She explained that Evil Deity’s power was already blocking their path from this point, and Liu Mubai would surely not relent. Mu Chen insisted that they must first rescue the Heavenly Emperor before they could save his mother.
Mu Feng cautioned that many traps likely lay ahead, urging everyone to be careful. Mu Chen, however, declared his fearlessness, relying on the presence of his allies. Just as they discussed, Liu Mubai and Wen Qingxuan arrived with their Tuling Guards. Mu Chen acknowledged their renewed encounter, and Luo Li expressed her frustration at seeing Liu Mubai again. Realizing they were pressed for time, Mu Chen decided they should take the initiative.
Liu Mubai mockingly asked if they were all there to die, while Jiuyou challenged Wen Qingxuan, asserting her inferiority compared to a true goddess. Wen Qingxuan retorted, promising Jiuyou would pay for her words. Man Tuluo then sensed the Heavenly Emperor’s vitality draining rapidly. Mu Feng proposed they split into two groups: one to engage Liu Mubai, and the other to hasten to the Heaven Hall.
Shen Cangsheng volunteered to stay behind with Tan Qingshan and Ye Sun'er to hold off Liu Mubai, urging Mu Chen to go ahead. Mu Chen initially resisted leaving anyone behind, but Luo Li emphasized the urgency of the situation. Shen Cangsheng reassured Mu Chen that they would regroup later. As Shen Cangsheng, Tan Qingshan, and Ye Sun'er confronted Liu Mubai, Shen Cangsheng expressed regret for not having seen through Liu Mubai's ambition earlier.
Liu Mubai dismissed his words, noting Shen Cangsheng’s sincere nature. Tan Qingshan questioned Liu Mubai’s loyalty, reminding him of North Cangsheng Spiritual Academy's kindness and how it was destroyed by the Black Dragon. Liu Mubai, however, disavowed any connection to the Black Dragon and ordered his subordinates to attack. He then observed Shen Cangsheng's internal injuries from falling into the Heaven River, warning that using his power could be fatal.
Despite Liu Mubai's taunts and an offer to join Evil Deity for immense power, Shen Cangsheng firmly refused. As Liu Mubai prepared a final blow, Tang Qian'er suddenly intervened, taking the hit meant for Shen Cangsheng. Tang Qian'er, whose spiritual veins had returned, explained that she came because she was worried.
Seeing Shen Cangsheng gravely injured, she urged Tan Qingshan and Ye Sun'er to use a Transmitting Circle to rescue Jiuyou, insisting she would handle Liu Mubai and the incapacitated Shen Cangsheng. When Liu Mubai commanded her to move aside, she threatened to kill herself if he didn't let Tan Qingshan and Ye Sun'er leave. Liu Mubai reluctantly lowered his weapon, allowing them to depart.
He then accused Qian'er of pushing him to such a state, revealing that he had swallowed an evil spirit and undergone complete demonization to return her spiritual power, emphasizing that he was no longer the Liu Mubai she knew. Qian'er, however, maintained that she still sensed his goodness and vowed to bring him back to the righteous path. Liu Mubai, declaring that he had repaid his debt to her, swore that he would no longer show her mercy.
Meanwhile, Mu Chen, Mu Feng, and Luo Li found themselves transported to the Heaven Dungeon. Mu Feng, injured from a disrupted Sword Formation earlier, assured them he would recover. Luo Li recognized the place as the legendary Heaven Dungeon, built jointly by the Futu and Luo God Clans to be unbreakable and guarded by countless Heaven Soldiers and Generals.
To their surprise, they discovered the dungeon filled with Heaven Soldiers, all demonized by the Power of Whisper and devoid of reason. Among them was Qin Tian, one of the Heavenly Emperor's two great generals, also under evil influence. Facing overwhelming numbers, they created a barrier and sought an exit. Luo Li recalled her grandfather's words that the Heaven Dungeon was built according to the Futu Ancestral Pagoda.
Mu Chen realized the exit wasn't a physical door but a Transmitting Circle, and the amulet in Qin Tian's hand was its key. He used the Galaxy Circle and star-fire stones to restrain the Heaven Soldiers, then initiated the Soul Cleanse Spell to purify the evilness within Qin Tian and the soldiers. During the process, Luo Li and Mu Feng sustained injuries while protecting Mu Chen, with Mu Feng falling into a weak state and passing out.
Recovering his sanity, Qin Tian, along with the other Heaven Soldiers, pledged their allegiance to Mu Chen and offered to help fight the Evil Deity. Elsewhere, Wen Qingxuan trapped Jiuyou at the entrance of the Xuantian Altar, drawing in Heaven River water, which consumed spiritual energy and would instantly turn ordinary people into blood. Despite Jiuyou's immortal bloodline, she couldn't endure it indefinitely and regretted her blood connection with Mu Chen, believing it would endanger him.
Just as Wen Qingxuan prepared for a final strike, Tan Qingshan and Ye Sun'er arrived, driving Wen Qingxuan away and rescuing Jiuyou. Jiuyou then instructed Tan Qingshan and Ye Sun'er to go assist Mu Chen. Back at the Heaven Hall, the Heavenly Emperor's spiritual power had not yet fully recovered. He could only temporarily restrain Lu Heng with the Soul Cleanse Spell, but it was insufficient to completely purify Evil Deity's influence.
Under Evil Deity's control and empowered by vast evil energy, Lu Heng sought to take the Heavenly Emperor's head as a reward for Evil Deity's favor. Man Tuluo bravely defended the Heavenly Emperor, but Lu Heng, having absorbed excessive evil energy, managed to knock her down.
Man Tuluo warned Lu Heng that he was absorbing evil energy beyond his body's limits, risking self-destruction, but Evil Deity mocked her concern for a mere pawn, asserting that this empathy was why the Heavenly Emperor could never surpass him. Mu Chen informed Qin Tian that Lu Heng had been entirely consumed by evil power, becoming a pawn of the Evil Deity.
Qin Tian promptly attempted to activate a Transmitting Circle to return them to the Heaven Hall and aid the Heavenly Emperor. However, due to his own spiritual energy depletion, he couldn't open it immediately. Mu Chen decided they would pool their spiritual energy. Luo Li, despite her injuries, insisted on accompanying Mu Chen, but he refused, telling her he would swiftly rescue the Heavenly Emperor and asking her to wait for him. Gathering the Heaven Soldiers' spiritual power, Mu Chen and Qin Tian successfully activated the Transmitting Circle and returned to the Heaven Hall, where they immediately confronted Lu Heng.
