> The First Frost Recap
The episode opens with a flashback to Wen Yifan's first day of high school, her father dropping her off. As she rushes to find her classroom, Sang Yan notices her. He grabs a basketball from another student and bounces it near her on the stairs, hoping to get her attention. Mistaking him for an older student, Wen Yifan asks him for directions to Class 17.
Sang Yan, pleased she called him "Senior," gives her vague directions, telling her to check the room numbers herself. Years later, Sang Yan brings Wen Yifan home for Spring Festival Eve dinner. His parents welcome her warmly and playfully scold Sang Yan for not visiting or contacting them more often, saying he might not have come home for the holiday if it weren't for Wen Yifan.
Sang Zhi tells Wen Yifan that Sang Yan was devastated after their breakup and that, although he used to be arrogant, he became more considerate and humble. She also reveals that Sang Yan studied hard to get into Nanwu University to be with Wen Yifan, then questions why Wen Yifan chose Yihe University instead. Wen Yifan admits that she intentionally didn't apply to Nanwu and that she has never liked anyone else.
During dinner, Sang Yan’s mother compliments Wen Yifan's beauty and says that Sang Yan is lucky to have her. Wen Yifan clarifies that she and Sang Yan did not date in high school and that their relationship officially began when he visited her during a business trip in Beiyu. Sang Yan's mother gives red envelopes to Sang Yan, Sang Zhi, and Wen Yifan, declaring Wen Yifan as part of their family. Wen Yifan is touched by this gesture.
Later that night, Sang Zhi gets on a phone call with Duan Jiaxu, so Wen Yifan quietly slips into Sang Yan's room, where he is waiting for her. She tells him that she admires his family and that their love has shaped him into the "proud, confident, passionate, and radiant" person he is. Wen Yifan asks if he has a nickname like his sister, Zhi, then decides to call him "Yan."
Wen Yifan kisses him, and he returns the kiss, telling her to always call him that. The next day, while they are packing, Sang Yan finds a notebook with the name "Mu Chengyun" written inside. He playfully teases her about keeping a former colleague’s signature and implies that the colleague had a crush on her. Wen Yifan clarifies that Mu Chengyun was an actor in a ghost movie they watched together, reminding him that he was scared during the screening.
Needing another box, Wen Yifan finds a hidden tin box in Sang Yan's room, discovering countless train tickets from his trips to Yihe and newspaper clippings of her published articles. Overwhelmed, she becomes emotional. Sang Yan comforts her with warm drink. Wen Yifan admits that she saw him at her graduation ceremony but didn't approach him because she thought she was mistaken. She also admits to pretending to sleepwalk so she could hug him before they were officially together.
Sang Yan feigns being upset, accusing her of having ulterior motives. They arrive at their new apartment. The access code is the date they first met. Wen Yifan notices that the new apartment's decor and furniture are identical to their previous home. Sang Yan explains that he designed it that way so she would feel comfortable, revealing that he finished decorating it two years ago but redecorated it to truly feel like "their" shared home.
