> The Moon Brightens for You Recap

Feng Bufei, fearing torture, reveals to Lin Fang and Zhan Qinghong that Wang Bucheng is in fact Wang Dun. He states that Wang Dun is the one who killed Lin Xiaotian and the Zhan Family, and that Wang Dun wants to become emperor and even tried to kill him using the Seven-star swordsmanship. Although Zhan Qinghong initially doubts Feng Bufei's sincerity, Lin Fang acknowledges Feng Bufei's profound insight, deciding not to torment him further for the time being.

Jian Lin, however, seems to find amusement in Feng Bufei's plight, making him fetch water, chop wood, and cook daily. If Feng Bufei displeases him, Jian Lin readily uses silver needles on him, causing Feng Bufei great pain but leaving him unable to openly complain. Zhan Qinghong is deeply troubled by the revelation that Wang Dun, a man she views as completely evil, wields such power and aims to usurp the throne.

She fears that if Wang Dun is not stopped, the people of Xiao Empire will be enslaved and all who oppose him will face disaster. Lin Fang agrees that Wang Dun's strength is formidable, especially with his mastery of the Seven-star swordsmanship. He believes Zhan Qinghong must continue practicing the Seven-star swordsmanship herself to have any hope of defeating him.

Zhan Qinghong is torn, as she had previously sworn before the Wulin community in Jiangdong to abandon and never again practice the Seven-star swordsmanship. Lin Fang reassures her, pointing out that many heroes have faced difficult choices between personal vows and national duty.

He explains that the fate of the country is not decided by a single person or a single sword, and encourages her to do her best without putting too much pressure on herself, promising his unwavering support regardless of her decision. Over the next few days, Zhan Qinghong struggles to make progress, unable to fully grasp the sword art's intricate formulas. Lin Fang, with his exceptional insight, integrates his knowledge and personally guides her.

He explains that the Seven-star swordsmanship comprises not only sword techniques but also underlying military strategies and mental cultivation. He elucidates the meanings of several complex formulas, such as "Sword hits the heavenly gate and sees Alkaid," which aims to control rather than injure, and "controlling the wolf and chasing the sun," which demands a decisive, no-retreat approach to intimidate foes.

He also explains "dragon roaring at sun" and "The seven stars are hidden," which signify advanced internal energy manipulation and a decisive conclusion, respectively. With Lin Fang's guidance, Zhan Qinghong begins to achieve an initial mastery of the Seven-star swordsmanship, though he admits he is still puzzled by the sixth formula, "Assistant entering the hall quickly." Meanwhile, Feng Bufei secretly watches their training, marveling at the swordplay. Zhan Qinghong, angered by his peeking, warns him fiercely.

Jian Lin steps in to stop her, claiming Feng Bufei is his servant. Feng Bufei, defiant, provokingly remarks that Wang Bucheng's swordsmanship is far superior. After Lin Fang and Zhan Qinghong depart, Jian Lin discovers that Feng Bufei has mistakenly chopped valuable Phoebe wood as firewood. Enraged, Jian Lin punishes him with two more needles and drags him back to their hut.

Concerned about his identity being exposed by Feng Bufei, Wang Dun decides to execute his plan earlier than anticipated to prevent any irreversible complications. He tasks Ji Xiaoran with assassinating Xiahou Ying. However, Wen You arrives with his troops, intercepting Ji Xiaoran's attempt. Instead of killing him, Wen You arrests Xiahou Ying under the pretext of "colluding with rebels to assassinate the prime minister," and orders his detention at Dali Temple for interrogation.

Ji Xiaoran, having failed to accomplish his mission, returns to inform Wang Dun. Wen You then personally visits Wang Dun to apologize for his actions, explaining his reasoning. He observes Wang Dun's practice of the Seven-star swordsmanship, noting that despite his mastery, it depletes his internal energy and can lead to qi deviation.

Temporarily suppressing his suspicion about this, Wen You reveals that Jun'an's Imperial Guards number in the tens of thousands across six camps, with five of them fiercely loyal to Xiahou Ying, despite the Guerilla camp being supported by Wang Dun. Wen You argues that Xiahou Ying's sudden death would only provoke suspicion and unrest among the loyal generals.

Instead, he proposes keeping Xiahou Ying alive, using him as a pawn to control the other generals, a strategy akin to "holding the emperor hostage to command the feudal lords." Wang Dun, momentarily suffering internal energy depletion after practicing the Seven-star swordsmanship, sees the wisdom in Wen You's plan and accepts his explanation. He promises Wen You a share of the empire once he becomes emperor.

However, when Wen Rou learns of Xiahou Ying's arrest, she storms into the House Consort and confronts Wen You. She argues that Xiahou Ying is an honorable man and not a conspirator, questioning Wen You's motives and accusing him of becoming a "bad person" who harms his friends. Wen You asserts that he is acting righteously, claiming their future is predetermined by their noble birth, and that going with the flow is the only path to success.

Wen Rou fiercely disagrees, urging him to take control of his own destiny, explaining that true destiny lies beyond current constraints. Wen You dismisses her as naive, warning her that her defiance could endanger the Wen Family. Hua Yao, distressed by the siblings' escalating conflict, intervenes and promises Wen Rou that she will arrange for her to visit Xiahou Ying.

Because Lin Fang and Zhan Qinghong have been spending time together instead of practicing, causing Feng Bufei to stew in impatience, coupled with Jian Lin's constant needling, Feng Bufei finally erupts in anger. He struggles against the silver needles, inadvertently triggering a powerful reaction that miraculously cures his lifelong twitching disorder. Overwhelmed with gratitude, he realizes Jian Lin's deliberate use of needles was a form of treatment.

Feng Bufei, now fully cured, pledges his undying loyalty to Jian Lin, who dismisses his thanks, stating he only acts out of interest in rare diseases and warns Feng Bufei to keep his conduct clean within his Tianxin building. Jian Lin, as usual, goes to listen to the "Wulin Rumors," but is annoyed that the storyteller deliberately withholds the ending, leaving him frustrated.

Lin Fang, however, understands that this incomplete storytelling is a coded message left by Huo Yang, signifying that "all preparations are complete, and only the final step remains." Lin Fang attempts to enlist Jian Lin to deliver a golden hairpin to his friends outside the valley, hoping to send word of their safety. Jian Lin, suspicious of Lin Fang's motives, initially refuses, believing it to be a ploy for escape.

Lin Fang denies any such intention, acknowledging the difficulty of escaping the valley. Jian Lin ultimately agrees to consider it, telling him to leave the hairpin. Feng Bufei also tries to team up with Lin Fang and Zhan Qinghong to find a way out, but they decline, prioritizing their sword training. That evening, Zhan Qinghong confides in Lin Fang about her struggles with the Seven-star swordsmanship, expressing concern that she might lose her hair from the intense study.

Lin Fang, misunderstanding, humorously offers to find her hair growth medicine, which leads to some playful banter. He then seriously assures her of his unwavering support, promising to be more attentive and to always be by her side. Later, while Zhan Qinghong rests, Lin Fang sits alone, continuing to meticulously study the perplexing sixth sword formula, "Assistant entering the hall quickly." He notices Jian Lin secretly leaving their hut and follows him, which leads him to discover a mysterious mountain cave.
