong Zheng for her fire poison treatment, warning Qin Lie about Li Zhong Zheng's questionable character. Qin Lie misunderstood her warning to be about Lu Li. Before leaving, Qin Lie visited Gao Yu, who was grieving over his sister Gao Huang'er's body, the evil ring on his finger pulsating ominously. Gao Yu, wanting to be alone, asked Qin Lie to leave.
Du Haitan confronted Du Shaoyang, revealing he saw through their deceit but chose to play along for the larger strategic picture. He warned Du Shaoyang not to trust Qin Lie, asserting that Qin Lie would never be his true friend. Du Shaoyang then sought out Qin Lie. They acknowledged their mutual distrust but agreed to temporarily set aside their personal grievances to unite against the Nether War and seize the opportunity to meet Master Mo Hai.
They vowed to settle their personal scores once the war concluded. Qin Lie then went to bid farewell to Li Mu, thanking him for his past advice. Li Mu, feigning nonchalance, gave Qin Lie a manual containing the forging technique for "Terminator Profound Bombs" along with a list of necessary materials, instructing him to practice it, but warned him to be careful not to blow himself up.
Meanwhile, Ling Chengye received a letter from Ling Yushi, which Ling Xuanxuan read to him. The letter detailed the escalating Nether War, Qin Lie's involvement, the clarified cause of Uncle Hua's death (stating it was not Du Shaoyang's doing, though the full truth remained undisclosed), and Ling Yushi's own journey to Qisha Valley for her fire poison treatment. The letter also conveyed her master's order for Ling Xuanxuan to return to Qisha Valley.
Ling Chengye, despite his worries, encouraged Ling Xuanxuan to pursue her own path. However, Ling Xuanxuan, grappling with the unresolved truth of Hua Yuxin's disappearance, had to temporarily set aside her search and her home, embarking on the journey back to Qisha Valley as ordered by her master. She bid her father a tearful goodbye.
Song Tingyu, Qin Lie, and Du Shaoyang arrived near Purple Mist City, a heavily fortified stronghold against the Nether tribe, guarded by Xie Zhizhang of the Eight Extremes Temple. On the battlefield, Song Tingyu questioned Xie Zhizhang about casualties. Xie Zhizhang, annoyed by her inexperience, openly challenged her leadership, contrasting her approach with that of Saintess Xie, his niece, who prioritized the well-being of soldiers.
Humiliated, Song Tingyu ordered Liang Zhong to remain behind and took Qin Lie and Du Shaoyang to the armoury hall to meet Master Mo Hai. Qin Lie and Du Shaoyang, aware of Master Mo Hai's reputation for being harsh and eccentric, were surprised when the master, after criticizing and discarding a poorly crafted blade, accepted them as helpers. Du Shaoyang chose to manage Master Mo Hai's meals, while Qin Lie was assigned to run errands.
That night, Song Tingyu, sensing Xie Jingxuan's lingering presence and recalling their shared childhood dream of exploring the Purple Mist Sea, ventured out to sea. She found Xie Jingxuan on a small boat, who revealed she faked her death to escape the duties of a Saintess and pursue love, far from the world's conflicts. Song Tingyu condemned her for abandoning her responsibilities, but Xie Jingxuan retorted by highlighting Song Tingyu's own obsession with Gong Mulie.
They discussed the mysterious figure at the Luminous Pillar, with Xie Jingxuan speculating that it was Gong Mulie's consciousness projected onto Qin Lie, whom she believed was more formidable than Du Shaoyang. She openly declared her affection for Du Shaoyang, warning Song Tingyu against harming him. After a heated argument, Xie Jingxuan offered Song Tingyu advice: to use a "love spell" on Qin Lie to make him compliant and extract information.
Meanwhile, Ling Yushi, accompanied by Li Zhong Zheng, arrived at the Water Valley in Qisha Valley. The valley master, Jiu Liuyu, examined Ling Yushi's fire poison, offered an elixir, and advised her to focus on cultivation, assuring her of eventual recovery. Li Zhong Zheng then escorted Ling Yushi to her room, presenting her with the "Heavenly Water Spirit Record," a high-level water spirit art.
As he tried to touch her hand, he was interrupted by Lu Li, who sternly warned Ling Yushi to stay away from Li Zhong Zheng and accused her of seducing her "brother." Later, Du Shaoyang, performing his kitchen duties, was astonished to find Xie Jingxuan working as a helper in Purple Mist City. That night, they met secretly. Xie Jingxuan served him a meal she had personally prepared.
Du Shaoyang, impressed by her culinary skills, volunteered that he had not married Ling Yushi. He then pressed her about how she gained access to the highly restricted military zone, questioning her true identity and intentions. Xie Jingxuan boldly confessed her love for him, stating her sole purpose was him. However, Du Shaoyang gravely rejected her, declaring his disinterest in romantic love and urging her to leave, as her presence would distract him from his goals.
Xie Jingxuan insisted on staying, promising to share her knowledge on how to defeat the Nether tribe and earn Song Tingyu's favor. Following Xie Jingxuan's advice, Song Tingyu invited Qin Lie to dinner, hoping to glean information. Qin Lie, however, was wary and ate quickly, intending to leave. Exasperated, Song Tingyu forcefully invaded his consciousness with her spiritual power. Within Qin Lie's memories, she witnessed a pivotal moment: Gong Mulie turning, revealing Qin Lie's own face, confirming the powerful connection.
To her shock, her spiritual power was violently repelled by Qin Lie, causing her to vomit blood—an unprecedented backlash. As Du Shaoyang arrived, intending to share Xie Jingxuan's strategies, he found Qin Lie standing motionless with closed eyes, and Song Tingyu hastily retreating to her room, clearly injured and needing to restore her spiritual balance.
