Li Xuantong, severely wounded, returned the Luo God Sword to Luo Li, urging her to remember her true self. He recounted their shared past, how he followed her from the Luo God Clan to the North Sect, accompanied her through the Lei Territory, and witnessed her longing for a certain man. He reminded her of their oath as sworn siblings, and how she had entrusted him with the sword before leaving the Luo God Clan for that man.

Li Xuantong then revealed that Luo Li, as the former Goddess of the Luo God Clan, never truly loved Xue Lingzi, but rather, her heart always belonged to Mu Chen. Luo Li, beginning to regain fragments of her memory, acknowledged him as her "Brother." Just then, a spy attacked Luo Li, but Li Xuantong selflessly pushed her aside, taking the fatal blow.

With his dying breath, he told Luo Li that Mu Chen was waiting for her in the North Sect. Jiu You arrived to find Li Xuantong dead. Luo Li, now exhibiting signs of control by Evil Deity's power, explained that demonized Formation Guardians had attempted to destroy the Firmament Rank, and though she and Li Xuantong had subdued them, he had succumbed to an ambush.

Unrecognizing Jiu You, Luo Li threatened to capture her for trespassing but ultimately allowed her to leave out of respect for her connection to Li Xuantong. Jiu You, however, insisted that Luo Li accompany her, revealing that Mu Chen was gravely injured and only Luo Li could save him. Luo Li questioned why Jiu You, as a phoenix and kin to Mu Chen, couldn't help him herself.

Jiu You explained that Mu Chen was afflicted by Evil Deity's Eye of Void, which had fueled his profound obsession with Luo Li, rendering him powerless. She further clarified that Mu Chen was confined to the basement library of the North Sect.

Assuring Luo Li that Mu Chen's deep love for her would prevent him from causing harm, Jiu You recounted Mu Chen's past sacrifices for Luo Li, including suffering blindness, facing death in the Lei Territory, and his desperate attempt to prevent her marriage to Xue Lingzi. Hearing this, Luo Li asked for confirmation that Mu Chen had indeed stopped her marriage to Xue Lingzi, which Jiu You affirmed.

Despite this, Luo Li still believed Mu Chen was responsible for killing her beloved Xue Lingzi and resolved to go to him for revenge. Without the obstruction of the All-embracing Circle, Evil Deity successfully inscribed his name onto the Firmament Rank, though not fully, thus harnessing its power and declaring his ambition to dominate the Great Thousand World. Grand Master Tailing, alerted to anomalies, discovered that Evil Deity had demonized Luo Li, leading to his clan members attacking each other.

He also realized that Luo Li, under Evil Deity's control, had destroyed the All-embracing Circle, enabling Evil Deity's attempt to seize the Firmament Rank. Despite his attempt to reactivate the All-embracing Circle, Grand Master Tailing was confronted and killed by Evil Deity.

Evil Deity then boasted that with one of the two people capable of activating the Circle dead and the other under his control, no one, not even the God of Heaven, could stop him from becoming the sole ruler of the Great Thousand World. Jiu You brought Luo Li to the North Sect.

Shen Cangsheng and Tan Qingshan, present with Jiu You, expressed worry about Mu Chen, whose spiritual power was unstable due to the Eye of Void, fearing he might become like Liu Mubai. They believed Luo Li's presence might help him. Mu Chen awoke, overjoyed to see Luo Li, who then began to heal him. However, Luo Li, still under the influence of Evil Deity's power and with fragmented memories, began to interrogate Mu Chen, demanding "yes or no" answers.

She asked if she had been engaged to Xue Lingzi, and Mu Chen, despite his anger, confirmed it. She then asked if he had interfered with her wedding at the Xue God Clan, which he also confirmed. Convinced by these answers that Mu Chen was responsible for harming Xue Lingzi, Luo Li exclaimed that she remembered everything and promptly attacked and knocked him unconscious.

Jiu You recounted Li Xuantong's death to Shen Cangsheng and Tan Qingshan, explaining how Luo Li told her he was ambushed by demonized Formation Guardians. However, Cangsheng and Qingshan found it suspicious, believing that even demonized guardians couldn't defeat Li Xuantong. They suspected that Evil Deity had also exerted control over Luo Li, especially given her amnesia, and realized Mu Chen was in peril.

Rushing back, they found Mu Chen unconscious and an "evil eye" on Luo Li's neck, confirming she was under Evil Deity's influence. As they tried to apprehend her, Mu Chen awoke, only to find Luo Li holding a sword to his throat, accusing him of killing her "husband," Xue Lingzi, and vowing revenge.

Mu Chen tried to convince her that she had no husband and never truly wished to marry Xue Lingzi, but Luo Li blamed him for disrupting her life. Overwhelmed and outnumbered, Luo Li fled, with Jiu You halting any pursuit. Qin Tian, who was guarding the Heavenly Palace, noticed the Tuling Guards' sudden retreat. Upon investigation, he learned they were escorting their future Saintess.

He later confirmed this was Luo Li, who had helped Evil Deity conquer the Tailing Ancient Clan and obtained the Firmament Rank. Consequently, Evil Deity intended to appoint her as the Tuling Guards' new Saintess. Qin Tian, who sustained minor injuries when Luo Li sensed him observing, confirmed that Luo Li had completely lost her sanity. Mu Chen regained consciousness under the care of Shen Cangsheng, Tan Qingshan, and Jiu You.

He was distraught to learn from Jiu You that not only did Luo Li have an evil eye on her neck, but he did as well. Jiu You explained that Luo Li's demonization was more advanced, and if both their evil eyes fully opened, they would be completely consumed by evil. Realizing that forcing his spiritual power was counterproductive, Mu Chen decided to seek help from Dragon Roc in the Lei Territory.

Dragon Roc agreed to strike Mu Chen's evil eye with Tiangang Thunder, but Mu Chen had to endure the full force of the lightning with his physical body, unable to use the Great Futu Spell. Despite the intense pain, the Tiangang Thunder proved ineffective against the evil eye. Dragon Roc then suggested phoenix fire as the only remaining option he knew of, prompting Mu Chen to consider it.

Jiu You warned him of the excruciating, doubled pain due to the existing evil power within him, but Mu Chen was resolute, stating that if the pain killed him, the Eye of Void would be destroyed along with him. However, even the phoenix fire ultimately failed. Qin Tian arrived at the North Sect, informing Shen Cangsheng and Tan Qingshan that the Tailing Ancient Clan had fallen and Luo Li was now the Tuling Guards' Saintess.

He confirmed Mu Chen also had an Eye of Void, explaining that if it fully opened, Mu Chen would become an incurable Tuling Guard. Mu Chen, resolute, asked them to kill him if that happened. Qin Tian then proposed using the Heavenly Sword, forged by the God of Heaven's primal spirit, as it could counter all evil and destroy the eye, though it carried the risk of piercing Mu Chen's body.

Mu Chen was prepared to use it immediately, but Jiu You, considering the less advanced state of his evil eye compared to Luo Li's, urged him to wait, arguing she wouldn't die with him prematurely. Mu Chen, however, eventually used the Heavenly Sword to remove the evil eye from his body, causing him to collapse. Meanwhile, Evil Deity instructed Wen Qingxuan to choose an auspicious day to enthrone Luo Li as the Tuling Guards' Saintess.

Despite Wen Qingxuan's reservations about Luo Li's loyalty and strength, Evil Deity emphasized the strategic importance of Luo Li, who possessed divine bloodlines from both the Tailing Ancient Clan and Luo God Clan. Her appointment, he declared, would send a powerful message to the righteous, asserting the Evil Spirit Clan as the true inheritors of orthodox divine bloodlines.
