Despite his weakened state, Xiao Qiushui fiercely fought the Power Gang. Witnessing Xiao Qiushui's desperate resolve, Taichan and Tianzheng considered transferring their internal energy to him. However, both masters were afflicted with gu poison, and they feared the transfer would also infect Xiao Qiushui, causing him immense suffering, like "having your bones ground to dust."

When Xiao Qiushui learned of their offer, he knelt before them, stating that he was already a broken man and did not care if he was poisoned. He pleaded with them, declaring that he would endure any pain for revenge and to protect his parents, begging them to grant him their internal energy. Seeing his unwavering determination, the two masters agreed, and the three immediately sat down to transmit the internal power.

Some time later, Xiao Qiushui's martial arts greatly improved, even surprising the masters, who remarked on his unbelievable resilience and limitless potential if he survived. During the intense fight, Liu Suifeng arrived and threw Xiao Xilou's jade pendant at Xiao Qiushui. Xiao Qiushui recognized it, recalling his father's words that the pendant never leaves his side if he is alive, and immediately understood that his parents had fallen victim to Liu Suifeng.

Enraged, he lunged at Liu Suifeng, demanding to know where his parents were and vowing, "today you die!" The two fought fiercely, each move lethal. Taichan and Tianzheng, observing the battle, were astonished that Xiao Qiushui showed no signs of gu poison. Tianzheng realized that because Xiao Qiushui's martial arts had been crippled earlier, there was no internal energy for the gu worms to latch onto. As Xiao Qiushui and Liu Suifeng battled, Longhu, a Shaolin disciple, suddenly attacked Tianzheng.

He explained that he owed a debt to the Power Gang for saving his life, which he now repaid. But he also owed many years of teaching to Tianzheng. He chose to take his own life to atone for his actions against his master. As Longhu died, Tianzheng lamented, "This karma. . ." Meanwhile, Mo Yanxia, revealed to be the White Phoenix, shifted her allegiance and joined Liu Suifeng in attacking the Huanhua Sect.

Xiao Qiushui, wielding water as a sword, struck Liu Suifeng in the chest. Liu Suifeng retaliated with increased force, and both sustained injuries. Liu Suifeng then led his forces away. Shortly after, Taichan and Tianzheng succumbed to the gu poison and died. Liang Dou lamented their deaths and the revelation that Lady Mo of the Hengshan Sect, also known as the White-Robed Guanyin, was part of the Power Gang, questioning how Daxi's martial world had fallen so low.

Xiao Yiren rushed to the front courtyard and found Xiao Qiushui kneeling, utterly devastated. He pressed Xiao Qiushui for answers about their parents. Xiao Qiushui, heartbroken, confessed that Feng Lang was Liu Suifeng, and it was his fault for trusting him, which led to their parents' demise and the ruination of Huanhua. Enraged, Xiao Yiren repeatedly struck Xiao Qiushui, proclaiming he disowned him as a brother and that Xiao Qiushui was no longer part of the Xiao family.

Xiao Kaiyan, who had just arrived, was shocked to hear the news and, after learning the truth, also blamed Xiao Qiushui, wishing his brother had died in Guangling instead. Liu Suifeng was surprised by Xiao Qiushui's rapid martial arts progress but considered the deaths of Taichan and Tianzheng a significant gain. With her identity exposed, White Phoenix (Mo Yanxia) prepared to return to the Hengshan Sect to manage affairs before reporting back to the Power Gang leader.

Before leaving, she told Song Mingzhu to keep an eye on Liu Suifeng, her "beloved." Song Mingzhu remained silent, fearing criticism for overstepping. Liu Suifeng expressed concern that White Phoenix might become "another Longhu." However, White Phoenix was ambushed by a masked man shortly after her departure. That night, Kang Chuyu met with the masked man, using a whistle as a signal.

The masked man expressed satisfaction with the current chaos in the martial world, aiming to exploit the conflict between the Power Gang and other sects for his own benefit and reshape the martial world's order. Xiao Qiushui remained unconscious for a long time. He awoke from a nightmare where Liu Suifeng killed his parents, mistaking Deng Yuhan and Zuo Qiu for Liu Suifeng. He brutally choked them, nearly suffocating them, while Tang Fang watched in horror.

Eventually, Tang Fang helped him regain some clarity. Still consumed by grief, Xiao Qiushui walked alone in the courtyard, reminiscing about his parents' loving yet stern demeanor and feeling excruciating pain in his heart. The next day, the three Xiao brothers began to arrange for the deceased. Xiao Xueyu finally returned to Huanhua, heartbroken by the devastation. She expressed her guilt for failing her adoptive parents but urged Xiao Qiushui to rest and recover, recognizing his injuries.

Due to the scorching heat, it was crucial to bury the bodies immediately. However, the mortuary at the foot of the mountain feared the Power Gang's return and would not come. Thus, the Xiao brothers, with the help of others, decided to bury the fallen disciples on the mountain itself. At Sword Retreat, Xiao Qiushui erected gravestones for Xiao Xilou and Sun Huishan.

He reflected on his journey, recalling his initial belief that his knowledge of the future would allow him to prevent tragedies. Yet, he realized that he had changed nothing, only exacerbating the situation and exposing his own arrogance and ignorance. He lamented that he wasn't the true Xiao Qiushui, a noble martial hero, and that he had only made things worse, sacrificing even the original Xiao Qiushui's potential for revenge, ultimately becoming "a complete failure."
