The pursuers sent by Fu Sheng used the Still Water Technique, thinking it would intimidate Shen Li, but they did not realize they were facing the only ancient deity across the Three Realms. With just a light wave of his hand, Xing Zhi froze one of them into an ice sculpture. Xing Zhi announced his identity and told them to pass a message to Fu Sheng: he would formally meet him in a few days. Terrified, the pursuers fled.

Xing Zhi was now completely exposed before Shen Li. He smiled, having already guessed that Shen Li might have recognized him long ago. Shen Li was very grateful for Xing Zhi’s rescue, but Xing Zhi was not satisfied. Although he had defeated the pursuers, he had not protected Shen Li at her most critical moment. Even now, he was still blaming himself for letting her fall into danger and lose her strength. Fu Rong Jun arrived without invitation.

Hearing their conversation, he realized he no longer needed to disguise himself and promptly informed Xing Zhi of the latest information he had gathered. The two rare medicinal ingredients were in the possession of Jin Niangzi and a snow mountain demon. In order to help Shen Li recover her five senses as soon as possible, Xing Zhi announced that he would take Shen Li to the snow mountain to seek the treasures in a few days.

Fu Sheng, gravely wounded, spent his days practicing and cultivating. In order to quickly restore his strength, he decided to go to the snow mountain to find a spirit pearl to repair his inner core. Walking together through the vast snowy mountains, Xing Zhi told Shen Li that Jin Niangzi was actually a golden snake demon—an ancient spirit possessing endless treasures.

Shen Li casually marveled at how old this being must be, unintentionally touching a nerve in Xing Zhi, who thought she was disdaining him for his age. Realizing her mistake, Shen Li quickly apologized, finally coaxing Xing Zhi into a better mood. They eventually found the golden snake demon.

Shen Li curiously observed that this person wore men’s clothing, had two thin mustaches, but referred to herself as "this humble lady," making it impossible to tell whether she was male or female. Even stranger, the golden snake demon seemed to know everything Shen Li was thinking.

Shen Li quietly asked Xing Zhi if this demon must know some kind of bewitching fox magic, but Xing Zhi calmly reassured her, saying he would not be tempted by the golden snake demon. Through feeling Shen Li’s pulse, the golden snake demon quickly determined that there was a strand of spiritual energy inside Shen Li that clashed with her own vitality.

Originally, this spiritual energy might have been part of a magical artifact, but after being burned at high temperatures, it had fused into Shen Li’s blood, becoming a conflicting force. The snake demon’s diagnosis was completely accurate, and indeed, she possessed the medicinal ingredients needed to restore Shen Li’s five senses. Being extremely shrewd, the golden snake demon deliberately suggested introducing a handsome man to Shen Li.

Xing Zhi immediately cut her off, offering instead to pluck a star from the Celestial Realm to gift her. In return, the snow mountain would lose some of its coldness and gloom. Shen Li was deeply moved. If Xing Zhi plucked one of the Seven Stars of the Celestial Realm so rashly, would it not provoke dissatisfaction from the Celestial Realm? Xing Zhi urged the golden snake demon to begin restoring Shen Li’s five senses as soon as possible.

Although one day was originally scheduled for preparation, he did not want to give the snake demon any loopholes, so he insisted she send the treasure that very night to aid Shen Li’s recovery. The recovery site was extremely secluded. The snake demon repeatedly emphasized that, as a man, it would be inconvenient for Xing Zhi to enter and that he should wait outside the cave.

Although she gave many instructions, Xing Zhi once again warned her not to bring up any topics about other men during Shen Li’s recovery.
